How did the ground pass a Health and Safety inspection?

A 10 year old could tell you that it is dangerous to have a concrete wall near to a football pitch.

An avoidable tragedy. So so sad.

I understand it’s very common at grassroots level

Potter sacked by West Ham

No surprise there OP. Nuno Espiritos, Santos lined up to take his job. I think Nuno will turn them around

Tarkan · 27/09/2025 11:26

Was just coming here to say that. Sky Sports News saying we’re getting Nuno.

Tarkan · 27/09/2025 11:29

X-posted.

I’m hopeful for Nuno. Moreso than I ever was for Potter and Lopetegui at least. He’s got a lot of work ahead of him though.

Now I just have one team left with a manager that needs to go (Martin at Rangers). 🙈

is he going for the record of training every club in the premier league?

I do love our interim trainer (Polanski, late of the under 23s) but i'd take Potter at Gladbach. Speaking of which: losing against Eintracht Frankfurt today in the late bundesliga game, if anyone wants to cross their fingers for us?

Hopefully the last manager the Apprentice sidekick and the porn merchant appoint. The sooner they sell up the better.

Slot complaining about extra extra time, hilarious.

Arbroath were away at Raith today. Always one that’s a tough match for us and we lost 3-0.

As an aside the only time I’ve ever felt unsafe near away fans was when we played Raith a few years ago and I went to the match by myself. I’d borrowed DC’s woolly hat and had it in my pocket as we left and one of them stole it from my pocket and we never got it back. 😢

TheSleepingGiant · 27/09/2025 17:48

Fingers crossed here for later@Brefugee

Gillingham offered seats in the Brian Moore stand for a fiver for today's game. 7,400 turned up to watch them lose to Harrogate ending the unbeaten run 😫

Cuwins · 27/09/2025 18:19

Great win for Brighton at Chelsea today. Have to say I do enjoy beating them!

Irony overload!

Brefugee · 27/09/2025 18:35

5-0 down at half time. The ultras have furled their flags and stopped singing. Team booed off at half time. Stadium shouting for the sport director's head. Urgh. Still. It will be easier to get out of the car park.

And Wedesday drew.

@DuncinToffee. I particularly enjoyed that

Brefugee · 27/09/2025 19:58

Well that was a fightback! 6-down in the 49th minute. Ended 4-6

They are still a shower of shite!

A good fight back even if it wasn’t enough though. What a goal fest of a game!

Always asked to remove the hat when its raining. Or I am having a bad hair day. Otherwise they don't bother 😂

I am subscribed to the Red News fanzine, and generally pick up before the game to save them postage. I always enjoy reading it. I also sometimes pick up United we Stand. Also good!

I think fanzines have a place in football. Offer the chance to get different views but also come together against the execs!

I buy both RN and UWS too. The podcasts are also great value. Enjoy passing the time of day with the sellers on the way to our seats. It’s an essential part of the ritual.

I’m surprised it’s even registering with ABUs since it’s such a regular event.

Another week of avoiding all football related media until we inevitably underperform against Sunderland next weekend. Will be interesting to see whether the Stretford End sing the Amorim chant or not.

It is. They stand outside in all weathers. It doesn't take much to say hello as we go past!
The Red News podcast often talks about how they stopped selling post games because of the abuse they got, more so after a loss (which is all too frequent nowadays!). Hardly their fault is it!
I too am avoiding all media/social media for the next week. Work is going to be unbearable on Monday!

DuncinToffee · 28/09/2025 10:36

I dont want to make it more unbrearable but the BBC is suggesting Potter could be a surprise Amorim replacement.

I’ll print out a scan of my digital season ticket in order to flamboyantly rip it up if this happens.
