Title done and dusted. Now to see who finishes where.. I dont think Chelsea be 4th but to be honest didnt expect anyway. Bottom 2 expect to still be same. Just who joins.

WhiteHartLane · 28/12/2019 20:31

Its boring when its decided so early. Love it when it goes to the wire, top and bottom. I think Pearson will keep Watford up.

Chelsea are more likely to get 4th than Spurs. Just listened to another horror show. Our attack must be getting sick of bailing out our defence all the time.

StrawberryGoo · 28/12/2019 20:35

It is boring that Liverpool are so far ahead but I think the battle for Europe and survival will be interesting.

On that latter note, I’m a villa fan and thoroughly depressed

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 28/12/2019 21:04

VAR VAR VAR....I dont get it anymore. The offside decisions are stupid.

Nahhhhh I think we're just going to be bad as each other. Spurs lose..so do Chelsea
Man u have suddenly appeared from no where.

Swinesinsleepingbags · 28/12/2019 21:16

From reading first page

  1. Tottenham (tho new manager may make me rethink) and soton
  2. Watford the cheating handball fuckers
  3. Only paying to take them to righteous teams.
Agree that's is boring if so easily decided. At least the scramble at the end is interesting. Feel sorry for Bournemouth with the injuries but pray Watford (cheating fuckers) go down. Always hope the newly promoted stay up but Norwich looking unlikely
DuncinToffee · 28/12/2019 21:44

VAR is killing the game, at least the way it is being used in the PL. The offside decisions are getting ridiculous.

Happy Toffee here, good win at Newcastle. Ancelotti is making great tactical subs and the team are playing for the shirt once again. Up to 10th 💙

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 29/12/2019 13:28

I'm glad hes doing well. Do think we sacked him way to early but that happens a lot

DuncinToffee · 29/12/2019 18:48

Well done for that comeback, Everton end the year in the top half of the table. I really didn't expect that at the beginning of the month.

LiVARpool is trending on twitter Grin

StrawberryGoo · 29/12/2019 19:43

VAR is a joke - the offside decision against Wolves was a disgrace. I said the same yesterday when Norwich had theirs ruled out against Spurs. I’m a Villa fan and could not have been more desperate for Norwich to lose, but it just was so unfair.

Also poor Pedro Neto, the exhilaration Of scoring and celebrating and a few minutes later it’s ruled out. Villa were back at the centre circle waiting for kick off when Hourihane had one ruled out the other week. It is ripping the soul from football.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 29/12/2019 20:54

That's the thing! Chelsea scored today and was waiting for it to be cancelled. It's silly! Some decisions yes others just seem way way to far. I dont think theres been many games where its been welcomed.

DuncinToffee · 29/12/2019 21:10

It works elsewhere so why does the PL get it so wrong.

Swinesinsleepingbags · 01/01/2020 18:19

Turns out I might be a cherries fan as so upset about the current WH score, I don't want Eddie to get sacked and don't want them to go down. Football is funny like that sometimes it's the bad results which male you realise you care.
Agree about VAR

DuncinToffee · 01/01/2020 19:45

I like Eddie Howe (not just because he's an Everton fan) but he needs investment in players if he is to keep Bournemouth up. The injuries are not helping at the moment.

Not a good match for the blues, never really showed up and lucky City didn't score more.
No idea what went on with the penalty check, all fans were singing 'fuck VAR' Grin

WhiteHartLane · 01/01/2020 20:15

I would be suprised if Eddie Howe loses his job, although if things don't improve they have to be contenders for the drop.

Wanted West Ham to lose as they face Gillingham next in the cup! Didn't want them coming to Priestfield on the back of a good win! Why couldn't they have stuck with Pellegrini a bit longer? Crown Grin

Another poor Spurs performance earlier. Didn't think they could do any worse after the Norwich game. Was wrong Crown Hmm

Swinesinsleepingbags · 02/01/2020 12:05

Spurs were dreadful, watched it with the kid and he commented on how Saints seemed to be a team that cared about the club and each other but Spurs no longer worked as a team.

Oblomov20 · 02/01/2020 12:15

Watching Spurs at the moment is so painful. Awful.

And I don't think you can just blame the manager.

The players were truely awful. They need to be held accountable. All of them. Their pass succession rate? Worst for ages? Must be? Surely. Nearly all their players were playing balls, that rarely got to a teammate.

I can barely stand to watch them atm. Awful.

DuncinToffee · 02/01/2020 12:23

I think it is time to change the busy Christmas schedule, so many injured and fatigued players does nothing for the quality of the game.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 02/01/2020 22:42

It's silly. Theres no need apart from for telly!

Mad thing about yesterday is despite Chelsea drawing we're no worse off because other results. Its like last season no one really taking advantage

WhiteHartLane · 03/01/2020 18:32

I also don't think the clubs should compete in these mini tournaments abroad over the summer. Have a proper rest.

I read somewhere that Chelsea have been 4th and 6 points ahead of 6th since early November.

toffeeghirlinatwirl · 03/01/2020 18:48

Why am I only seeing this thread now?

Waves to fellow Evertonians UTFT

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 05/01/2020 19:52

WhiteHartLane yeah something like that but how?! We've lost so many over the last month.

Happy today though seeing VAR in action at the stadium it was so slow! Especially cause you're just waiting

WhiteHartLane · 05/01/2020 22:05

Nice to see the monitor get an outing today in the Palace game Grin

Gillingham played well against a strong West Ham. Better side first half but have to say West Ham deserved the win. Second goal was cruel, caught on the break going for the equaliser Sad

Not seen Spurs game but a few reports have said we deserved the equaliser (haven't heard that in a while)!

DuncinToffee · 06/01/2020 08:47

We deserved to lose, missed sitters in the first half and then stopped playing.

January will be interesting now Ancelotti will start building his team, hopefully some of Koeman and Allerdyce's signings will not be starting again.

Olinguito · 06/01/2020 13:47

So disappointed by Everton's performance yesterday. After seeing Liverpool's team sheet I thought we had a good chance to win - the second half was so poor and the result embarrassing in the circumstances. Really hope Ancelotti can attract some better players to the team.

Justneedatemporaryname · 06/01/2020 19:46

Arsenal fan here. Liking our new manager. Easy on the eye too 🙈
