@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain, yes we need to save our energy for the Conference League Final!

Not until 27th May! Our only chance for silverware though.

I honestly think West Ham are more likely to get something from their final two games - and I say that as a Newcastle fan who they are playing on Sunday…

I can’t see spurs getting anything at Chelsea or at home to Everton.

As a palace fan I hate hammers (there are historical reasons) so if they’re relegated I won’t be sad. Sorry not sorry.

Piknik · 11/05/2026 22:31

As a Spurs supporter, I have to agree that West Ham have two better games ahead of them. Chelsea is our bogey team and our form at home has been shocking (Everton).

We really needed to win tonight. And I was so sure that was a pen at the end that I am still slightly reeling from the fact it wasn't.

Oh Christ. I feel the same @Piknik.

westcott · 12/05/2026 07:04

West Ham look wobbly though. I still have hope.

Maddison being fit could be the extra we need. Was amazing to see some creativity and almost a pen!!!

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 12/05/2026 08:06

Well done Hull!

DuncinToffee · 12/05/2026 08:35

Hull beat Millwall to reach the promotion play off final.

Southampton v Middlesborough tonight to see who will face them,

Good luck

MrBref is taking Boro's defeat stoically.

Out of the finalists i don't care for either so hope the highest in the tabe wins

TheNewGaard · 13/05/2026 08:38

It'll be interesting to see how "Spygate" affects this...

Yes, I imagine the FA wanted a different result so that they didn’t have to address it with a potential expulsion.

Just reading Ben White will be out of the World Cup too. Such a shame for him.

TheNewGaard · 13/05/2026 14:00

Big shame, he was just coming back to form.

He's an absolute warrior who has always put his body on the line for the club. Quite literally. He's been brought back from injury too early on more than one occasion when other players have gone down injured, and it's led to further problems for him. And I doubt he'll have any chance of being fit for the World Cup now.

I hope he makes a full recovery for next season.

Brefugee · 13/05/2026 16:12

The whole "spygate" thing needs to be addressed with clear actions/consequences.

Boro were dropping in form and Southampton coming good so it's the right result. But spying like that just isn't cricket

Well on the news just now they said that they could be ejected from the Wembley final.

Kirbert2 · 13/05/2026 18:18

I was routing for Boro mainly because of spygate but also because I was really hoping Castledine would bang in a winner when he came on!

Shame for the Southampton players if the investigation confirms spying but if I were Boro, I'd definitely be holding my breath and thinking it might not actually be over yet.

I cannot see that happening. Possibly denied promotion if they win which would reprieve West Ham or Spurs.

TheNewGaard · 13/05/2026 20:10

Come on Palace!

No, surely not!

Unfortunately I don’t think they’ll do us a favour.

Keepoffmyartichokes · 14/05/2026 07:34

As a Hull fan waiting for tickets the whole Spygate has put a bit of a dampener on it which is a shame. Ticket announcements were meant to be yesterday and we have been told should be today. But we still don't know who we are playing

DuncinToffee · 14/05/2026 08:32

Controversy in the Scottish PL as well with that injury time penalty for Celtic.

Good luck with getting tickets @Keepoffmyartichokes

It’s absolutely burst the play-off final bubble hasn’t it? No only don’t we know who we are playing but we’ve now been told the game might be moved!
The whole spygate thing has been going on longer than just the Boro game. What are the EFL going to do? Does it invalidate other scores as well? Should Wrexham be entitled to a playoff place? Should the semi’s be replayed? It’s an absolute mess! Really should have been addressed before the second leg.

Brefugee · 14/05/2026 19:51

tbh, as i said before i think they should have clear guidelines and penalties around spying.

Absent that, they should have (much as it costs time, money and frustration) posponed the Boro game then either deducted Southampto points, rearranged the table and then done the play-offs. Or start next season with a points deduction.

It is a big hot mess.

Keepoffmyartichokes · 14/05/2026 22:52

It's ridiculous and has taken the shine off it completely for Hull fans. We can book tickets from Sunday but the match might be rearranged so it's still all up in the air. They shouldn't have let Southampton play in the semi finals knowing what they knew about them.

LlynTegid · 15/05/2026 06:58

I'd be having a points deduction next season. I think there should be a point in the season where there is a cut-off for points deductions.

Keepoffmyartichokes · 15/05/2026 07:59

LlynTegid · 15/05/2026 06:58

I'd be having a points deduction next season. I think there should be a point in the season where there is a cut-off for points deductions.

If they beat Hull and go up a point deduction won't work as it's then up to the Prem League not EFL so they don't have to deduct them if they don't wish. The monetary value of them going up is worth more than any fine. Again it's the fans getting punished, a lot of Hull Fans who knew they would get tickets booked their hotels, trains etc on Tuesday and now the EFL have put out a warning against booking travel as it might not go ahead. And if it is rearranged where will it be played, Wembley is fully booked every weekend after up to the end of the season. So potentially the fans and players will be robbed of the Wembley experience.
