And great to see DCL score for England last night too Smile

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 11/10/2020 14:38

Hope it continues! Do feel we jumped the gun sacking Carlo

DuncinToffee · 20/10/2020 08:51

Well the wait for a win continues but I will take the draw. Still unbeaten, coming back from behind twice, DCL scoring again and VAR actually ruling in our favour, UTFT!

And Aston Villa are not doing too bad either

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 24/10/2020 22:05

Until yesterday..still bit mad that we're 6 games in and only one team out of 20 hasn't lost yet!

Wasn't it up till last week was just Everton out of all the leagues with a 100% record or something.

PhilSwagielka · 26/10/2020 02:38

Everton had our first loss to Southampton but tbf they are a good side and we’re minus Coleman and Richarlison. Bricking it about Newcastle because Pickford scares me.

My stepdad is Chelsea and apparently their game with United was so tedious.

DuncinToffee · 26/10/2020 17:20

Pickford will benefit from no fans I hope. We played quite bad yesterday, second to every ball and no service to DCL. Southampton played well and had their tactics spot on by targetting Everton's right side.
Still top of the league 💙⚽️

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 26/10/2020 21:15

The Chelsea game was bad..and never knew it was okay to arm lock someone round their neck and not get a penalty but hey ho..

DuncinToffee · 01/11/2020 18:07

I didn't watch the men's game today, instead opted for the women's FA cup final. Great match, gutted for the Toffee girls but City deserved the win. Impressive goalkeeping on both sides, so glad that has greatly improved in the women's game, it used to be pretty dire. COYB boys and girls 💙

Oblomov20 · 19/12/2020 08:47

The disgusting abuse , racial and death threats to Steven Bergwijn (Spurs) after the Liverpool defeat is awful. Makes me sad. Embarrassing.

He's only 22. Bless him he's a whippersnapper, a young lad.

Disgraceful.

DuncinToffee · 27/12/2020 23:25

It's awful Oblomov20 and very worrying that racial and dead threats are on the rise again Sad

I can't believe we are second in the league, losing to Man U in the league cup spoiled the mood a bit but 4 consecutive wins!
The schedule is ridiculous though, only 48 hours between the Sheffield and City match, fingers crossed for no new injuries.

DuncinToffee · 28/12/2020 19:46

Ah well, match is off. I feel sorry for the 2000 fans who were lucky to get tickets.

KnowallKnownowt · 16/01/2021 22:23

Hi found this thread - Thank you football fans!
Team: Man City
Loathe: None really - enjoy watching most teams play
Kids: City fans through and through
Season: Hopeful with City having a game in hand
I haven't been impressed with main TV coverage this season during the match. Pre match ramble, half time and whistle blow analysis back in the studio are better aspects. You tuber Goldbridge does Man Utd and I have listened to him on you tube along side the match with the TV volume down. I have tried a few of the Man City ones and came across a match commentary from northern lads. This is the link City V Palace 17/1 if anyone else having the same frustrations! Looks like they do SIMS for FIFA, news and commentary. Worth a look for Man City fans.

DuncinToffee · 25/01/2021 11:57

Hi Knowall, this thread has gone quiet, a bit like the football grounds.

I agree with you on the tv coverage, far too often they show the managers or subs and miss a lot of play, for me there are far too many ex liverpool players commentating and don't mention the crowd noises. We mostly mute and listen to radio commentary Grin

I really enjoyed our FA match against S Wednesday, James Rodiriguez is a joy to watch.

De Bruyne out will be a big blow to City.

Chelsea fans, how you feel about Lampard set to being replaced by Tuchel?

KnowallKnownowt · 25/01/2021 14:01

Thanks for your reply!

Yes KDB out is a major blow. Grealish wasnt booked in the match but managed to injury both Walker and KDB.

I am enjoying the FA Cup and seeing the smaller teams get a look in.

Lampard we laughingly call a City legend after his stint with City. I was there the day he scored against Chelsea for us. Tuchel rumoured to maybe bring along Erling Haaland to Chelsea, not sure if that will materialise he's a player very much in demand and still only young.
The Premier league is not the Bundesliga nor Serie A so lets see what new blood in management can produce.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 31/01/2021 15:22

Sad about the sacking. He came too early but no doubt getting someone in last season been tough. Got us to a champions league place and hope he gets opportunity elsewhere and builds up his career.

DuncinToffee · 04/02/2021 10:49

After the dismal match against Newcastle, I didn't expect a win at Leeds, so very happy with the result and the way of playing.

All the away teams won, what a weird season this is.

BelfastBloke · 07/02/2021 08:48

Sorry I didn't start a Rolling Football Thread for this current season 2020/21.

Until now:
