I am not sure Southgate saying that using TAA in midfield was an experiment is going to help him Confused

That is what friendlies are for.

To be fair to Southgate,, I seem to remember that he did play well in the first friendly but has gone down hill since then.

We were playing well until we scored yesterday (although we had quite a few missed passes), but after we scored, everyone just stayed back. Rice was acting as a defender and so couldn't create anything and was uncharacteristically making mistakes.

Thanks goodness that all the other matches have been draws too.

Slovakia v Ukraine is another cracking match! Why oh why are both Scotland and England so dour to watch in comparison?

DuncinToffee · 21/06/2024 15:52

Both teams want to win. I missed the first half so have only seen Ukraine's goals.

I hope Ukraine will go through and Mykolenko gets a chance to play.

1-1 in the Poland v Austria game. I bet £100 on my work competition for Poland to win, so a bit worried.

LadyShimura · 21/06/2024 18:27

Dammit, I want Poland to win.

burblish · 21/06/2024 18:42

Given the number of late goals in the tournament so far, never say never...but I don't think Poland are going to pull this one back.

LadyShimura · 21/06/2024 18:43

Yeah, I dont think Poland have it in them to save this one.

LadyShimura · 21/06/2024 18:57

That was a good game. Shame for Poland.

Oblomov24 · 21/06/2024 18:59

oh bugger.

Looking forward to Netherlands v France - promises to be a great contest. I'd like the Dutch to win this one.

I'm looking forward to seeing some great football, and I suspect this will be one of the games that delivers on that. ⚽

LadyShimura · 21/06/2024 20:01

Hoping for a good match. Would like to see Netherlands win.

Whinge · 21/06/2024 20:03

Goodness me that would have been an amazing start.

littlbrowndog · 21/06/2024 20:03

Wow

littlbrowndog · 21/06/2024 20:03

Am supporting the Dutch

burblish · 21/06/2024 20:06

Bloody hell, the French subs bench is better than most other teams' starting line up! There are so many technically superb players in this match - a football feast!

littlbrowndog · 21/06/2024 20:15

Omg

Whinge · 21/06/2024 20:15

Oh what a miss 🫨🫨

LadyShimura · 21/06/2024 20:17

Cor, that was a miss and a half.

littlbrowndog · 21/06/2024 20:18

Poor corner

Whinge · 21/06/2024 21:06

I was hoping for a more exciting game. I thought there would be a few goals by now.

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 21/06/2024 21:26

France are trying to Arsenal the ball into the net!
