Hello all. I'm on my 2nd glass of wine.

Nice to meeting you WMNHS. I don't often get on this thread, mainly because I daren't look as I'd never get off. I'm on here too much as it is!! I've got a 10 year old dsd. I work in the NHS too as an adminstrator.

NotActuallyAMum · 03/03/2006 21:13

Just had a text off my sister

Man cooks Deer for dinner but doesn't tell the kids what it is. "Give us a clue" says his daughter. Dad replies "It's what Mum calls Dad sometimes". Little girl cries "Don't eat it! It's a fcking arehole!!"

Grin
Squirrel3 · 03/03/2006 21:14

The shamrock was in honour of Paddy's day tarantula. Grin

I'm not strictly English I'm Welsh. Grin

You should come on here more often SM We ahve a good laugh. Hows dsd unwelcome head visitors. I remember my first chat with you was about them and I said that dss was now 14 so didnt really get them any more......Spoke too soon on that one I can tell you. guess who came to visit with dss a few weeks back

NotActuallyAMum · 03/03/2006 21:18

Surfermum - workingmum is working on an old peoples ward atm but it's only temporarily - she's usually a fanny inspector Grin

tarantula · 03/03/2006 21:21

Are you really Squirrel? Where from? \link{V\Happy st Davids day} for the other day then.

Squirrel3 · 03/03/2006 21:24

From a small village, Maesteg in Glamorgan South Wales.

Surfermum · 03/03/2006 21:24

I could never be a nurse. A pile of typing beats smeggy willies any day!

Thank you for remembering about dsd's "visitors". Last time was pretty bad again. She got in the shower to have them done with no arguing too, so obviously wanted me to comb her out. Bless her, I'm sure she covers up for her mum. I told her she needed to make sure she did them every 3 days as they were so bad and she told me that when she's at home they always do them every 3 days. It's obvious from the state of her hair that this isn't the case Sad. Can't say anything though. I just thank the Lord for the nitty gritty comb Grin.

NotActuallyAMum · 03/03/2006 21:29

I'm with you Surfermum, I couldn't be a nurse either. I'm a receptionist/typist so do similar job to you. And come on here of course Grin Did you manage to sort anything about your holiday abroad? Last I heard BM wouldn't let dsd go and you had considered trying to get a court order

tarantula · 03/03/2006 21:33

Dss's mum does bugger all about his either. She reckons hes old enough to do them for himself. At 14? with his hair which is longish and thick and wavy?
Ach well thats best kept for anyother time.

So do you speak any Welsh then Squirrel?

workingmumnhs · 03/03/2006 21:34

I don't do smelly willies. I work in gynae normally, I am only on wrinkly willy ward becasue my name got oulled out of the hat. It neverdoes for good things but bad things and yup it's alway my name.
Anytime I have to wash a wrinkly smelly willy I delegate the job to a healthcare assistant. Oh the joysof being a trained nurse
