Not yet but hoping someone who knows how to sets one up. Enjoyed last seasons.

Went to a QPR-Spurs friendly today. One of my friends who’s a QPR supporter bought the tickets, so we were all sat in the QPR bit, but was nice to hear all the support from the Spurs end!

Nice as well to see some new players - Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray - and also to see one of the club’s youngest players - Dane Scarlett - score a goal. And the Spurs keeper wasn’t our usual one and did well.

I’m hoping this will be a good season for Spurs. COYS! 🥳

Ah yes I just saw about Hojbjerg too. What’s the issue with Marseille? I don’t know enough about football to have an opinion on it 😂 all I know is there’s a rivalry between PSG and Marseille, but that’s the extent of my knowledge haha.

Mason Greenwood has also just signed for them. Very talented player but a nasty individual off the pitch. Won't say any more as I'm not sure it's in the spirit of this thread.

Ahhh of course. I see what you mean now. I forgot MG had also signed for them - I saw he’d signed for a new club but couldn’t remember who it was.

And I’m the same about needing a new name - I went for ‘Top of the Klopps’ last season, but can’t really carry on with that now. I liked it while it lasted though 🤣 Still quite gutted about Klopp leaving tbh. Although it does, in theory, mean he could throw his hat into the ring to be considered for the England manager vacancy. Even though, deep down, I feel as if that’s got as much a chance of happening as me seeing a flying pig outside my window…

I'll consider joining the league, I am one of those people that feels real keen when I sign up. I pick a team and then I just leave it and can't be bothered. Which means you will all beat me if I do sign up haha!
Maybe this is the year I'll dedicate sometime to it.

I’m going to be doing lots of swapping too! I’ve heard we’ll get 10 free transfers a week now, so I’ll take shameless advantage of those (most likely to alternate between Haaland and Salah 😂)

🤔 I’d not heard that. I understood that they were going to allow you to roll over up to 5 free transfers but that was the biggest change.

I can't see anything in the rules about 10 free transfers.

5 seems to be the maximum as JasonTT says

If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. The maximum number of free transfers you can store in any gameweek is 5.

Sorry it is up to 5! Gosh I read/heard that so wrong 😂😂 for some reason, I read it as 10 free transfers - I’m not sure how! How embarrassing - sorry!

my first reaction to that was "haha the Argentinians don't like it up 'em"

but actually: both teams should have been disqualified immediately. And they need to rethink the inclusion of men's football in the Olympics. It's not needed.

I love football but I don't see a place for it or any professional sport like basketball in the Olympic movement which seems more and more bloated with each games. It seems wrong to have competitions beginning before the opening ceremony!

Me neither - I don’t really understand having football at the Olympics either.

As far as I understand it, the Olympics will always happen in a year where there’s a major international football tournament - either the Word Cup or the Euros/Copa América/Coupe d’Afrique des Nations. Those tournaments nearly always happen after the end of a long domestic football season, when the players will be tired.

Having the Olympics happen straight after the season and a major tournament then makes no sense, because you won’t get the best players at the Olympics, as they’ll all be resting after the season/tournament. And surely the players you do get at the Olympics will be tired afterwards and need to rest, so will have less time than everyone else to prepare for the following domestic season.

Olympic men teams are U23's but yeah I never had any interest in it either

I have watched the women's tournament when it was the big event. There is controversy there too this year with Canada using drones to spy on New Zealand 😂
