Thank you SO much for this thread, I’ve been feeling pretty low today and needed this. Hilarious.

RedMarauder · 28/01/2021 13:43

@harriethoyle didn't you get the memo? First wives are always the innocent party in relationship breakdowns....

LouJ85 · 28/01/2021 14:07
@harriethoyle didn't you get the memo? First wives are always the innocent party in relationship breakdowns....
Even ones who had an affair and committed fraud? Noted. 😂

harriethoyle · 28/01/2021 14:20

@RedMarauder @louj85 so sorry, silly me! Obviously second wives always culpable even though they did not meet DH til 2 years post separation Grin

RedMarauder · 28/01/2021 14:41

@LouJ85 especially those who cheat, commit fraud, harass their ex's current partner, etc

After all it's "in sickness and in health"...

Hmm. There's sickness and there's "dickhead-ness". That's not in the vows. 😂

Pleaseaddcaffine · 28/01/2021 17:06

We need a card about you partner loses his job, it does impact the nrp children a all only the dsc. Oh and as stepmum you should cover any matienece payments clearly.
The mind boggles at some peoples entitlement!

Hillary111 · 28/01/2021 17:10

Here's a quote for you;
'Why is it up to his mother to pay you back? He was in the house belonging to his father and was his father's responsibility so his father should be the one paying you back if anybody does.
YABU and I suspect you are using this to cause trouble as you don't like your DSS.'
Following a post where DSS had stolen money from the SM and the mother would not return it.

MN makes me laugh sometimes, some people!

Pleaseaddcaffine · 28/01/2021 17:19

Honestly I see red sometimes on here, people are insane.

Hillary111 · 28/01/2021 17:21

Skewed logic all over the place!

MyCatHatesEverybody · 28/01/2021 17:43

I've been genuinely open-mouthed at some of the nonsense and projection that's been posted on the boards today. Do people actually believe in what they're posting or are they on the wind-up? or just plain old stupid

Hillary111 · 28/01/2021 17:59

so maybe the gift card could read;

'My son stole from his stepmother, but it's still her fault'

I actually laugh out loud at some of the responses, quite entertaining.

TheBadElfParade · 28/01/2021 18:13

Bloody bonkers. I swear down I’ve had enough of mumsnet for the time being, but at least it’s given me a great howling fit of laughter if anything

Youseethethingis · 28/01/2021 20:01

I’ve just found the £20 thread, it’s like wicked stepmother bingo on there.
“You sound judgemental/bitter/jealous”
Eh no, she just wants the theiving swine of a mother to return her money!
It worries me so many kids are being brought up by people who think stealing is ok Confused
But yes, great material for the cards Grin

sassbott · 28/01/2021 20:22

It has to be AIBU based on some of this commentary!

Shaniac · 28/01/2021 20:45

I just commented on the £20 thread. Step mom bashing at its finest. So many knobheads sticking up for the thief ex. You couldn't make it up.

Shaniac · 28/01/2021 20:51

Theres a mn page on reddit and someone was commenting on a thread where a dad said hes a good guy he still pays half the mortgage and bills on his ex wifes house... Someone on reddit said that doesn't make him a good guy and thats the very basics he should do to keep a roof over his childrens heads...

Like fuck off no. He doesn't have to pay half her fucking mortgage if she cant afford her own home she should move. His obligation is to his children not to his fucking ex.

SpongebobNoPants · 28/01/2021 22:09

Can someone please share the link to the thieving stepson thread Grin

SpongebobNoPants · 28/01/2021 22:29

@Hillary111 WTAF did I just read 😂
Some of those responses are insane!

Youseethethingis · 28/01/2021 22:43

They walk among us Confused

MzHz · 28/01/2021 23:18

Horrifying! Shock

TaighNamGastaOrt · 29/01/2021 02:18

ah, I have found my people! I'm loving these cards! Has anyone done a 'were you the OW?' No, I bloody wasn't!
I've had a lot of abuse on the here because I dared to vent about DSD's mum telling lies that I broke up her happy family (she shagged someone else years before I met DH). the fact I ended up with PND I was told was because I hated DSD.
Hallmark just doesn't cater for this

Sillyduckseverywhere · 29/01/2021 14:33

@Shaniac

I just read the whole stepson thread. Seriously? Fuck me, the woman is crazy.
RedMarauder · 29/01/2021 16:02

Stolen from another poster who also posts on here -
"Once you’ve pushed a baby out (first family, not an unfortunate second family baby like my own) you can make whatever tenuous link you like as long as the net result is living off another’s earnings.

It’s like the first family version of the royal family."
