I'm popping over thanks to magimedi and her invitation on my desperation thread.
(Can't link to it because I don't know how)
I've been given up smoking for about 5 years and I'm in my late 40's.I smoked for about 30 years -save a period of 4 years where I gave up (and dieted at the same time,so lost weight too) back in my early 20's,and for my pregnancies.
This was hard giving up,but I did it.
However I replaced smoking for eating, and its spiralled out of control.I've gone from a sporty, normal weight smoker who loved exercise to an overweight person who is really not able to exercise at the level I did before because of the extra weight on my joints and being outof puff. The weight has steadily gone on since I gave up,and I've tried pretty much everything to tackle it.
In desperation I've decided it might be better to resort to smoking again.I feel miserable fat,and honestly am starting to feel the beginnings of worse health issues relating to over eating than ever I did when I was an exercising smoker.
However magi has suggested that since I know smoking helps me,as an individual, curb my eating, and I seem to be hellbent on that route,I think about trying vaping instead.
Could this be worth a try for me,and whats it all about?
