After all my years on Mumsnet I thought I would give this thread a go and see if there are any fellow darts fans about?

I wasn't planning on starting it until next week when the competition has picked up a bit but after that match between Borland and Brooks I couldn't not post now!

So, I know I am probably alone but if there is anyone out there come and chat with me Grin

I like Wade as well. It was Wade playing Taylor about 14 years ago that got me interested. Me, dh and a very young (maybe 3) dd went to North Tenerife for Christmas. The resort we stayed in was lovely but evenings were a bit odd. The only English type bar we found had darts on and we watched it one night. Later found out it was apparently a wife swapping bar, no wonder everyone was friendly 😁.

My Anderson bet is still live and DHs smith bet as well so everything to watch tonight. Will have a couple of scores bets as well. Tbh I don't mind who wins overall. Like all of them but obviously Anderson will always be my boy.

Just when I was starting to like Price.

He's made his name on giving out and egging on a reaction, while I do think the crowd have been bloody awful this year he needs to accept that he gets a far worse reception than others because of his own behaviour.

JaneJeffer · 02/01/2022 21:16

Come on James!!

SlingingArrows · 02/01/2022 22:43

Eeek I am still on with Smith but depending on the result tonight considering cashing out!

Just found this thread! Have loved the darts since an ex's family got me into it about 20 odd years ago. I just love Anderson, so hope he pulls it back.

ChippyDucks150 · 02/01/2022 22:49

Also, I'm Scottish and a Celtic fan so I had a snigger at this pic....

I can't believe I'm watching the darts. I can't believe I am doing mental arithmetic. Yet, here I am on the sofa, agog. WTF, 2022.

JaneJeffer · 02/01/2022 23:29

Wooh come on Gary!

ChippyDucks150 · 02/01/2022 23:34

Gutted Gary never won, what a bloody match though, they were both fantastic.

JaneJeffer · 02/01/2022 23:35

Great match.

Stomacharmeleon · 02/01/2022 23:36

Bloody brilliant game. Would like Michael smith to win tomorrow though.

JaneJeffer · 02/01/2022 23:38

Aww Peter is emotional.

BlueSkyeThinker · 02/01/2022 23:40

Incredible match! And the general audience atmosphere seemed much less... fraught than last night. There were moments when it sounded as if it was about to kick off proper back there while German Price was on.

BlueSkyeThinker · 02/01/2022 23:41

GERWYN. Stupid autocorrect.

SingleHandSue · 02/01/2022 23:42

Gutted for Gary, I really wanted him to win

CheesyChipsOnWembleyWay · 02/01/2022 23:45

That was brilliant. The 180s were off the chart. Gutted for Ando, feel like that would have been a worthy final.

SlingingArrows · 03/01/2022 19:33

Tuning in ready for the final!

We went out to the pub to watch the matches last night and I managed to miss all the posts on here after the first match but agree with you all, what a fab match between Anderson and Wright.

We really enjoyed Leg 2. 28 darts and no one could hit a double! Smith finally won it with double 1.

I'm sure the game will be cracking after that blip.

SlingingArrows · 03/01/2022 20:36

It certainly made the first set more interesting Grin

Smith looks gutted.

SlingingArrows · 03/01/2022 22:39

Such a shame for Smith I really thought he was going to manage it. A great game for him though.

He really does @JaneJeffer seeing him turn away and wipe his eyes made me well up

Gutted for Smith, he worked so hard. I thought he might do it for a while there. He will be back stronger.
