Please join me ladies. Don't want to be too sad and lonely on a Friday night.......

Bloss, did your leather jacket arrive? Can you please link to the M&S flats?

Libra, it is not the most stylish changing bag, I admit, but I like the way it hooks onto the pushchair.

There is a break in the rain here so we are off to the park.

oliviafrombolivia · 04/08/2010 15:33

hello all, I must say I have recently discovered all your wise and avid threads and am glued to the past ones, dutifully clicking links, (sadly a lot of the older ones are now defunct). You have given me great ideas, and will try to be more open minded about a great number of styles. Can any of you stylish ladies recommend a second hand bag site, I am hankering after a Mulberry Elgin bag, which of course I now can't find.. with thanks, Olivia

mrsjuan · 04/08/2010 15:36

mm - I have requested you, or at least I think it's you. I am J O

Can I ask what shape trousers people are going for in AW?

Sounds like you had a good time in Cardiff Bloss & looked great.

DD demanding I look at pictures of ducks. Bye

DolceeBanana · 04/08/2010 15:44

Oh tracey that is sooo spooky - many years ago we almost bought a house in N Wraxall.

I started going to Toddlers there when DS was a baby.

I want some Uggs for house purposes too....! I have some Uggs slippers but they are v slipper-ish and so not the most becoming of things (bought by my Mother), to keep my feet warm during night feeds for my baby!
Bunny - that's something to think of! I also have the White Company velour hooded robe in chocolate which is gorgeous and warm for getting up to babies in the middle of the night for their feeds....

Our house although new (rented) is very chilly too...although I'm hoping that we shall have our own house by the next winter, it will probably be old and chilly too!!!!

DolceeBanana · 04/08/2010 15:50

Bunny - have been thinking about you, and would def recommend getting some house help for the first few months...just someone to do a few hours a week cleaning and maybe some ironing (DHs shirts etc...?). Did this when I had DC3 and was a huge relief.

Just wanted to say as it was a big help for me....

DolceeBanana · 04/08/2010 15:52

Mrs J - trousers: well have decided on straight cut indigos; biker style jeans and cropped slim smart trousers...

BelligerentGhoul · 04/08/2010 15:56

Would any of you lovely wise ladies please like to help me on my thread in S&B? It is not really about gothy things, if the title puts you off.

DolceeBanana · 04/08/2010 15:56

Hi Bloss - went to Cardiff recently and do enjoy being there! Glad you had a nice time. Can you link to diamante flats - they sound v nice!

I can honestly say that I will not be doing tunic tops...3/4 summers being preggers has put me off that! So, will be revelling in slim fit waist length tops, trousers and dresses...

florenceuk · 04/08/2010 15:59

Sorry no linking to Zara although if you look online they seem to have all the stock that was in the sale . I don't know if I have the willpower to give up sugar! maybe I can do it post 7pm....

blossoming · 04/08/2010 16:43

Florence, giving up sugar was like giving up smoking. Gets easier all the time. Easier as I don't eat processed food.
Will link to the flats later when dh out of the study.

traceybath · 04/08/2010 16:54

Bloss - has your leather blazer arrived yet and was it any good?

And has DVF been ordered yet?

blossoming · 04/08/2010 17:38

M&S diamante flats link here.

carciofi, traceybath, I've had a despatch email for the jacket so I'm hoping it will arrive tomorrow.
Re the dress. DH said at lunchtime that we could order it tonight! I obviously need to go away for the night more often. Reminds of way back when I went away on a hen weekend for 2 nights, and when I got home dh had booked a trip to New York, where we then got engaged!

carciofi · 04/08/2010 17:38

Olivia, are you near any Mulberry factory shops? If not, check on eBay and you can have the bag authenticated by the Purse Forum before you buy.

Zembo · 04/08/2010 17:39

Will be back later and haven't caught up, but I have a Mulberry Elgin in the chocolate colour Olivia - I bought mine from a reputable seller on ebay - it was a couple of years ago though.

carciofi · 04/08/2010 17:41

Very nice Bloss!

Romanarama · 04/08/2010 17:41

ny and cake when and where are you going to Tuscany, if it all happens?

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 04/08/2010 17:51

Who was looking at the mulberry bag which was black with brown straps?
Cheaper alternative, not quite as nice!

What do you all wear with your pumps (as in bare feet?) those pumps are lovely bloss.

oliviafrombolivia · 04/08/2010 17:51

thanks Carciofi and Zembo, just what I was looking for, I'm near Bicester (derr!), will see what they say, and the purse forum seems like a good idea so have bookmarked.

Aren't any on eBay in the right colour at the moment, (am looking for the light tan colour, Oak I think its called).

thanks all, am still catching up with older threads (up to Feb at the moment..)

blossoming · 04/08/2010 18:13

Bare feet libra, with j&j holiday skin on said bare feed, even in winter!!

notyummy · 04/08/2010 18:15

Roma - for a week from 22nd August. Going to [http://www.agriturismo-etrusco.com/castagneto-carducci.php Castagneto Carducci]] (although not that agriturismo) which is about 45 mins south of Pisa.

Need to catch up, but was feeling like hadn't posted in so long, so will read up later, but Helloooooo!

Today, am beyond thrilled to have won a beautiful Bell Tent from Pedlars. The competition required one to write about a favourite childhood memory of camping. And they picked mine! Which is now going to be publsihed in hipster kids mag Anorak.

The tent looks like it will fulfill all my glamping/festival/flowerchild fantasies, esp. once filled with floor cushions, fairy lights and vintage flags.

MarshaBrady · 04/08/2010 18:18

Wow that is brilliant Plum! Well done!

Looks really lovely.

notyummy · 04/08/2010 18:33

Someone has just become my friend on fb - from this thread.

Plum- that's fantastic!

And LTEC - great great news. Won't say too much incase Mr Oliver puts a spanner in the works again...but so glad it looks like it's back on.

Libra - thanks so much for the links. The bag looks like a steal. Very tempted.
