As the old one is nearly full!

All & any vaping chat welcome.

No question is too daft to ask. We've all been there at the start of vaping in the minefield that it is.

Only rule is: No Willy Waving!!

Thanks, it's in the basket and I'm itching to press the checkout button!

Hello everyone.

I've been vaping for 3 months now with an aspire battery with a kangertech tank. I bought a nautilus tank from amazon and it's huge and doesn't fit. Do I send it back or buy one of those huge batteries? I sound like a complete amateur I know!

Wadingthroughsoup · 01/04/2015 21:44

Hello sj, I am a total amateur too, but it sounds like you have the standard nautilus but you'd need the nautilus mini for your aspire battery. Either that or, as you say, buy a different battery. I have recently bought an eleaf istick (which I love!) I have the nautilus mini on it but it came with an adaptor which I assume is for fitting different sized tanks onto the battery.

I could be COMPLETELY wrong about that though :D

BotoxBitch · 01/04/2015 21:46

What difference does variable wattage and voltage make? X

BotoxBitch · 01/04/2015 21:48

Just ordered some monkeys jizz! Anymore recommendations? X

Allergictoironing · 01/04/2015 22:01

Wading the adaptor on the iStick is for standard EGO fitting tanks like the GS-H2 etc, ones designed to go on stick shaped batteries (Spinners, EVODs, EGOs etc.

Having got my shiny new mini nautilus just today I can assure you that it will fit on the standard EGO type batteries but needs the "vanity collar" to stop it looking totally ridiculous, and even then it looks rather oversized!

Wadingthroughsoup · 01/04/2015 22:02

I'm tempted to try that one Botox (despite its revolting name!)

Today, I ordered Venus, Andromeda, Yolo (another terrible name) and Red Astaire. Most of which I've seen mentioned on here. Up til now, I've mostly been buying very cheap liquids, which I don't think have been excellent quality, so I'm interested to see what difference it makes to spend a bit more. Am hoping they'll arrive tomorrow, they've already been despatched apparently.

BotoxBitch · 01/04/2015 22:11

Just looking in alchemists cupboard site, a any recommendations from there? X

crispandfruity · 01/04/2015 22:19

The istick and mothers milk - OH MY GOD.
The variable wattage - OH MY GOD
I have had a headrush, a throat hit and thanks to google a crash course in physics! !

Wadingthroughsoup · 01/04/2015 22:27

Ah, thank you Allergic. I realised my Nautilus mini can fit onto my EVOD battery (and yes, it looks ridiculous!) but I hadn't realised what the adaptor with the iStick was for.

sj73 · 01/04/2015 22:33

Thanks wading. Still confused. Will my big, huge nautilus thingy fit onto an i stick? I'm being so dense. I don't really know what to do with the oversized fucker. Not worth sending it back after I've paid for postage.

crispandfruity · 01/04/2015 22:40

If it's all 510 thread stuff then it will all fit together.

I might be talking nonsense though because I'm high on my eleaf. Dear God it's good.

crispandfruity · 01/04/2015 22:43

Ive just done a 1100 evod/ego vape as a comparison. How did I live like that?! And to think I started with a 650 originally!!

New starters - get an eleaf istick. You will not regret it.

My new liquids arrived today. I'm on the Red Astaire (thanks to all those who recommended it here) and it is DEEEEELISH. And so pretty too! Also keen to try the other three I ordered, but I'm trying to pace myself Grin

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 02/04/2015 20:04

Thanks Polter, that's really generous! Flowers

Hi all i think my beloved vapouriz starter kits` battery is dying. I have had it for 5 months and used it virtually everyday. They charge but then dont hold it very well. They seem to charge up quickly but then drain quickly. Do i need new batteries??

tia

Allergictoironing · 05/04/2015 13:03

Hi Blessed. Yes, that's a reasonable life for a standard battery like the Vapouriz ones so you do need new batteries. It may be a good time to look at upgrading your kit slightly, e.g. variable voltage batteries?

blessedenough · 05/04/2015 15:41

Hi Allergic, i also have an icloud eleaf, which i get on great with but i find it makes some of my liquids taste burnt no matter how turned down i have it. I never alter the voltage as it always tastes burnt if i do, what am i doing wrong??

I love my vapouriz kit as its easy to carry about and works with all my liquids.

I have just bought a new starter kit and will prob buy another battery as i like having 3 batteries on the go - just incase! I get panicky at the thought of no battery power just like i used to about running out of ciggies!!

5 months of near continuous use isnt too bad. Will stock up, thanks

Blessed you could look at something like an EVOD twist or Spinner.

In fact Vapouriz do a version of each if you want to stay with the brand, but because of the branding they cost a bit more than some places. Both come in 1300mAh sizes from Vapouriz, with the EVOD available smaller as well.

You could also have a look at Myepack as they have a good range of batteries at a fair price including Spinners (different sizes), EVOD twist, Kanger EMOW and IPOW and the rather lovely Aspire CF

blessedenough · 05/04/2015 23:03

Thanks Polter will have a play and see if i can adjust it. I find that with certain liquids it sets the volts higher and i cant set it lower. I usually have it on the lowest setting -3.0v.

I have some new liquid kiki from the states, lovely flavour but doesnt seem to like the istick as it tastes burnt but is ok in my trusty old vapouriz set up. Perhaps its the liquid? I do find in both of them as i get near the end it tastes more burnt but a full tank doesnt - i have been using a ce4 clearo as i like the plastic mouth piece. I do have a mini pro tank but cant get on with the metal tip.

I have just bought more vapouriz liquid and another starter kit so i might go back to that or even mix it with my kiki liquids to see if that helps.

Thanks allergic, might have a little look as i have been very restrained with the shinyitisis of late!

I've got a 1.5 dual coil in my istick. I can tell the coil is starting to fail a bit now so I've turned up my istick to 10W.

I find adjusting the wattage is the easiest in terms of best flavour etc. Also some liquids benefit from a high W some from a low.
