What an utterly wonderful example of a human he is.

What a brilliant young man and a fantastic example for kids today.

To all the racists out there trying to tear him down. Fuck you.

@TangoWhiskyAlphaTango
I also start welling up whenever I read about what he's achieved thinking "His mother must be so proud ." Glad it's not just me lol. Will read the twitter thing when DH goes upstairs.

GrealishHairband · 12/07/2021 21:56

The pride his mum must feel. So mature and measured. Everything you’d want in a son.

A truly inspiring young man. Imagine how proud his mum must feel.

tsmainsqueeze · 12/07/2021 21:58

I absolutely love this man , he is a shining example of all the qualities a human being should aspire to.
I think he will go far beyond just being a footballer .
There are no words to describe the racist scum who hurl abuse , they are not fit to wipe his or anyone's boots.
Carry on Marcus you have achieved so much so far and have so much more to come .

Stopsnowing · 12/07/2021 22:00

Does anyone know of the best postal address to send a message of support to the team?

Whogotdakeystomabeamer · 12/07/2021 22:00

He's amazing

beentoldcomputersaysno · 12/07/2021 22:00

He's an amazing guy. A true role model.

Thisnamewasnttaken123 · 12/07/2021 22:02

He's amazing, I love him ❤️

BashStreet1 · 12/07/2021 22:03

What an incredible human being he is. That team has some amazing young men in it - using their platforms to drive awareness and change.

I really respect Tyrone Mings for his Tweet today about Priti Patel - he was spot on.

PicsInRed · 12/07/2021 22:04

Marcus Rashford is a very impressive 23 year old by any measure. Perhaps one day he'll be in Southgate's shoes, England football manager.

ILoveYou3000 · 12/07/2021 22:07

He's truly amazing isn't he? I love how while the racist twats couldn't go any lower, Marcus has gone high. A true role model.

Purpletomato · 12/07/2021 22:08

He's a wonderful example to young lads. I'm sure he'll be England captain in a few years and I think he will do interesting things after his football career too. He should feel really proud of himself and his mum should feel proud too, you can see the benefit he has of coming from a strong home, she did a great job raising him.

UnChatNoir · 12/07/2021 22:12

He's a true asset to this country.

Time2b33 · 12/07/2021 22:12

What a guy 🙌

cherry2727 · 12/07/2021 22:13

I'm soo moved .... what a mature , wise and strong young man. If my ds is anything like him at 23 I'd be proud .

Chosennone · 12/07/2021 22:13

God me too. What an inspiration ♥️⚽️

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 12/07/2021 22:14

He's a hero. Lovely man.

Ineedalifeline · 12/07/2021 22:15

He's an impressive young man, achieving at 23 what many will not achieve in a lifetime.. showing so much maturity to post that message within 24 hours of that penalty. I hope he goes from strength to strength in his footballing career and his life.

Tinysalmonswimminginastream · 12/07/2021 22:17

I was a total knobhead at 23

😂😂😂 Me too!

Tinysalmonswimminginastream · 12/07/2021 22:20

Let those fucking racist twats wank themselves into a frenzy of hate - Rashford is pure class.

Goldenbear · 12/07/2021 22:20

He is an amazing footballer and an amazing young man. I don't think the penalties should be over analysed, I mean it doesn't need saying, that's the whole point of the penalty process. There can only be one winner in football, why are people shocked by that when they are supposed football fans! I wonder how many of us at 23 could have or can now cope with the pressure of taking a penalty at a final! I wonder how many of us could handle the awful backlash and scrutiny, I am in awe!

Staffy1 · 12/07/2021 22:21

I feel so sorry for the players, they really don’t deserve abuse, especially not disgusting racist abuse.

Thekindofwindowsfaceslookinat · 12/07/2021 22:22

I have so much respect for him. He is a fabulous role model.

Bighearted, compassionate Tory MP response this morning could not be more of a contrast:

WrongKindOfFace · 12/07/2021 22:25

He’s a cracking young man.

And has more talent and dignity in his little toe than the racist scum could hope to possess in their entire lifetimes.

Lampzade · 12/07/2021 22:26

Those letters from the kids are just beautiful
I never watch football, but there was something about this England team that made me feel so proud of my country. I even put an England flag in my car windows. Dh was shocked
I refuse to allow a bunch of racists scumbags win
Marcus Rashford is an exceptional young English man and I know that he will continue to do great things.
