Morning all.
Leeds fan here.
pleased with how we have started, despite throwing 2pts away today. Concerning that we again appear to have no fit striker and no sign of one coming in. Ah well, onto Chelsea next week…

Crikey, it’s not going well for Manchester United is it. On paper that team should be up at the top (I know we are only 2 games in) and scoring goals for fun.

DuncinToffee · 14/08/2022 10:14

You are very welcome Tartan, who do you support?

And you are in the right place Ottercave

This threads moved on fast. Nice to see so many new footie fans joining.

@Ottercave you are certainly in the right place, we chat about all leagues and teams here. At this rate Gillingham will be joining Yeovil in the National League :-( I have just caught up on the 'highlights' of yesterdays defeat to Tranmere - Gills were outfought and outplayed by a team that have hardly competed so far this season and the goals conceded were just embarrassing. Our manager has shown what a brilliant coach he is but without the tools and the players to do the job its pointless. Our chairman is currently taking an extended break from the club, with any luck it will turn into a permanent one.

Looking forward to Chelsea v Spurs later. Don't have a great record at the Bridge however hoping for a great game.

TartanGirl1 · 14/08/2022 10:32

Aberdeen! Although not sure I should admit that today!

DuncinToffee · 14/08/2022 11:03

At least it's not Dundee after their 7-0 defeat Wink

Btw I dislike some of the women commentators. Sue Smith seems to be everywhere suddenly and I just can't listen to her.

Ottercave · 13/08/2022 23:21

Not too sure if I’m in the right place as I’m a Yeovil fan.

Not too sure how we’ll do this season but hoping our Chairman will get bored of us soon and piss off and turn his attention to else where.

If its football this is the right place, keep us updated with how the season goes.

AndNobbyDancing · 14/08/2022 17:42

Tartan all welcome whilst it does end up being mainly PL all is good. Europe talk as well.

Oblomov some commentators annoy me as well, they can ruin a match.

Not taken with this Spurs match

AndNobbyDancing · 14/08/2022 17:44

If you were in charge of the Hammers would you let Declan Rice take the next penalty?

sunstoked · 14/08/2022 17:58

I’d let Declan Rice take the next penalty - he’s been a consistent member of the team and can change games when needed. Everyone has off days and players need to have their managers support.

All kicking off at Chelsea v Spurs right now!

AndNobbyDancing · 14/08/2022 18:15

It is indeed. Much better second half although not so keen on the score. How did Kane miss it?

sunstoked · 14/08/2022 18:18

Agreed - I’m watching as a neutral so glad a bit more action 2nd half.

WhiteHartLane · 14/08/2022 18:25

Harry Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane!!!!!

sunstoked · 14/08/2022 18:31

Drama continued even after full time 😂

Oblomov22 · 14/08/2022 18:36

Oh that was very tense. Not liking the Managers red cards.

AndNobbyDancing · 14/08/2022 18:45

It appeared to be Tuchel fault, they shook hands and then it looked like Tuchel didn't let go, but who knows.

WhiteHartLane · 14/08/2022 18:51

That's how it looked to me to Nobby. However the hair pull by Romero was out of order and right in the eye line of Anthony Taylor - should've seen red for that.

Oblomov22 · 14/08/2022 19:01

I thought Conte was as disrespectful not looking Tuchel in the eye.

The Romero hair pull was a red card and embarrassing.

Davros · 14/08/2022 19:36

Loved it. You Spurs! 🎶

DuncinToffee · 14/08/2022 19:41

Missed it all but I quite enjoy the twitter aftermath., sorry nothing to add really Smile

Loving our new owner, so good to have our club back.

Rode our luck in both home games but will happily take the points.

Davros · 14/08/2022 20:05

The new owner has done so much good already for the team.
My DC went to yesterdays game and they said the atmosphere was amazing
