As the old one is nearly full!

All & any vaping chat welcome.

No question is too daft to ask. We've all been there at the start of vaping in the minefield that it is.

Only rule is: No Willy Waving!!

Hi everyone!Smile I've just found this thread and love it. I'm happily vaping now since October 2013. I'm not even interested in giving it up as I love itGrin. It's great to see so many likeminded people here. I've had one real cig at a wedding last June, and it made me so ill- best thing I've done as i now know I will never have another real one. But I will vape, and will not be told otherwise lol!

magimedi · 30/03/2015 10:29

Wading If you get an Istick & mini nautilus I can promise you that you won't want to use anything else.

Lovely to see lots of new faces here.

Just to bump up the fact that we are having a Vapers' meet in Brighton in June - everyone is welcome!

Hi wadingthroughthesoup!
We've all asked these questions (&more!)
I still have things I'm not sure about but have always got a reply on here to any questions Smile

I wish Brighton wasn't so far away , I bet you will all have a great time !

Anyone find a cheap supplier of BVC for the nautilus or even a good nautilus offer in the uk ?
I've one in my basket on fasttech at the mo but would rather a shorter wait !

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 30/03/2015 15:07

Tipsykisses, I'm looking at rebuildable tanks at the moment too. I've been rebuilding GS-H2s for the last year or so and feel ready for a bit of new shiney Smile

I narrowed it down to the eleaf lemo / lemo drop or the kanger subtank mini and, having spent a bit of time watching review videos this morning, I think I'm going to go for the subtank mini -

  • airflow control on the outside
  • easier to fill
  • comes with both replaceable coil heads and a RBA deck so best of both worlds

If you think you might struggle making coils have you thought about a ? They've got them here on ebay for £10.

Ah, thanks for the tip Polter. Some people are saying you can make it a lot less airy by switching to the big slot hole and twisting it until it's almost shut - does that sound possible?

I've been looking at the Kayfun Lite too, and the Russian, but I really like the idea of a rebuildable that I can also have emergency premade coil heads for. I'd hate to end up stuck in the pub trying to faff around with bits of wick and wire.

Yeah the coils are lower resistance than I'm used to so I'm looking at new batteries too. I'll be on here in a few weeks smugly bragging about dropping nic levels while ignoring the fact I'm going through 4X as much juice Grin

Please do report back on your airflow fiddling. I'm itching to buy the thing but I'm worried now it'll be too airy.

Wadingthroughsoup · 30/03/2015 19:38

Thank you Tipsy. You lot are so friendly and helpful; I really appreciate it. Especially as it means I don't have to venture onto any of the scary willy-waving ecig forums to ask stupid questions Grin

LD- hello! Sounds like you've done brilliantly on the ecigs, well done. I'm only 2 weeks in but I can't imagine smoking a cigarette ever again. I could be in vaping for the long haul though!

Magimedi- you are absolutely right. I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful blue eleaf and a mini nautilus tank. It is a bloody great combo. I couldn't have imagined it would be so markedly different from the EVOD and Gladius tank I was using, but it is superb.

I phoned my local Vapour Room this morning to ask them to reserve me an eleaf because I know they're selling really quick (one local shop had sold out, and my other local place showed me a product which claimed to be the eleaf but which I suspect was a fake!) So they put one aside for me but when I got there it was bright pink (although said 'red' on the box) I really don't do pink, so ended up forking out quite a lot more for the 30W eleaf in blue. Felt a bit guilty about how much it cost but I came into some money last year and just thought- what the hell, it beats spending it on fags :)

Am now happily vaping chocolate peanut butter and enjoying it so much I keep forgetting I really ought to go and put the DCs to bed.

Hope you've all had a good day.

Ha ok! Higher voltage = stronger vape! X

magimedi · 30/03/2015 22:44

Wading - knew you'd be happy - but PNB + choc sounds vile to me. But looking forward to having a puff at the meet! I will bring some disposable mouthpieces with me so we can all try each others juices (as it were Grin )

I've been looking at the Subtank polter , it looks good but then they all do !!
Think ill keep watching the reviews before making a decision although I may get the mini nautilus as a lot of folk say it's stronger flavour than the big one I have .

My bottle of SnowQueen has just arrived - let's see if it's as good as they say Wink x

Tipsykisses · 31/03/2015 12:50

Thank for the links plenty Smile
I've not looked at the Lemo so will have a google x

Wadingthroughsoup · 31/03/2015 15:22

That made me laugh magi :) Will be nice to taste some different flavours at the meet!

I do have a very sweet tooth, hence the choc PB. A lot of my liquids are puddingy flavours. Although I also like very strong flavours like double menthol, liquorice, aniseed, pear drops...

crispandfruity · 01/04/2015 11:45

There is an eleaf istick in the house AND some mothers milk. I'm excited!

Was in Maidstone today & as I was just passing a decent looking B&M Vape shop (TJ's E Cigarettes) I thought I'd drop in - I was VERY glad I did.

First thing that hit me was the clouds of vapour that billowed out of the door as I opened it! The guys in there were really friendly & helpful; despite using some serious mods etc themselves there was no willy waving, and were happy to take me seriously despite only having an EVOD twist and a (clone) Spinner 2 on me. Chatted to them for ages about all kind of things including their existing shops & whether they were considering my home town (they are Grin.

I've been wanting to get a new tank to go on my iStick and they immediately recommended the Nautilus mini which I know is the preferred combo here, so I let them sell me one Wink. Tried as many juices as I felt like (bought the Zeus Juice Lemon Meringue), but didn't go upstairs to the Vape lounge which I gather is equipped with coffee machines etc & gets busy later in the week.

All in all a very good experience; when my mates open up their shop nearby they are going to find it hard competing!

Wadingthroughsoup · 01/04/2015 17:58

Wow, that sounds brilliant Allergic.

Happily vaping on the new juice with the new tank Grin, and playing with the variable air intakes/voltage/wattage. It's pretty amazing just how much more vapour & flavour I'm getting, everything turned up a lot more than I could before due to burnt taste with the boring tanks. Think I'm going to have to get myself a non-metal drip tip though, that's the one thing I'm not too keen on.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 01/04/2015 19:48

Heh, everyone's got shineyitis Grin

I just ordered an istick each for me and DH but still haven't decided on a new tank. Polter, did you have another go with the airholes on your subtank?
