We are over halfway through the season. It looks like the WDC will either be Lando or Oscar. Hoping for a grandstand finish in Abu Dhabi.

Rain us always good imo, but not too much!
We're out tonight so won't bother with Sprint quali but looking forward to the weekend 😀

Lewis out after Charles spins. Now being referred for yellow flag infringement.
Max still looks threatening

Must admit that I fell asleep during sprint qualifying tonight and when I woke up it was over. 😂

It’s on at 5am where I live so I feel your pain!

I'll be out tomorrow when the sprint is on So will be relying on DS to message a report (he'll be desperate for OP to do well) ...but then DS is going out in the eve, so probably will be outvoted if I want to watch qualifying!

Just an air b&b type place in Zandvoort all the camping was full, or more strangely closed.
It's got full cancellation until August so we will keep looking.
I'm hoping DS will be as excited as we are and that we can keep quiet until next July!

We were out last night so didn't see quali, brilliant from Kimi and pleased with Lando's pole. We were going to watch when we came home, but went to the pub instead!

i hate them doing live championship updates during the race.

Please excuse my ignorance, im a fairly novice follower of F1....the ones that crashed, ....assuming the drivers are unhurt, will their cars be fixed in time for qualifying....?
I asked DS for a report and he just text "saddening"! He'll be gutted about OP, but hes gone out with friends now

F1 mechanics are unsung hero’s. They usually can get a car repaired for qualifying. Depending what new parts they need they may get a grid penalty for the race.

However, sometimes the amount of work is too much. If that is the case and a driver cannot take part in qualifying the race director can allow them to start the race from the pit lane.

Please do ask questions as this is a welcoming thread where we are happy to share our knowledge.

Quali has been delayed to allow repairs to the barriers to be completed.

I started reading about F1/listening to podcasts so I wasnt clueless when DS was talking to me about it...but now I've got more interested/invested but there's lots to learn!

I dont really mind who wins - DS desperate for Oscar to salvage it - but it would be nice for a rookie to get a podium, or for Oscar , even though I doubt he'll win, just for dignity/confidence
