@MaybeNotBob

Obi got his PL debut yesterday right at the end.

DuncinToffee · 17/02/2025 18:33

We have a test event at the new stadium today with a friendly match between U18 Everton and Wigan, shown live on youtube, and wow! the stadium looks incredible 😍

I remember that excitment well. Enjoy.

Wembley ticket sorted for the cup final. May the best team win @burblish!!

burblish · 18/02/2025 19:30

@JasonTindallsTan I won't wish you good luck, of course, but I hope you have a comfortable journey to Wembley and back, with no delays. How's that? 😄 Seriously, hope it's a cracker of a match, whatever the outcome. And well done for scoring tickets! 🎉

JasonTindallsTan · 18/02/2025 21:53

It’ll be a nice day out, I don’t have too many expectations but I’d love it if we could have a bloody good go unlike last time.

burblish · 18/02/2025 22:08

Gutted for Celtic in the Champions League tonight - they played so well (just needed to be more clinical in their finishing). They can feel very proud of themselves - Bayern had a lucky escape there.

MaybeNotBob · 18/02/2025 22:08

Poor Celtic, they didn't deserve that.

Hellohah · 19/02/2025 17:11

Looks like we're pointless protesting again 😂
Whoopie do at achieving sod. Hey ho!

United financial report out.

£1 billion paid in interest on loans since Glazers takeover
£700 million outstanding Glazer debt
£300 million owed on transfers

Up shit creek without a paddle 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is it wrong that I'm dreaming of relegation?
Or we go into administration? (not fully sure how this would work, so maybe I shouldn't dream of this)
But I'd happily support us through a rebuild in the lower leagues, saying cheerio to all of the glory hunter tourists and getting the soul of club back. And of course the Glazers and that sneaky old bastard, Big Jim.

Football was once a simple pleasure

MaybeNotBob · 19/02/2025 17:47

That's honestly ridiculous. How has it been left to get so bad?

Oblomov25 · 19/02/2025 20:05

What a ball to Mbappe!

Oblomov25 · 19/02/2025 20:56

Also watching Villa Liverpool.

Well, I hope Villa don't play like that when they play us (Arsenal). They deserved to win.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 20/02/2025 09:17

We've already played them twice. Phew!

Manchester United being relegated would give pleasure to millions, and for the glory seekers, a lesson in resilience.

Not going to happen this season though.

The football regulator might mean you get consistent ticket pricing, and perhaps less inconvenient times for matches, but it will not stop the many owners who are not fit and proper persons in the eyes of the supporters of the clubs they own.

MaybeNotBob · 21/02/2025 12:35

PSV in the next round. I'll take that.

DuncinToffee · 21/02/2025 13:05

PSV is my childhood team. They are not doing that well in the league at the moment

The Everton v Man Utd was exciting.
Now watching Ipswich v Spurs.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 22/02/2025 17:00

No premier league home team has won yet today...oooo

DuncinToffee · 22/02/2025 17:00

After feeling numb for such a long time, my anger is back! Take a bow Andy Madley Angry

Hellohah · 22/02/2025 17:12

Apologies @DuncinToffee after a nightmare journey to Goodison due to a broken down train at Liverpool South Parkway, I was pretty surprised we got a VAR decision.

We were appalling as usual (that I saw - the away end view is abysmal, when I last went in 2005, the away end was behind the goal which was great) the draw flattered us and was undeserved, but at least our hellish day wasn't a total washout

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 22/02/2025 17:21

Oh well, there is always next year.

We (Arsenal) need to aim for top 4 now.

Tarkan · 22/02/2025 17:23

Very happy Hammer here right now.

Shame Rangers messed it up for me.

Stenny v Arbroath about to come on BBC Alba at half past. Sitting in the pub with DH watching the Calcutta Cup on one TV and waiting on the footy on the other.

Youngheartsalittletogetherness · 22/02/2025 17:24

A good day.. Aberdeen won
Icing on the cake.. Celtic and rangers got beat.😁
