Does it really kill someone to crack a smile , it was the same with the Kenyan women in the marathon last night posing with the USA runner and their flags and they looked as miserable as sin .

I think they were exhausted @Floralnomad!

I think a marathon in 30 degree weather would finish most of us off!

Who was the lady they've just interviewed saying she didn't care she won, she was just glad she finished? And that she was mad to do three events.

She seemed very nice, I hope she's managing a sit down now!

That was Sifan Hassan who did a Mo Farah and won the 5000 and 10000.

And bronze in the 1500

The American managed to smile . I just prefer it when people appear happy with their achievements , the Netherlands relay team ( men 4x400) being a good example . The Kenyan women also smiled as they came over the line , it’s almost as if it’s a thing to not smile in the photos .

Thinking about it, I actually saw her in the 1500 m but didn't recognise her today. She looked a bit grim after the 1500, I presume today she's very pleased it's all over!

And what fantastic results for her.

Obviously she's a fantastic athlete and it doesn't really matter how she looks — but there was such a difference between the smiley talking at a million miles an hour woman they interviewed today, and how she looked last time I saw her that I didn't realise she was the same person!

Adored London 2012 and watching events live - wish we'd get the Olympics again in my lifetime but guess that's highly unlikely!
