Would a camel cape be entirely wise? Or a pair of houlihans a bit too avid?? Who cares!

Please join me ladies. Don't want to be too sad and lonely on a Friday night.......

carciofi · 30/07/2010 12:17

Hells, welcome back. Hope your suitcase turns up.

Blossoming, LN2T worked for me this morning for 15% off at Boden.

traceybath · 30/07/2010 12:25

Hells - Helloooo! We've missed you. And am loving all your holiday clothes - have wish-listed the Viv as its gorgeous.

Bloss has done a fab re-cap . Ooooh am loving that leather blazer Bloss - what colour are you planning on? I may order in the dark brown as am returning a load of preview stuff and if I exchange I should still get the 20% off I think.

Did you order any preview stuff as you should be able to also do that.

Just popped into town to pick up temperley dress (remember my outnet bargain) from tailors where its being taken up and let out by half an inch on seam to enable me to breathe.

Tailor's mate was in shop and they were saying - do you really want it taken out by so little and I told them about what a bargain it was. So his mate gets up and takes a look and says 'wow - you do realise its Temperley don't you' ummmm yes . They were then very keen to make it perfect for me.

Feel all wrong today though as its bloody freezing as I was wearing little blouse so shivered round the shops.

Right - better go and get DS1 from football and then off to friends later.

Oh and apparently wedding tomorrow is 'dress-up' so lordy knows what I'll be wearing. As for me dress-up means serious heels and I just can't do proper heels when out with the dc's.

VerityBrulee · 30/07/2010 12:44

Welcome back Hells you holiday sounds amazing

Bloss it is bloody freezing here too, and raining, I hate this weather, I am tempted to put on opaques in July. Not fair. Leather jacket a great purchase esp with Carciofis 15% off. I am tempted by wool crops, they are a little bit Celine, or perhaps I am delusional!

All thoughts of capes erased from my mind by Bonpoint A/W, want it all for me dd. In Boden age 13-14 girls fits me, but I think Bonpoint sizes are teeny.

Enjoy Hamburg Fritzi I had a fling with a boy from Hamburg in college, didn't last long enough for me to visit him sadly!

Yay for boot success Marsha - at last

LTEC signed up to your blog this morning, but my name came up as DS2 so had to spend ages working out how to delete him! Will try to join as myself later Take care of yourself.

mrsjuan · 30/07/2010 12:44

Welcome back hells, glad you had a good holiday - clothes look beautiful esp the anglomania dress - have put that in my favourites to keep an eye on!

Also love the leather blazer blossoming - looks like it would last a long time. I think I am in your neck of the woods next week visiting DH's grandparents.

Have you tried on temperley dress yet Tracey? Do we get a photo?!

Cake - glad you're feeling better -you look absolutely amazing and model like on your blog photos

blossoming · 30/07/2010 13:26

Dress warmly mrsjuan!! Bring waterproofs..

Jacket is £208.25 with discount. Tempting, tempting..

Great news re shoes marsha

verity, I've looked at those cropped trousers too.

Any ideas for a wet afternoon in Wales?

roary · 30/07/2010 15:24

Bloss have succumbed and ordered the jacket in black. Looks even better in the catalogue and I figure tons of wear will follow. Also, am not going to be buying any dresses for a/w because of breastfeeding. So it is my treat

VErity, I also loke the cropped trousers.

DolceeBanana · 30/07/2010 15:46

Hiya...

Welcome back Hells! Holiday sounded wonderful...and outfits are tres elegant!
Ooh...what happened on the house you went to see before hols...not sure you did an update?

Cake - glad you are feeling brighter....green dress and 'brown' sandals...not tan...(pedant that I am!)...look very stylish and gorgeous together....Hope Princess P has an amazing birthday party (i know her bday is 2nd, but is the party this weekend?)...if so, have a wonderful time! All these summer babies....!

Traceyb - are you wearing the Temperley to wedding? Where is the reception being held? Bath? How exciting......I love glam 'do's'....I am sure you have loads of things you could wear....but yes, champagne, vertiginous heels and DCs quite a combination!

Verity - Bonpoint amazing ! Love it all...

Just back from picnic with friend and her 3 DCs....children enjoyed! Mummies knackered!

Mumsnut · 30/07/2010 15:47

Stop me if you've seen it but would this cape from Isabella Oliver tick one of my AW boxes ??

www.isabellaoliver.com/womens-clothing/uk/600/coats-and-jackets/OT420.html

bunnymother · 30/07/2010 15:52

Afternoon!

Cakey - hope you are taking v good care of yourself. You nurture your little ones so beautifully, hope you save some care for yourself. Enjoy the birthday party!

Hells - welcome back! Oh, I do love your holiday dresses!! They are just the sort of thing I would love (am looking forward to regaining my normal body post DCs).

Tracey - love that Wallis red dress, enjoy it Vin! Can you tell me how good it is when you get it? Vicarious shopping thrill...

MrsJuan - God, not at all perturbed by your delighted congratulations - they are lovely to receive. I worry as a hobby, am an aware of the risks (almost tired of talking / thinking about them), so really nice to get injections of happy good wishes.

Vin - you poor sweetheart, what an ordeal your P is putting you through. Of course you have feelings for him, as he is the father of your DCs, but that doesn't make him an acceptable life partner. Another point -
do you want him to influence how your DS behaves? I think for his sake, if not for your own, you need to be cold and resolute. You can cry and let yourself feel vulnerable when alone, but you need to think about what is best for you and DS, then harden your heart to get there. My God I am bossy!!! Was delighted to hear a professional describe you as quite beautiful, though - isn't that something?!

Notyummy - I would have loved that compliment if I was you, would have made my day. Of course would have tried to look unaffected at the time.

Err, can't remember anything else. Damn my mental fog.

roary · 30/07/2010 16:03

Bunny Mumsnut's coat would be a perfect maternity/non maternity transition piece

Also hoping things are well with LTEC and Vin.

LetThemEatCake · 30/07/2010 16:07

quickie from iPhone - got the job. Thanks again for all the good luck vibes

hopefully this means that I get to be just as avid as wise in the near future ...

carciofi · 30/07/2010 16:29

Congratulations LTEC!

FritziGreenEyes · 30/07/2010 16:35

Cake that's fantastic! Congratulations!!!!!!!!

bunnymother · 30/07/2010 16:40

Woohoo - am cheering as I type, Cakey!

roary - aren't you sweet, thank you for thinking of me. The coat would be perfect, but is £109, more than I want to spend for something I won't get much wear out of.

Now, let's hope you all won't think less of me if I show you the Zara coat I just bought on ebay for when am massive? My true stinginess is coming out for you all to see!

And am having quiet afternoon so just bought this black leather hobo which also comes handily in cream so too bargainous not too. Can return to TK Maxx easy peasy if they are awaful. But if I keep them, at least won't be devastated when if they get damaged by DD/at playground etc. Oh dear, I am about to get thrown off this thread.

Bonsoir · 30/07/2010 17:45

VerityBrulee - Bonpoint do a teen line called YAM that is sold in the flagship store in rue de Tournon and in a standalone store in rue de Courcelles, and on the Bonpoint website. Same-ish stuff as for children, and goes up to a (small) French zize 40.

Whelk · 30/07/2010 17:55

Carciofi legs are reasonably long and slim so will give a subtle pattern a go!
LTEC- Congratulations!
Hells- Your holiday wardrobe sounds like a dream. I would be enormously chuffed if my dh said something like that to me (and didn't follow it up with some 'witty' comment!)

notyummy · 30/07/2010 18:22

Well done ltec!

Will post more later. Slightly hungover and still a bit emotional from Toy Story 3 this AM!

OP posts:
blossoming · 30/07/2010 18:27

Well done on the jacket purchase roary. Can't wait to hear what you think of it!
Will wait till after holidays to get mine - wise.
Bought a dress in sainsbury's this afternoon. Avid but seriously unwise. I looked like a sausage escaping it's casings in it!

Great news on the job ltec. I've lost your blog again. Can you put a link on your profile?

LetThemEatCake · 30/07/2010 18:36

thanks ladies

welcome back hells! fab that your holiday wardrobe was so well received

current downer due largely to holiday sitch btw .. quite involved though, But just to reassure you nothing major or meaningful

bloss it's here

MarshaBrady · 30/07/2010 18:37

well done ltec!

Acne skinny jeans arrived and I love them. Go very well with navy VB ankle boots.

(had wardrobe creep, a new thing meant I needed another new thing... well you know).

Now just need some patent ballerina flats...

and then I can get on with AW10

traceybath · 30/07/2010 19:16

Yeay to LTEC!

And notyummy - you're not meant to drink at the cinema

DolceeBanana · 30/07/2010 19:34

Whooo - hooo La Cake! Go girl! Well done!!!...I'm chinking you with a gorgeous glass of champagne! And Cake, you look so little in your blog! Teeny and petite..! Gorgeous outfits...you do not need to let all and sundry know that they were mostly £ rather than ££££, because you can carry it off to grand effect - v lucky!

Not surprised your chuffin' peed off, shall we say, re: hols ! Lol though at the epithet for Mr O!!! Mind you, your estimation on what 'holidays' entail for most of us is spot on...made me laugh again! So maybe the good coffee, Italian Vogue etc etc is a good idea....

DolceeBanana · 30/07/2010 19:40

well traceyb! What are you going to wear tomorrow, hmmm....?

Zembo · 30/07/2010 19:41

Cake that's fabulous news, congratulations! I KNEW you would get it , didn't doubt it for a moment.

Hells you sound so glam!

Tracey I meant to thank you before for your compliment re: my hair. Truth is though that I seem to be surrounded by uber glamorous mummies so very easy to feel a bit inadequate!

Marsha well done on the shoes!

bunnymother · 30/07/2010 19:45

Oh Cakey I hear you! Am also v disappointed that I can't visit home, but have much more day to day support than you, so imagine this would have hit you harder than mine has me. You poor love missing out on your holiday! But I must say, as I just posted on your blog, love seeing all your fantastic outfits!! Hope you do more of that on your future posts - v inspiring for dullards people like me.
