This is going to be an interesting year with the regulation change.

Rumours are Mercedes and RB engines are exploiting a loophole and so may have the most powerful engines.

AM will have a car with significant input from Adrian Newey.

Sauber becomes Audi and we have an 11th team, Cadillac.

Christian Horner seems very keen to get back into F1, preferably Alpine with Flávio - they deserve each other.

There is closed door testing in Barcelona then open testing from 11 February at Sakhir.

As much as I find Flávio 🤮 he does seem to have a track record of being be able to build a team that can improve a car

I thought his behaviour in the press conference yesterday, basically implying the panel considering the appeal were bias to McLaren, was dreadful. Andrea Stella was not happy but remained professional.

Ive been out and DS messaged to say had i seen it. I went on social media and saw as I was about to scroll down maclaren put a post about the top 3. I assumed it would feature Lando but OP there was a good surprise (although hes yet to do the race) but i think im.more excited on Pierre Gasley on pole.

Just been reading Oscar might grt a penalty for impeding Liam Lawson in q2.
....which would be disappointing

Im resigned to p6 or p7 (at best) this season...

I realised most of the hate for F1 drivers in social media is due to ….. media! They incorrectly report things drivers have said with their own misinterpretation and out a headline in the keyboard warriors jump on. I should really block all of those from my Facebook feed but sometimes you do get the odd piece of news.

who do people follow for more “correct” F1 news?

I have the official f1 app, which has fun clips etc. then sky and bbc to check anything I’ve heard elsewhere.

I agree some social media is vile.

I use Sky and BBC to verify. Plus I follow P1 Matt & Tommy and Kym Illman on YouTube - they usually verify with FIA.

Andrew Benson of the BBC is my go to - he knows everything before it happens and reports on things pretty factually.

Yes F1, Sky F1 and the BBC. I tend to avoid all the random Internet sites.

Its crazy how batshit some "fans" are , last year Kimi Antonelli got death threats, and i think a few weeks ago Carlos Sainz did too. After last race i saw people online absolutely savaging Charles Le Clerc, (even some outrageous comments about his unborn child 😳 ) saying hes not a team player, and yesterday lots of McLaren fans are raging about Oscar not giving Lando a tow

There is currently a George Russell tik tok account pretending to be him. It’s impossible to report because you have to link the real account of that person & he doesn’t have a tik tok account

As an F1 fan first & foremost I find it really sad how it has become much more partisan.

Fans used to have their teams and drivers but it was a love of the sport that united them. I never once felt unsafe at a race.

So glad Charles seems ok if a bit shell shocked

Whilst across the various series I watch I've always had drivers I've disliked for various reasons, I'd never dream of sending them online hate. I just don't understand it.

Hope Charles is OK, looks like possible concussion so hopefully it is just shock.

SO disappointing! Glad Charles OK and karma is a bitch but Lewis!!!!! I SO wanted Lewis to win!!!! The atmosphere in Monza is something else! A Ferrari win would have been incredible!!!!

Disappointing for Charles (good to see he got out straight away, hope hes ok) and fir Ferrari. The incident between Lewis and Charles at the start put Lewis back several places, and now Charles is out
Although there is a lot of race to go

I gave him the benefit of the doubt until now - however, I now don’t think he is a team player. The push on Lewis at Zandavort and today pushing him off track …… he is NOT a team player. What do others think?
