Football fans join in to share the joy, the heartache and VAR frustration ⚽

“Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.”

Ah well, it always going to be part of football, something for us fans tp moan about Grin

At least you are not battling relegation Football

And FPL has been dire for me this week

Mine has been dire for weeks.

EboueEboue · 21/10/2024 11:11

Mine's dreadful.

Sounds like 115 charges got all the decisions their way. Again. <Sigh>

It probably was a red, and yet there's always an example of where "it was too far outside the box", therefore only a yellow...

And, as if to prove my point, Tosin doesn't get a red for an almost identical foul against Liverpool...

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 21/10/2024 14:52

What has really upset me is that Wolves should have got an definite free-kick just outside the MC box just before City snatched the ball away and had the series of corners which lead to the winning goal.

Kavanagh should not be a PL referee. He is so biased.

When the Wolves guy asked him why he had not given the free-kick, Kavanagh looked so guilty. He knew exactly what he was doing.

I don't know if this has been reported much outside of Scotland but that's Caley Thistle gone into administration. 15 points deducted so they're bottom of the league on -3 points. They were the team relegated alongside Arbroath from the Championship last year. I know money has been tight for us too so it is a worry when you see a similar club going through this, not something I would wish on any club.

It has been reported on my twitter timeline because of Duncan Ferguson but I hadn't seen it elsewhere.

Sad news for the club and fans.

That's Big Dunc out now. I wasn't sure if he would be or not because he had been working for free but depends on how long that had been arranged for I guess? Not much info about that has really been put out so hard to know really.

I was there too, my first time in the new stadium and my 11 year olds first time seeing Spurs live. He was a bit disappointed Son wasn't playing but otherwise really enjoyed the experience and spending my money in the club shop!. Sat in the East Stand, row 7 so had an excellent view. Loved it.

Can't beat a late equaliser, especially when playing shite. Betooooooo Grin

I'm sure Swindon fan's thought the same against Gillingham earlier. 1 minute away from a much needed 3 points and they mess it up at the death Sad

We were on the other end of that today. 2 late goals when we should have been comfortable! 🤦‍♀️

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 26/10/2024 21:47

An ex-Arsenal goal and assist for Fulham today.

Brefugee · 26/10/2024 22:39

Sheffield Wednesday won last night, can't believe it!
Gladbach drew 1-1 at Mainz having kindly scored both goals
And Gladbach U23 won 4-2 against Wuppertal. So that was a bonus.

Nice footballing weekend Chez Bref.

DuncinToffee · 27/10/2024 11:14

There were a lot of late goals yesterday, I just caught the highlights of Preston v Plymouth Argyle, limbs Grin

Predictions for Arsenal v Liverpool?

We need the win but I just can’t see it, a few injuries at the minute so while I’d love it to be 3-0 to Arsenal I’m thinking it’ll be more like 2-0 Liverpool 🫣

EboueEboue · 27/10/2024 12:31

Rice to be sent off for looking at the referee in a funny way?

DuncinToffee · 27/10/2024 12:41

High chance of there being a penalty in this game, most likely rewarded to Liverpool.

I am going for a 1-1 draw, sitting comfortably on the fence

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 27/10/2024 13:01

1 nil to the Arsenal, I hope, but not feeling too confident.

Hellohah · 27/10/2024 16:25

I can take a loss most of the time, we are shit after all. But losing to a farce of a decision like that today has really annoyed me (for anyone who watched the West Ham v United game).
I think this is the maddest I've ever been about a VAR decision because it was just ridiculous (and there's been a lot of ridiculous decisions).

Anyway, hoping Arsenal beat the scousers, I'm sending all my raging positive vibes to them and reckon they'll win 3-2 👍🏻

AdviceNeeded2024 · 27/10/2024 16:41

Goal Saka 😃

DuncinToffee · 27/10/2024 17:06

That was never a penalty Hellohah

Van Dijk should have been sent off before scoring the equaliser.

Apparently knocking someone over with the full force of your arse doesn’t count as a foul… 🤔
