If they beat Hull and go up a point deduction won't work as it's then up to the Prem League not EFL so they don't have to deduct them if they don't wish. The monetary value of them going up is worth more than any fine. Again it's the fans getting punished, a lot of Hull Fans who knew they would get tickets booked their hotels, trains etc on Tuesday and now the EFL have put out a warning against booking travel as it might not go ahead. And if it is rearranged where will it be played, Wembley is fully booked every weekend after up to the end of the season. So potentially the fans and players will be robbed of the Wembley experience.

I really hope it is sorted soon. I noticed last night on Twitter that Southampton had actually released information on applying for tickets and it looks like they'll be able to do so from today.

What a bloody shit-show :(

DuncinToffee · 15/05/2026 08:51

Football is all about the fans Hmm

The whole situation should have been addressed before the semi final match.

Thank you for the message. I couldn't make it last night (bought theatre tickets before I thought that playoffs would be a consideration) but it looks like we were beaten by the better team. At least I get a lie in next Sunday.

Seamus Coleman, one of my favourite players

I sent this to DH the other day and he said he woke in the night thinking of it nd worrying.

And I saw the Aaron Ramsey interview clip-absolutely heartbreaking, especially as his contract had been agreed and he wanted to stay.
Also the loyalty despite that to not want to play for another PL club.
he def fits the phrase #onceagooner

Glad he's back but it dies stoke the fire doesn't it?

Emery def hates us and the feeling is mutual.

last day of the Bundesliga today which makes it my favourite (match)day of the year no matter what happens. Because all bundesliga matches (and tomorrow all 2 Bundesliga matches) are played at the same time.

It is really like an old-school football weekend. Kick-offs all over the country at 3:30.

DuncinToffee · 16/05/2026 09:36

Enjoy Brefugee

I still shudder when I think of the last day of the 22/23 season.

oh gosh yes, "enjoy" isn't a word i will probably apply to this match today. Not least because German clubs have a habit of properly saying goodbye to players we know are leaving (they get a bouquet and a big picture frame with various photos of their time at the club. This is usually a great occasion with cheers etc (they were singing Lars Stindl's name for the last 15 minutes of his last match, it was amazing) but this time a player who has been at the club since he was 7 is going to RB Leipzig so it is going to be a shit-show.

We went to the Women's cup final (bayern beat Wolfsburg 4-0) and that was amazing and good fun so I'll hang on to that feeling.

DuncinToffee · 16/05/2026 11:43

I know what you mean, our last home match tomorrow, there will be tears. 🎶60 grand🎵

It's the WSL final match day and ofcourse the Scottish Premiership title showdown.

FA Cup, a Man City win leaves us with a chance of Europe, otherwise I am not too bothered.

I'm watching Celtic v Hearts with great enjoyment and trepidation - it would be so amazing for Hearts to win the title. Come on, you Jam Tarts!

burblish · 16/05/2026 14:42

Poor Hearts - so devastating for them. Congratulations, Celtic and Martin O'Neill.

Tarkan · 16/05/2026 14:45

Even my Hibs supporting DH was wanting Hearts to do it rather than Celtic. It was a hard choice for him still. Those last few minutes were crazy though.

Itstheyearitstarts · 16/05/2026 16:19

I’m glad Celtic won, Hearts fans are up in arms about a conspiracy but I am not sure you could argue with the penalty today.

Brefugee · 16/05/2026 19:05

i saw that Hearts had only been allocated 800 away tickets - wtf?

Well Gladbach were on fire, 4-0 to us and so Hoffenheim (didn't manage to sell out their away allocation - pathetic) didn't get their champions league place. Just as well they are a plastic club with not enough fans. They don't deserve champions league.

In the bundesliga, the clubs all offer 5-10% of the stadium capacity to the away team. Away fans are a big part of football culture here.

Tarkan · 16/05/2026 19:12

Trouble in parts of Glasgow now. Apparently police went to help with a medical emergency and had all sorts of stuff thrown at them. DH is on two Dundee to Glasgow shifts at work tonight so I hope there won’t be any issues around the bus station when he’s down there. He hates these shifts at the best of times.

DuncinToffee · 16/05/2026 19:15

I read the Hearts team went straight to the coach, still in kit, and left as soon as they could.

Probably for safety reasons
Celtic like to give it they've the greatest fans in the world
They really aren't.
They're detested by the other clubs fans.
