We are over halfway through the season. It looks like the WDC will either be Lando or Oscar. Hoping for a grandstand finish in Abu Dhabi.

Baku is very unforgiving and there are years with a lot of mistakes.

I think Charles’ error cost Lewis as he lost his run on new tyres. Lewis doesn’t look happy in the car now it’s in the garage. It’s such a shame as he was on for a good starting position.

Max is looking ominous.

Please let it rain, Sainz on pole would be epic.

Carlos got P2 - fantastic. Liam well done P3. Max is unstoppable.

Flipping heck, qualifying was longer then most races! On the day when Lando could make some inroads to Oscar's lead he just can't do it.
Max has a handle on that car again now.

Well that was entertaining! It's impossible to say who will win tomorrow. I guess whoever stays away from hitting the wall and gets lucky! Disappointing that Lando couldn't put a bigger gap between himself and Oscar. It's a mixed up grid too which could make for an interesting race. I won't make any plans for tomorrow afternoon because it may be a long race afternoon 😅

Who do we think will finish on the podium? Max has a good chance of staying in front but I don’t know who the other two places will go to.

Lando should have seized that opportunity to close the gap to Oscar and get decent points. Disappointing. But very pleased for Carlos and Williams.

I had school all day yesterday (boarding school) where I run STEM activities, the kids were very happy to have free practise and then qualifying on in the background. There is actually loads of F1 interest - we have started an after school group on Mondays to discuss the races!

I’ve noticed Martin Brundle is not around as much lately - missing whole weekends - is he unwell?

I read somewhere that Martin and Crofty had had their contracts reduced this season, don't remember where. Not sure if it was by choice. Martin is getting on a bit and he has had 2 heart attacks so I imagine he wanted to slow down a bit

That tight bit around the castle - I literally breathe in and hold my breath every time they go through there!

Martin has for a long time not done all races, even when it was Channel 4. I think going to 24 races both he and Crofty have reduced the number of races they do.

OMG Oscar out. Lando needs to capitalise and get as many points as possible.

Drama!! Wonder how many safety cars there will be this race.

Sainz is hanging on to Max well.

I am torn as I want Lewis to do well but want Lando to get good points,

George has done well. I just want Carlos on the podium.

We need a safety car to bunch them up a bit then Lando can get past some more people 🤞🤞

Bloody McLaren just can't get it right. 2 seconds would have made all the difference for Lando.

Max cannot be discounted from the drivers championship - McLaren could mess this up.

That was a much better race from Lewis. Had it not been the DRS chain I think Lando and Lewis would have finished higher.
