Football fans join in to share the joy, the heartache and VAR frustration ⚽

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.”

Very happy with the result last night. Even managed to watch most of the match while backstage at the theatre. I was helping the principle girl in and out of a wedding dress during the last few minutes.

Honestly had a tear in my eye seeing all the lovely tributes to Antonio. Apparently he video called the team before the match and was joking away with them so sounds like he's doing well.

Tarkan · 10/12/2024 12:31

*principal. My phone keeps changing that one on me for some reason. 🤦🏻‍♀️

EboueEboue · 10/12/2024 12:39

A girl must have principles...

I find that extremely infuriating

EboueEboue · 11/12/2024 21:03

Yep, it's going to be ghastly. They'll probably try to stage it at a different time again. And people will die building the stadia.

MrsMitford3 · 11/12/2024 21:52

Although the end of this Arsenal match is bringing joy-the beginning of the second half I was nervous but suddenly with a few open play goals the confidence is showing-the subs have been very energising.

Myles Lewis Skelly looks the business.

Yes, good that Arteta made early changes.

MLS looks like a little boy but plays like an competent man.

He had a good game. Comfortable in the end. Looking good for qualification.

burblish · 14/12/2024 17:13

Chelsea will be happy today!

What a return from injury for Diogo Jota - we have missed him dearly. I was listening to the audio commentary and it sounds as though there could be no arguments re the Andy Robertson red card, but that Liverpool were pretty unlucky with the refereeing otherwise. Fantastic work from the team to have managed a point after being a man down for most of the match.

DuncinToffee · 14/12/2024 17:24

I take the point!

Expected a loss, it wasn't pretty but we battled hard and kept a clean sheet.

Yes, Pickford had a great game.

Not sure why he took both Oedegard and Rice off.

Nwaneri hardly touched the ball.

JasonTindallsTan · 14/12/2024 20:12

Brilliant result for Eddie and the lads today.

Brefugee · 14/12/2024 20:12

Wednesday, Boro & Gladbach all won today. Happiness chez Bref 😁

Cuwins · 14/12/2024 21:01

Currently trying to persuade my partner to time his visit to his parents tomorrow (with DD) for the same time as Brighton v palace so I can watch in peace.

Tarkan · 14/12/2024 21:23

Remember the start of the season when Arbroath were languishing at the bottom of the league?

Today we won 2-0 (away at Caley Thistle) and went top of the table!

Pickford definitely silenced the 'you are just a shit Aaron Ramsdale' crowd Grin

Away at Swansea yesterday - what a day! Slightly hungover this morning

I caught a bit of the end of your match, very exciting!

It's always funny to see J Bellingham on the scoresheet

Odegaard has just had a baby, so I suspect he hasn't been sleeping well...

Enjoyed the Man U win over City.
About to watch Spurs v Southampton, a bit worried tbf.

burblish · 15/12/2024 19:56

I really feel for Southampton - the players and fans alike are so demoralised. 😥 I love to see the big clubs getting shellacked, but not the less glamorous or newly promoted teams.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 15/12/2024 19:57

Oooo woops Southampton. This could end double if first half anything to go by
