Yes, I really hope that Millwall don't get promoted. I think it would ruin the Premier League.

I'm always worried that we might get them in the league cup or the FA cup.

We can hope that they get beaten in the play offs.

Itstheyearitstarts · 22/03/2026 19:40

I really wouldn’t fancy going to the emirates if they do get promoted! I remember playing them back in the late 1980’s and feeling intimidated, even more so than when we play Spurs. Got called a cunt and pushed last season at the emirates by an unhappy spurs fan (large bloke!)

Edited

I remember going to see Brighton v millwall at the withdean stadium in league 1. Thankfully the away end was so far away that we could barely see the opposition fans let alone hear them! But it wasn’t much fun outside after although they were pretty mild as they won.
However I do also remember a visit by them in the first or second season at the Amex in the championship, we were left with rather a large bill for damaged seats and other damage in a stadium that was practically brand new.

Oblomov26 · 22/03/2026 22:25

Watched Man City beat Arsenal in the cup.
What was worse was watching Spurs lose to Forrest. FFS. We never even showed up. Such laziness, no drive. Awful to watch.

Since they are only in the Championship because of a last minute, offside goal I hope karma gets them this time.

(I know it was 9 years ago and I know I should have moved on but... 🤷)

Kirbert2 · 22/03/2026 23:37

I never had any issues with Millwall fans when Huddersfield were in the Championship. Of course, we aren't local rivals. I know things can escalate more when rivalries are involved.

However after this massive break (what’s that all about?!) we will have 2 games minus our manager and our captain as both suspended

Just realised the massive break is only because we are out of the FA cup, I thought it was everyone, makes more sense.

We have the same lengthy break.

We don't play for another 3 weeks.
Another Monday night KO, I thought the police would have said no considering it's Leeds.

Brefugee · 23/03/2026 09:35

There's an international break.

Yes I knew about that but that’s 2 weeks. Teams out the FA cup- like us aren’t playing for 3 weeks

Monday night fixtures should be binned.

So should Saturday 8pm ones. Sunday late ones should only be local derbies.

Ok, hold on to your hats: I'm watching Arteta's interview now on Sky and I'm actually going to give Arteta kudos(!) for the way he stuck up for Kepa. I know he has to because he can't say he made the wrong call in putting Kepa in, but I liked that he was trying to take the heat off the player.

Think most managers do this in Cup games and can see why. You've trusted them to get you this far. Though Kepa used to have moments with us so that hasn't changed much.

Tiswa · 23/03/2026 12:56

Yep Kelleher has played 3 league cup finals and of you have been made to watch the 2024 Carabao Cup final as much as I have with DS he was outstanding - he was vital in the premier league win last season

Man City did exactly the same with james Trafford however much Jamie Redknapp tried to argue he was bought as a first choice

Raya is one of Arsenals greatest assets/strengths but also the biggest weakness it has. At the moment his fitness is superb he gets injury prone and they are screwed IMO

We've got one of them as well against Chelsea the game after, followed by ... Another Monday night.

3 games and 3 x 8pm KOs in April 😡

The steward at the Emirates said that for us the Liverpool fans are by far the worst fans as they cause so much damage every time. I assume he wasn't there for the Millwall fans, if we have ever played them.

I have my FA cup quarter final tickets!

Looking back at the game with a cooler head - Pep got one over on Arteta.

We were the best team for most of the first half, when we were moving the ball quickly and getting people forward. Pep realised that Kepa wasn't anywhere near as good as Raya at playing long balls out and so put a very high line of 4 right up the field to limit his options. His quality of ball was such that it kept coming straight back at us. He also realised that Gyokeres can't hold the ball up for toffee, so made sure he wasn't given the space to be an outlet.

That completely nullified us, and Arteta didn't make changes to prevent it early enough.

Hopefully with Raya and other options (Ødegaard, Eze) to have a bit more push in the midfield, we'll be able to do them in the league.

I was sorry to read Igor Tudor's father has died. He has gone back to Croatia to be with his family (obviously) and it does of course put football into perspective.

I can't help thinking that this might be a dignified way of moving on and parting ways though.

Know they care so little about the fans but the timings are rubbish! Especially when you have teams opposite ends of the Country amd public transport stops early on

8 is too late! Esp on a Saturday never used to be a thing but guess money/telly talks

I know we've had this when we've needed to be in London for the late kick off and then either had to do a sprint to the airport to catch the flight back or have the cost of a night in a hotel which mounts up.

Comefromaway · 24/03/2026 14:47

Closing Euston station over Easter weekend doesn't help either. And no proper coach parking, just road closures.

MrsMitford3 · 24/03/2026 17:56

@DuncinToffee I have just read Everton interested in Ben White.

He was/is an absolute warrior for us and played through injury when we were struggling.

I'd def keep him-but if he goes I think the fans will love him like we do!
