Well Wissa was very quick to praise your new manager. He didn't have to as he wasn't asked about him directly and most players wouldn't have done it if they felt loyal to the previous manager.

😂 ahhh, of course, man says he likes new boss, ergo, old boss was, what was it? Totally unpleasant. You’re right, silly of me really not to have picked up on that.

I guarantee Jaissler will be ruffling way more feathers in the premier league than Eddie Howe has ever done. And much as I love and miss Eddie, I’m here for it. Jaissler has some serious big dick energy and exudes ++aura.

I have to agree that Eddie was one of the nicest men in football - probably too nice, if I'm honest. However I was very encouraged by last night's win at Spurs. I'm happy to go to the stadium, but I can't stand the tension of watching on the box, or even listening on the radio, so I'm afraid I chicken out and watch later, only finding out the result when matches are over. Wrt Wissa's comments, I didn't see anything wrong with them in view of the fact that he'd had such a dreadful season with us last year.

My next door neighbour who is also an Arsenal fan does exactly what you do. He never watches the match until he knows the result.

The new manager will probably achieve the most important thing for all Newcastle fans, finishing above Sunderland.

Absolutely @BigDanBurnHesFromBlyth. Wissa is finding form and wants a starting place. They all do. With Osula coming back and Woltemade in the mix of course he’s going to praise the Manager who can help him to get his career back on track. He was injured or just not great last season so no surprise Eddie made the choices he did. Not that it worked often though.

Eddie was a fantastic leader, but not a huge media personality. I think he’d be ok with that though. Jaissle is way more lively and I’m also loving it.

@LlynTegid You’re right! But we also need 6 points given they took them last season! With being in Europe and not a lot of strengthening of their squad I think they could find the extra games and scheduling tricky.

The Everton fans were in full fume yesterday at the news of a potential sale of Harrison Armstrong, looks like the owners took note.

But Gladbach. I expected the loss but even so i hate losing to Leipzig, and of course our "came up from the U7 team through our training academy" who we sold to Leipzig scored against us. I have not checked online but i can imagine what some of the comments are.

Yes, I am so relieved that we won the PL last season because the money spent on transfers this window seems is off the scale.

I think that this season is going to be the most competitive ever.

I'm glad Everton is managing to hang on to Harrison Armstrong: I hate it when NUFC have to get rid of home grown talent because of money issues (thinking particularly about Elliot Anderson).

He used to play for Spurs, of course, so their current situation drives him mad, not helped by Jason Cundy winding him up. He was so optimistic for the new season.

I see Sky is saying that Richarlison is probably going back to Everton. What do you think? And someone else, whose name escapes me, going the other way.

I genuinely couldn’t care less about Sunderland. They’re so irrelevant to me, I want to finish as high up the table as possible irrespective of where they are. Sunderland have only been in the same league as us for one season in quite a considerable amount of time. I hate derby days, would happily see them relegated or liquidated and us never have to play them ever again.

I don't like him leaving but have been expecting it. He was rumoured to leave for Saudi but wanted to stay in the PL. I am surprised he wants to go to Spurs.

Richy back, happy with that but the price seems high.

Ndiye going to spurs is nuts, he’s so good and should be able to have his pick of clubs. This window is really highlighting for which footballers the most important thing is the money.

No complaints from us though...

I feel a bit sad about Richarlason. He is no way good enough and completely inconsistent, but last season when half the team looked like they couldn't be arsed, it sometimes felt like it was only him and Archie Grey even trying to do anything.

But I cannot deny that it would be a great upgrade for us if it works out.

are Villa on the lookout for a new goalie? i know they did have an eye out for our man at Gladbach, but that had gone quiet.

Currently watching Leeds v Brentford as son says I need to follow a Northern team, Liverpool is my main one but so sick of it being in TNT as don't have that.

Alvarez-other than wanting another team-has a big sticking point in that he travels/moves not just with wife and children but with a larger extended family which he would be unable to do in UK.

I would much rather have players who are dying to be at Arsenal.

Although a bit of a double edged sword as it seems no one wants to leave...
