BTW, Guess what?!!!!!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 14:41

Firstly, yes I'm going to keep nagging you Grin So I take it you haven't been then?????

Secondly, I totally agree it's up to her mum to get in touch - I really am shocked that she hasn't. DP said if it was the other way round, no way could he not contact her at all

Thirdly - what???

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 14:49

Lol, firstly, no I haven't been yet.

Secondly, I wouldn't have been able to wait this long, I would have had to get in touch somehow.

Thirdly...............

Lea is nearly walking now, all of that worry about her hips and now she is nearly walking!!!! She is at that stage where she takes two steps then falls on her bottom, it is so lovely to see her, especially as we were told there were doubts if she would be able to walk at all!!!! Grin

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 14:53

awwwww that's wonderful Grin

You must all be so relieved Smile I can remember that stage with my nieces and nephews, I used to think it was really funny when they tried to walk then ended up falling on their bum! I always thought it's a good job they had nappies on otherwise it could hurt

So why haven't you been to the doctor

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 15:01

Oooooh, I've just had a msg left on the phone about a job, I only sent a spec letter to the firm a couple of days ago, they want me to phone back, I'll have to do it tomorrow because the grandkids will be here in a min... I'm all nervous now!!!

You know the funny thing, the firm is a driving test centre!!!!!! I wonder if they will make allowances on my test if I work there?

And yes, this was a very swift change of subject and a good way to avoid your 'headmistress glare' Wink

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 15:06

Don't know about making allowances but I bet you wouldn't have to pay for it Grin

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 15:11

I haven't had the time.....

Thought it would get better.....

Lost my voice so couldn't explain the symptoms........

I forgot where the doctors surgery is.........

I forgot I was ill.........

The doctor emigrated to china.......

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 15:15

Detention for Squirrel....Bet your DP has been on to you too????

tarantula where are you?? I need you to help me persuade squirrel she should go and see her doctor

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 15:19

Correction Naam, I need you to help me persuade Tarantula to hurry up and get a new spider, don't like to think of her tarantuless.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 15:21

Yes I agree with you on that one, tarantuless sounds really Sad

Wonder where on earth you buy these things from?? Can't imagine an ordinary pet shop selling them. Perhaps we'll find out soon....

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 15:27

When I bought my snakes I had to go to a specialised pet shop that sold reptiles, they do sell them there, wouldn't it be funny if she came back with a rattle snake? Can you imagine the name change! Grin

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 15:56

Ooohhh yes Grin

Or a chameleon

Or a tortoise

Or
Or
Or
....

A crocodile Grin

I'm getting carried away now, I'm sure she'll just get another tarantula Grin

LooptheLoop · 27/04/2006 16:04

NAAM - laughing at the idea of you parading around the caravan park in a sarong when everyone else is in jeans and jumpers! Maybe there will be a heatwave [hopeful emoticon....]

Squirrel - if you have the summer off, you could spend part of it watching the world cup with NAAM! Hummm we've had the Nutty Stepmums virtual night out - how about the Nutty Stepmums week off?

Good news re Lea. Love the idea of the driving test centre job!

But adding to the serious headmistress stare - when are you going to the doctor's Squirrel?

NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 16:08

You tell her Loopy!!

Last year we actually did have quite good weather so who knows? Don't think Squirrel will relish the thought of watching football with us though somehow....

We're going there again at the end of July, taking dsd and her friend. We love it there Grin

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 16:25

Hello loopy, how are you? It is great news about Lea but I certainly know when I have got her now she is mobile, I can't put her down and still expect her to be there when I get back now!!!!!!! Wink I'm running about all over the place trying to keep up with her.... I'm to old for this!!!! Wink

I will go to the drs when I have the time but with work and dd plus the stepkids I don't have time... btw dd had another mri scan the other day, I hope it tells them enough so that they can do something to help her. The radiographer told her that there was enough information to send to the ortopeadic surgeon but wouldn't tell her what she had found so dd has to wait to see him.

Lea keeps on giving me great big sloppy kisses as I am writing this, I'm covered in dribble!

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 16:32

Aw bless her - give her a kiss from me Smile

So when does your dd get her appointment, does she know yet? She must be itching to find out what they know about her! I didn't think they were allowed to withhold personal information in this day and age

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 16:36

The radiographer told her she was not allowed to tell her what she had found, she is now waiting to hear when her appointment be, and yes you are right we are all itching to find out.

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 16:42

That must be awful! Really hope you don't have to wait too long for an appointment

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 16:50

I hope not too! With dd being depressed she keeps on thinking the worst and I have to try to put a positive spin on things and cheer her up, its hard work to be honest, when you are suffering from depression you automatically think the worst and it doesn't really matter what other people say to you, it doesn't change the way you feel, so I feel like I'm banging my head against that brick wall again!

But here's hoping that is is good news. Smile

OP posts:
NotActuallyAMum · 27/04/2006 16:55

Yes I hope so too Smile

Do let us know when her appointment is when you find out

Squirrel3 · 27/04/2006 16:58

Will do, I guess you are off home now, been nice catching up, talk to you soon hopefully. Byeeeeeee!

OP posts:
LooptheLoop · 28/04/2006 15:30

Have a great weekend everyone. The sun is shining and it's a bank holiday weekend - yipeee. Hope the decorating goes OK NAAM Smile.

NotActuallyAMum · 28/04/2006 15:45

Thanks Loopy Smile I hope so too, think I'd rather come to work!!!

Have a good weekend everyone Grin

alligator · 28/04/2006 15:56
