Bit late, but why didn't Liverpool try and score instead of kicking it across goal where they lost it and then conceded? I see it a lot and it's like players are scared to the and score.

I think it was a pen, a soft pen but it was never going to get overturned once given. I really felt for Lewis Hall, he’d been absolutely imperious all game. Plenty to be positive about though. I feared a drubbing.

I watched the game last week and couldn't believe how well they played.

I almost didn't watch it this week because I thought that it was over.

I turned it on when I saw this, hoping for some excitement.

I'm sorry, but when you need a goal with 1 minute left and your goalkeeper runs to get the ball, if you still have 5 players slowly ambling about in your own penalty area you are not a serious club.

When you consider how many key goals he's got in the Champion's League, I think it could turn out to be a stupid decision financially as well.

Each of their goals last week were worldies and I actually said to my husband that I hope that we don't have to play them in the CL.

I only watched the second half today and they were totally outplayed.

We (Liverpool) have Alexis MacAllister and I am very glad indeed that he wasn't one of the players brandishing the Falklands banner or involved in the brouhaha at the end of the World Cup final. I've heard some fans saying he should have more actively disassociated himself with those actions or tried to stop his teammates, but I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect that of any of the players who were in MacAllister's position. At the same time, I can understand if he is booed by opposing fans because he was a member of that Argentinian team. But I don't have any problem with MacAllister being at Liverpool.

I might feel quite different if the Argentinian player at my club was, for example, Enzo Fernandez, Nahuel Molina or Leandro Paredes, though, as they were at the heart of the disgraceful conduct. Ditto if MacAllister was one of the players who held the Falklands banner at the end of the England match - I don't think he was, but happy to be corrected if I'm wrong about that.

Comfortable win and a hattrick for Barry

Really pleased Savio did so well on his debut. So much noise about him that there was a big danger of an anti-climax for fans, and a backlash for him. He was superb though.

I’d probably rather get rid of Madueke or Eze over Martinelli. I don’t rate either of them. I’m not sure what Arteta is thinking as we’ve already let Trossard go

I’m sure he has a plan though. He made the right decision with Ramsdale. I just hope we see more of Nwaneri this season, he’s a hell of a talent. I would hate for him to leave. Also, Max Dowman. Nobody has offered as much promise since Jack Wilshere

I agree about Madueke. He's been an OK back up for when Saka was injured so much, but I think we might do better with Nwaneri and Dowman now. If we lose Nelli we have no back up on that side. Eze has been dreadful every time he's been played out left. I'm not convinced by him in the middle either, but I'm willing to give him another season, although I'm not sure how much time he'll have with Bruno joining us.

The third goal was a brilliant team goal.

haven't really been paying much attention to English football. But. I did catch some of the Newcastle match last evening. I really like those Newcastle shirts.
