In BB's apparent absence.....

As in previous years, footy fans please sign in with

  1. Which team you support.
  2. Which team(s) you loathe.
  3. How you are getting your kids to follow the correct team.
  4. A thought on this season (Premiership/Championship/Champions’ League/FA Cup/any leagues world wide/fallout from the World Cup.)

Potch sacked! Sad

Oh Levy, I do hate you sometimes. I can't see how Tottenham will benefit from this? Truely puzzled.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 19/11/2019 22:28

I don't think the board have helped if they haven't backed him in transfer windows. Cant expect miracles from nothing.

If you do get Jose least you know for 2 seasons all be fine. Its after that it goes wrong

WhiteHartLane · 20/11/2019 07:34

Well that appointment didn't take long Angry. I can't see how he is going to get on with Levy and his shoe string budget but there we go. Can't see it lasting.

Pochettino is a legend and I envy the next club and fans who get him. Easily the best Spurs Manager in my lifetime.

HiHoToffee · 20/11/2019 07:44

Madness. The timing of the sacking and new appointment seems a bit off too.

AntennaReborn · 20/11/2019 07:51

I really like Poch and I am sad to see him go, but I think Levy made the right call. The season can still be turned around, and at least we have replaced Poch with a proven manager (albeit a slightly deranged one)

Had we appointed a complete turkey I would be concerned, but I have to admit I am now getting rather excited to see what the rest of the season is going to look like!

Boiledeggandtoast · 20/11/2019 14:12

I really liked Pochettino and am so sorry to see him go, especially to be replaced by the cynical Mouriho. As Will Magee writes in today's i, "He (Pochettino) may not have satisfied the silverware fundamentalists, but Spurs fans knew his value to the club could not be judged on such a reductive basis." A sad day.

Pan2 · 21/11/2019 07:34

...and repent at leisure.....

It will be the usual Mo shitshow I'm afraid. It will, as usual, end in tears, but not his. Just a massive pay off.

What are you thinking???

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 23/11/2019 17:03

It'll be fine for a while then after 3 seasons if lasts all go downhill. He turned us around and know money helped but he played a part twice. Then lost the plot. Twice

HiHoToffee · 23/11/2019 17:23

Fuck that was bad.
Everton fans joining in with the 'sacked in the morning' chant. I like Silva but I am losing faith in him.

WhiteHartLane · 23/11/2019 19:01

I like Silva too but can't help feeling his time is up, 3 of the top 5 teams coming up next.

I'm not really happy with Mourinho's appt at Spurs but have to admit it was a positive 70 minutes today and he didn't have them playing out from the back which was good to see. Still it was only West Ham and we were very sloppy in the last 15 minutes so plenty of work to do.

I still wish Poch was given more time, I was quietly confident that after another transfer window he could have got the team firing again.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 23/11/2019 23:44

The text on BBC probably does sum up a lot of Everton fans feelings..

George: We really are the ‘People’s Club’...

“Can’t win away from home?” Come to Goodison!

“Struggling with goals on the road?” Don’t worry, we’ve got you!

“Desperately need a win to please your board?” That’s fine, we don’t want the points

HiHoToffee · 24/11/2019 10:54

That kind of attitude has been going on for a couple of years now and gets a bit tiring, even if it seems true Smile

Personally I feel like this tweet

'If our squad was full of numpties and yard dogs, I'd be ok with #Silva. I know he can fix that.
But it's not.
It's brimming with internationals and very talented players.

They need a coach of equal quality.'

He isn't it.

WhiteHartLane · 24/11/2019 12:40

Poch is available. Possibly Emery and Pellegrini too Grin

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 24/11/2019 13:04

Nah only a matter of time surely. Though don't know who else is around. I like Everton and they can be such a tough side

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 24/11/2019 15:36

Happy also ish with yesterday. We didn't lose 6-0 this time just seemed to do weird passing 2nd half

HiHoToffee · 29/11/2019 10:31

Emery is available now....

Pan2 · 29/11/2019 13:58

Up to the board.

HiHoToffee · 01/12/2019 12:47

Everton can't even win the sack race..... Grin

Watford fired Sanchez Flores

WhiteHartLane · 01/12/2019 20:07

I never understood the re-appointment of Flores, he always looked clueless to me. Chris Hughton fave to take over.

Didn't see the Everton game so don't know how they played overall today but sad to see them lose so late.

Pleased for Sissoko yesterday, a great 1st goal.

Gills beat Rotherham 3-0 and are in the next round of the FA cup!! Fingers crossed for a decent tie next round.

HiHoToffee · 01/12/2019 22:03

It was a much improved performance but again mistakes cost us. Gah, I hate VAR.

StrawberryGoo · 01/12/2019 22:08

I thought Everton looked good today and were unlucky to lose. I could have cried for Marco Silva when VAR overturned the last minute offside. He looked totally broken.

Olinguito · 02/12/2019 13:27

I felt really sorry for Marco Silva yesterday too - what a cruel end to the game.

HiHoToffee · 02/12/2019 19:36

Away to Liverpool for the FA cup, COYB!

WhiteHartLane · 02/12/2019 20:07

Spurs are away to Middlesborough.
Gillingham will host West Ham Smile

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 04/12/2019 20:53

Be such a shame to see Everton go down especially with the players they have. It's clearly not working and manager needs to go.
