Squirrel - as he has a new 4 x 4 did it come with GPS - if not get one of those - my DH adores his ... and to be fair it is a gadget and I don't know any man who isn't cock - a - hoop over a gadget !!

Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 16:07

Hello Siobhan, Tell them that as they almost live there and DH is ill you have written up a housework rota and they are all included!!!!

Seriously, I'll have to think for a while on that one, my home became a bit of a youthclub when dd was a teenager but she was disabled and it was the only way she got to see her able bodied friends so I encouraged it so I don't really know how you would do the opposite.

Siobhan, he has already got one and a 'Road Angel' that warns him of speed cameras etc.

If he hadn't already got them it would have been a great idea.

Thanks Squirrel - as I say normally not too much of a problem and they're quite good at observing the "house" rules - but I think it's mainly because I'm a bit knackered at the mo' ... and I have eaten DSS's cooking before .... Mmmm !!!!

SiobhanW · 23/02/2006 16:14

Not mmmmm as in nice more mmmmm as in ghastly !!

Ok so GPS is out - how about an Ipod ? shotgun? oar for his boat ?!!!! I bought DH a cooking lesson in Devon ( double benefit you see !!)

Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 16:15

Your dss has cooked for you!!!!!!

How did you get him to do that?

OP posts:
SiobhanW · 23/02/2006 16:17

Yeah - how scary was that?!!!
And the kitchen was like something out of a St Trinians cooking lesson - even the dog had problems eating the left - overs !!

NotActuallyAMum · 23/02/2006 16:18

Hello Siobhan

lol at St Trinians cooking lesson

SiobhanW · 23/02/2006 16:19

Strangely I didn't even ask - he was trying to impress his girlfriend, so said he would cook the Friday evening "sacrosanct" meal - the one evening of the week when we all try to sit down and chat, drink some wine, in this instance puke !!!

Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 16:19

PMSL, yep! you are def Nutty, you are going to fit in very well in The Nuty Stepmums Club!

SiobhanW · 23/02/2006 16:22

Yeah - being nutty is the only thing that keeps me sane !! Must away as garage next door has phoned to say that my car is ready and then asked the stupid question " when did you last change your air filter " Duhhhh like I know ?!!

NotActuallyAMum · 23/02/2006 16:23

My answer would have been "what's an air filter?"

Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 16:24

My ds cooks for his girlfriend, he won't cook for us because he and his girlfriend are veggie's. I think if I told him to touch a chicken or a bit of steak he would puke!!!!!!

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 16:25

Talk to you later.

OP posts:
Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 16:25

Pssssst... what is an air filter?

OP posts:
SiobhanW · 23/02/2006 16:26

Actually you're right what is an air filter?!!
Speak soon - back home now ...... may the chaos reign !!

NotActuallyAMum · 23/02/2006 16:29

I think it's a fairly small paper-like, folded-up, funny-looking thingy that takes any air out of the fuel before it goes into your engine

Or does it clean the air?

Or does it put air into the system for some reason?

I haven't got a clue really, I'm just talking rubbish

tarantula · 23/02/2006 16:34

No idea here either. Mind you I dont do cars at he best of times anyway. Which one is the clutch again?

As for the household chores I suggest you do the cookign they do the washing up. I'd also put cleaning the loo on the list

tarantula · 23/02/2006 16:37

NotActuallyAMum · 23/02/2006 16:38

Squirrel3 · 23/02/2006 16:42
