As the old one is nearly full!

All & any vaping chat welcome.

No question is too daft to ask. We've all been there at the start of vaping in the minefield that it is.

Only rule is: No Willy Waving!!

Thanks all! I've been using it for a couple of days now and I think the first day or so I wasn't vaping enough, so by the end of the day I really wanted a fag.

I have an eGO One, which I preferred in the shop as it was less bulky.

Hi all, New to this thread, I've just ordered a fancy vaping device from Amazon to replace my cheaply corner shop one and I've cut down from 30 fags a day to 10ish on that . Here's hoping this new one helps me kick them for good!

Thanks! I put the moneyin a jar and bought the new kit with it, really want to give up after 17 years, scary when I type that!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 26/09/2015 19:30

Well done Geraldine Flowers Fantastic name, btw!

Polter, I saw Vape Escape was closing, do you have any idea why? I bought my first ever liquids from there, it's very sad.

dita, I'm currently trying out a Taifun that's wetting itself everywhere, even when upright. It's a really lovely vape but it's very fiddly and temperamental. I think the cat looked at it funny this time Grin I read somewhere that the Atlantis doesn't like it if the coil is screwed in too tight.

GeraldineFangedVagine · 26/09/2015 19:46

I thank you!

I'm getting on fine with the Kayfun Polter and have bought a second one, along with some pretty bellends for them Grin. The Taifun is a leaky git but I haven't given up on it yet because when it's working well, it's lovely. I'll be interested to know how you get on with the Triton, I've been looking at those.

PurpleElla · 29/09/2015 10:31

Hi, joining the thread for the first time.

I have been vaping for around two and a half months and desperately trying to quit the last stinky for around a month. I used to smoke five a day, and got rid of the first four by delaying the time I was allowed to smoke. However the last 8pm smoke I allow myself is my sticking point it seems.

I have no idea why I'm still smoking it, I don't really enjoy it, or how I feel after (yucky, a bit sick, drained). I think it's stubbornness, I've managed to do seven days without it in a run so far but every time something stresses me out (which is often as I have aspergers) I grab the baccy.

I use an iStick with mini nautilus or K1 tank, and have just discovered dragons blood (custard and strawberry) liquid which is lush.

Financially I reckon I have spent around £250 on liquids, and wrong choices before finding my perfect vape. This is loads more than I spent on five roll ups a day! Still guess I can't put a price on not getting a horrid smoking related disease.

Anyone else duel fuel for so long, advice for finally quitting?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 29/09/2015 19:52

DH took a whole year to lose the last fag of the day (in his case, first thing in the morning). His was a case of stubbornness too. Eventually the day came when he lit it, thought, 'this is horrible' and put it straight out again and had a vape. Don't worry, you'll get there Smile Sounds like you're nearly there already.

I've been here today. Had a great time and got to shake hands with Clive Bates and Gerry Stimson!

I don't think the age checks are a bad thing but I can't work out how they are actually going to carry it out.

I am still eying up the kanger subox nano. I think I have managed to make my atlantis stop leaking.

I think that last fag is a hard one to give up as thats the last link.

ditavonteesed · 01/10/2015 14:44

I have new shineys, I went to get a new tank as I am fed up of my leaky atlantis. Anyway I had my eye on a nautilus but the guy in the shop managed to convince me otherwise, so I now have an eleaf ijust 2 kit. I can use the tank on my coolfire and I have a spare battery. I really rather like it, it's simple. Also got some lovely fizzy orange juice while I was there. Now if I had remembered to prime the coil first it would be grand (bluergh).

Raia · 02/10/2015 12:07

Hello all

Further to Dita's remark about the Atlantis ... I got so fed up of leaky tanks I've ended up sticking with iClear 16s, which seem very old school now. The other clearos I tried were a pita (nautilus, aerotank, protank). Could I have had problems with the other clearos because of the juice I was using? I used to vape Grant's Vanilla Custard all the time but went off it and now tend to vape standard non-gourmet liquids.

I've just treated myself to a lovely green Coolfire 4 and quite fancy a new/better clearo: but which ones are the least leaky/gurgly/hassle? Or just stick with the trusty old iClear 16s on the basis if it ain't broke, don't fix it?

PS over 18 months off the stinkies now Shock

I stopped smoking and started vaping 3 years ago next month. I've been using the 'totally wicked' brand curve E-cig. It's the best one I've used, never seems to go wrong, tank lasts months. Nice strong vape.
I find all the geeky stuff about e-cigs a bit boring tbh but luckily I have a vaping geeky dad who checks my e-cig if anything goes wrong!

Jw35 · 02/10/2015 13:20

Oh and just for a boast..my dad won a competition with the company totally wicked last year. He designed a t-shirt. We had a VIP trip to their offices in Blackburn, Germany and Florida! It was ace to see how the facories run and chat to them about it all. There's some vaping lounges but not enough in this country!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 02/10/2015 20:33

It's my vapeversary! Two years ago today I switched to vaping and I have now not smoked 10,950 fags Grin

This also means it's magi's vapeversary - three years! Well done Flowers

Well done Raia and Jw35 too Flowers

Happy Vapeversary to you all Grin Flowers

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 03/10/2015 19:11

Started vapng today for a late Stoptober, dual fuelling at the moment and smoked just 4 cigs rather than 20 so it's progress.

Can anyone recommend a sweet tasting spearmint liquid? The mint I'm using is a bit harsh & not appealing to my sweet tooth.

Vapouriz menthol, it's ok but I'm not loving it. I had one 6 months ago that was quite sweet and spearminty like Pacers if you're old enough to remember them Grin but my glands where sore and swollen after a few days on it.
