In BB's apparent absence.....

As in previous years, footy fans please sign in with

  1. Which team you support.
  2. Which team(s) you loathe.
  3. How you are getting your kids to follow the correct team.
  4. A thought on this season (Premiership/Championship/Champions’ League/FA Cup/any leagues world wide/fallout from the World Cup.)

I don't get that decision. It's all very silly.

Oblomov20 · 01/03/2020 17:04

Spurs lost to Wolves. Dh (Spurs fan) loves wolves's style of football.

DuncinToffee · 01/03/2020 17:19

Wolves are quite good to watch and they don't give up. All credit to Nuno.

WouldShouldCould · 01/03/2020 20:20

Agree DuncinToffee a read a Bournemouth fan saying they hoped they were relegated because at least in the championship you can celebrate goals.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 03/03/2020 22:44

Didnt expect to beat Liverpool and keep a clean sheet! Happy surprised. Good game. Good atmosphere

DuncinToffee · 03/03/2020 23:08

Nice one Barkley.

The first goal was comedy.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 04/03/2020 12:30

Hes such a frustrating player. Moments of that then the rest of the time less so.
Who knows what the weekend will bring..its been so stop start stop start so far. Be nice to finally start start again.

DuncinToffee · 06/03/2020 12:09

Nah, continue with the start stop start stop for a bit longer.

Carlo will be pitch side after accepting the fine.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 06/03/2020 19:39

That's good. Did like Carlo.

I dont expect much from the Everton game they have been a boogy side...though we play before Leicester which as nice as we drop points when they do

DuncinToffee · 08/03/2020 16:26

Well that was bad. Except for Pickford none of the players showed up, a few even went missing. Carlo's gift to Chelsea? Grin

Back to Everton that!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 08/03/2020 16:40

Didnt see that coming..even at 2-0 expected a comeback.. lack of corners from Everton definitely helped!

Hopefully you have that performance out the system though!

DuncinToffee · 08/03/2020 17:06

Yes I expected a improved performance the second half.
Ah well at least Kean and Gordon got playing time and Barkley didn't score. It was nice dreaming of Europe for a while.

DuncinToffee · 12/03/2020 07:49

I always liked Atletico Madrid Wink

WhiteHartLane · 12/03/2020 20:17

Exciting game last night. Liverpools attack was relentless, Athletico hardly faltered in defence. Michael Owen on BT sport annoyed me, couldn't bring himself to congratulate the team/Simeone. Liverpools lack of away goal cost them and the best team over the 2 legs won.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 12/03/2020 21:36

That's the thing. Yes they played defensively but once they did less of it in added time they scored 2 goals.
Crazy to think last season we had 3 English clubs in the semi final and this year it's one in the quarters.. if City get by..if it gets played

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 12/03/2020 22:51

Arteta tested positive. Meetings being held tommrow

DuncinToffee · 12/03/2020 23:05

Just saw that, hope he feels better soon.
Leicester has 3 players self isolating, Man City has 1 and Chelsea cancelled training today as precaution.
Very worrying.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 13/03/2020 07:16

Callum Hudson Odoi has tested positive so all of our players, staff etc self isolating.

DuncinToffee · 13/03/2020 07:47

Emergency FA meeting at 9.
I'd prefer cancelling/postponing matches, playing behind closed doors just isn't what football is about.

Euros 2020 will most likely be postponed.

WhiteHartLane · 13/03/2020 07:51

I agree. Also the League 1/2 clubs couldn't play with no fans, the financial implications for them would be massive. Fingers crossed the season is postponed til further notice.

DuncinToffee · 13/03/2020 09:34

Everton's entire first team and coaching staff are self isolating now.

DuncinToffee · 13/03/2020 11:16

Right decision

The Premier League, FA, EFL and WSL have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England

Full statement: preml.ge/hfjbr

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 13/03/2020 19:24

Makes sense. Right call. Think be off longer then they think though.

DuncinToffee · 14/03/2020 12:13

This made me laugh

"Quadruple"
"Villa 5 - Liverpool 0

"Unbeaten"
Watford 3 - Liverpool 0"

"Treble"
Chelsea 2 - Liverpool 0

"Double"
Atletico 4 - Liverpool 2

"League Title"
Covid 19 - Liverpool 18

(Sorry to any Liverpool supporters Wink)

Oblomov20 · 14/03/2020 13:57

Football season cancelled? Does that mean Liverpool get 'given' the trophy?

What does this mean for Spurs? Our play is pitiful recently. Having no games actually does us a favour! More time for all our injured players to recover?

We lost this week so are out of the champions league. Not that I recently thought we'd get 4th this year, but presumably we are thus out of it for next year? Bummer!
