Decent performance from England, despite a few dubious selections for many fans. Samoa didn't seem to wake up until they were three scores down, but showed much better in the second half, although their score-line was flattered a bit by two inception tries gifting them twelve points. I thought McMeeken, Havard and Burgess were very good upfront, and handled the Samoan big lads no trouble. Herbie was Herbie, and wasn't it great to see him playing at Wigan; what a player he is. Ashton was also excellent, and both halves had a good game.

Yes Samoa were a bit disappointing overall. I was expecting better! Great to see some our NRL lads over here in action. I'll watch the Leeds fixture on the telly.

Think the next game could be closer but always enjoy a win.
Hoping Currie gets a chance next match.

I don't think that's likely. Plenty here complaining about Nsemba not getting a place, but Wane conservatively stuck with his old faithfuls like Bateman. Basically, if Nsemba's not going to get a place, then I think Currie is even less likely. Samoa should be stronger. But they'd be a lot better side with Stephen Crichton and Brian To'o.

England clinch the series win with a convincing victory against a nevertheless much-improved Samoa side. Herbie once again the star of the show. Harry Smith and George Williams were very good in the halves, and a much delayed first England cap for Liam Marshall, who has excelled for Wigan this season; SL's top try-scorer by a distance, and delighted to see him get over the line with a trade-mark try.

Guess that’s it now for this year. Been a much improved year for us under Sam Burgess and co. Hope we can build on this next season. See you in February!

seems ages since the season ended. Clean sheet all round and all to play for.
Won’t be able to go to our first home game at The Luke Littler Stadium 🤣 but hopefully will watch more live games than we managed last year. Can’t wait.

Wow this game is brilliant! Come on Wigan!

Well they kinda cancelled each other out, and the game never really caught fire. And Wigan blew two great chances (Field not passing, and the p-t-b on 78 minutes, surely all they had to was sling it back for a drop-goal, but no, they went for a try). So a bit of a shame. But bloody hell, it was cold! 😮

Very decent showing from Wigan tonight; I splashed out 15 quid (it used to be 12, didn't it?) for NowTV and it felt money well spent for good entertainment (bar the tech issues 🙄, and the lousy Sky coverage), strong defence, good forward carry, and execution in attack largely pleasingly on track. Tough night at the office for a rather under-strength Hull FC after a good result last week. But guys like Rapana, great competitor though he is, are only a stop-gap at his age.
