Anfield is like a morgue tonight.

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 11/04/2024 21:50

Liverpool’s heaviest defeat all season?

LlynTegid · 11/04/2024 21:58

Anfield is like a morgue tonight.

Probably not the best phrase to use.

LlynTegid · 11/04/2024 21:59

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 11/04/2024 21:50

Liverpool’s heaviest defeat all season?

Probably. Now they can concentrate on the league, to use an old phrase.

domineastronomy · 11/04/2024 23:18

If they can get an early goal in Italy...

Brefugee · 12/04/2024 08:03

Sorry, Hammers fans, but i was rooting for Leverkusen who are playing an absolute blinder of a season (they could win the League tomorrow if Bayern don't get 3 points i think, even though they don't play until Sunday)

Am happy for Xhaka and Hoffman (came on as sub, scored a goal) even though the latter left us in summer and gave me a Big Sad.

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 13/04/2024 16:38

Well that was unexpected.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 13/04/2024 17:24

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 13/04/2024 16:38

Well that was unexpected.

Well done.

Loved the first comment on the bbc hys:

Tottenham fans talking about being kingmakers with the team looking more like court jesters...

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 13/04/2024 18:00

I did chuckle at the chants of ‘it’s happening again, it’s happening again, Tottenham Hotspur it’s happening again’ in ref to their 6-1 ploating at SJP last season.

Tarkan · 13/04/2024 18:30

Well it's official today. Arbroath are relegated. Sad

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 13/04/2024 18:36

Well it's official today. Arbroath are relegated. Sad

Oh dear. So sorry.

TheSleepingGiant · 13/04/2024 18:39

@EddieHowesShithousingMags That was what I said when the 2nd goal went in 😂Had to leave at HT to get to the Gills, but no complaints your boys were much the better team. Bit pissed off that we've dropped out of 4th on GD though.

Gillingham beat Barrow 3-0 in a game they absolutely dominated. The whole team put in a shift and I was buzzing walking out of the stadium today, it's been a while since I've had that feeling.

Well done to Wrexham, League 1 for them next season!

That's awful Sad relegation really is shit and I am sorry it's happened to your team.

🙁 relegation is shit. Been there recent enough to remember just how bloody awful it feels.

AndNobbyDancing · 13/04/2024 20:15

It is shit, we were there last season and despite them playing better than I thought I'm still not convinced Saints will do it.

Good game for Saints today, I dislike Watford so pleased with the result.

Cherries did well today, kid was at the game and thought they should have won it, looking forward to watching the highlights to see if that is true.

Kid2 was gutted by the spurs result especially as it hit his FPL, and I told him in the week it would be a NUFC win.

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 13/04/2024 20:26

My FPL was flying after the NUFC game as I had Gordon, Schar and Isak as captain. 46 points from 3 players. More than I got from 11 last week 😂

Brefugee · 13/04/2024 21:20

sorry to hear that @Tarkan Looks like Wednesday are going down too, i can't see how they can save themselves now.

Gladbach, as expected, lost to Dortmund today, but not by as much as i expected (2-1) and there's a new falafel stand in the Biergarten (I love our Biergarten so much) so now i have more choice of lunch on matchdays. Yaayy.

And congratulations to Stockport too. Hope Mansfield join them and Franchise FC lose in the play offs.

TheSleepingGiant · 14/04/2024 10:29

@LlynTegid Yes well done also to Stockport, after all the Wrexham hype I missed that they are also promoted.
I agree Mansfield deserve the last promotion place, and also agree with you about the Franchise, the sooner that scummy fake club are out of the EFL altogether the better. Absolutely loved it when Wimbledon beat them in added time earlier this season.

DuncinToffee · 14/04/2024 11:56

Sorry to hear that Tarkan, it's really hard to enjoy football at times isn't it.

Congratulations to Leverkusen!!

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 14/04/2024 18:24

Leverkusen have been phenomenal.

Villa have done mint today.

MustTryHarderAndHarder · 14/04/2024 21:09

Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

Hopefully we can beat Munich on Wednesday and hopefully someone will beat Man City, although I am not holding my breath.

Brefugee · 14/04/2024 22:13

EveryOtherNameTaken · 14/04/2024 18:03

Congratulations to Leverkusen!!

Their season has been phenomenal.

Poor ol' Harry Kane..

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 14/04/2024 22:21

Well, that was annoying. Particularly as I was watching in a hotel bar in Liverpool. I'd just been very quietly enjoying Liverpool losing, and then a load of disappointed scousers come in cheering on Villa!

Villa seem to be our bogey team at the moment. If we'd taken the lead in the first half when we were the better team it might have been different, but Villa were the better team in the second half.

As they say, it's the hope that kills you...
