Well Orient limped over the line. Burton were better than us but the mighty Dom Ballard added another goal to his tally - he won’t be with us next year. Need a complete clear out before we go again next season. Congratulations to everyone promoted or in play offs. Commiserations to Exeter and others relegated. Lastly thanks to Bradford - made it a bit less tense today. Our manager (Richie Wellens)had a bit of a rant after the game. Apologised to fans for blaming us for the poor performances (who knew it was all our fault for the poor defending and lack of creativity!) and then slagged his players threatening pay cuts for those offered new contracts. Methinks he wants out!

Yes. But I seem to remember that we did that earlier in the season too but then reverted to form so I am not holding my breath.

Good to see MLS playing in midfield at last.

And it's funny how having Saka back makes everyone seem to play better....

Pleased to be of assistance and buzzing to be in the playoffs - thank you for the mention @DuncinToffee
I'm not confident we'll beat Bolton over 2 legs but pleased to be at the party!

Brefugee · 03/05/2026 09:07

congrats and commiserations where earned/needed.

Sorry, still buzzing about the Wednesday news. We have our Logo back!! (with a small addition of SWFC underneath). Finally, the logo i have tattooed about my person is back on point.

DuncinToffee · 03/05/2026 09:23

I am so happy for you and the other Owl fans @Brefugee

They were much more fluid and played with a lot of passion?
Gyokeres played well too which was nice to see given the stick he’s had.
They need to continue to play like that!

Watford have sacked another manager.

Watford will now begin a search for their 15th head coach, not counting interim bosses, since September 2019 when Gracia left for the first time, and their 12th since the end of the 2020-21 season.

@TheSleepingGiant Dear Sam Vokes - I will always have such fondness for him because of his goals for Wales, especially the one against Belgium in the 2016 Euros.

He certainly had an impressive career, 750 appearances and it was lovely to see him get his guard of honour yesterday. Watching him at Gills this season I feel he has chosen the right time to retire, however I wouldn't be surprised or displeased to see him on the bench with Ainsworth next season as his no.2 💙

That will piss my ex boss and his son off. Both Watford fans.

Could be both!

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 03/05/2026 17:02

3-0 Palace to Bournemouth. Bournemouth ffs! Palace really need to get their arse in gear. New managers considered are Frank lampard (cov) and Kieran McKenna (Ipswich). I know Lampard has done well with Cov this season but don’t know about other.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 03/05/2026 17:04

Oh Ipswich set to be promoted too. Decisions decisions.

Hellohah · 03/05/2026 18:56

No other fixture gets me as much as today's.
It was all going swimmingly too at half time.
Thank goodness for Kobbie Mainoo

wow, what a match - just back from Gladbach (the one true Borussia) having beaten Dortmund. Gladback played absolutely brilliant football. Best i've seen in years.

88th minute goal - disallowed for offside but VAR overruled. The Borussia Park was absolutely jumping. So not going to be relegated now.
