The match was scheduled for US prime time as it was assumed the USA would go through as group leaders

So that is why one of the quarter finals is at 2am.

I've just watched the highlights of Japan vs Norway. That Japan kit is truly awful. Vomit-inducing.

Love Japan, as well as their kit. Aptly named the Nadeshiko. Whatever you throw at them, they can cope.

Switzerland v Spain was so dull (unless you are a Spain fan). Can't say I will miss the Swiss.

Just read on Sky News that Keira Walsh was up and training with the England squad. Wonder if this means she’s ok - or if it’s just a case of her keeping mobile and helping her own recovery (as well as helping the team).

Disappointing second half

It's lacking in quality.

I am surprised that they took Rodman off, she has been one of the better players this match.

It's a shame that Sarina Weigman is the only female coach left now
