Normally I'd be joining you all with the misery and I'm sorry results haven't gone your way today, however I have to share .. Gillingham only won today and scored twice!!! New chairman, 5 new signings and it feels like the cloud is lifting. Trying not to get too excited as they only beat Hartlepool and are still bottom but it feels really good to leave a match with the other Gills fans happy and satisfied with the performance.

And Spurs are definitely not going to let me down by losing tomorrow

We were just as confused at the match, the ref was hopeless but apparently counts as a missed pen as he touched it with both feet and I for one did not complain!

Quality shithousing from Ramsdale at the end there, but I missed the punch up going to the loo.

That first half was sublime.

No complaints with the result, quality Arsenal performance and the damage was done first half. Really disappointed and Lloris can get to fuck.

I remember Riyad Mahrez doing the same for Leicester - a complete inadvertent double kick when he slipped, but it was a free kick to the opposition.
Seemed harsh at the time, especially as LCFC would very probably have scored were it not for the foul. 😭

Lloris’ own goal in the match was gutting to watch. I think he’s an excellent goal keeper (and have to admit I have a soft spot for him) but every so often he’ll make a really stupid mistake! It’s so frustrating.

The whole thing was baffling, took ages to do a VAR check, gave the pen for the ‘foul’ by Tripps when in fact he’d had his ankle stood on first so couldn’t get out the way as the Fulham player was stood on him, didn’t even look at the Dan Burn incident which arguably might have been a more legit pen.

However, all’s well that ends well! For us anyway. Turns out Mitro is still a Geordie…

We lost Mudryk to Chelsea because they just kept throwing money at Shakhtar. I hope he'll have fun playing for a team that still cheers on the Russians though...

we have no money, so basically our business model is identify excellent young players, give them a platform then sell them on. We got over selling ter Stegen to Barcelona and we'll get over losing Sommer to Bayern.
but it's irritating that we really need a good 2nd half of the season and now we have to get used to a new keeper.

Still, 8 million & extras got us a good one and now at least Bayern have a chance of beating us

I'm an Arsenal fan too and thought we had got him. He didn't look too happy to be joining Chelsea.

There was an interview with the SD CEO on Athletic and from what he said I don't think they would have sold to us anyway. I think our negotiating had pissed them off.

Anyway, things happen for the best. Apparently we only got Ramsdale because we couldn't get David Raya.
