In BB's apparent absence.....

Liverpool 24 points.
Leicester and Chelsea 17.

That is BIG

WhiteHartLane · 19/10/2019 20:19

I was at the Gills match this afternoon so didn't listen to the Spurs game, but from what I have heard it was another pathetic performance with help from VAR. Will brave MOTD later to see the full horror.

Toffee I was listening to the first half of the Everton match and I was impressed. Sounded like they were in full control. Credit to Silva.

HiHoToffee · 19/10/2019 21:16

Yes credit to Silva for making the changes, to be fair he was forced to due to injuries and suspensions but he put Siggy on the bench and left Schneiderlin out. Gomes and Davies were great and the pace was sooo much better. Now keep it going Marco!

There was a lot of VAR controversy in the later matches Shock

MrPan · 21/10/2019 08:28

VAR is our friend at MUFC. Little so pleasing at footie than a bitter scouser. Grin

Would have taken a draw at K.O. - feels like a defeat at the end. Football eh?

OP posts:
LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 21/10/2019 20:41

I don't think VAR has been the success they thought it would be so far. Hasn't really cleared up much just added to the confusion.

Nice to get a clean sheet! Especially as Zouma is a disaster some games.
No Ajax fans at the Chelsea home game be odd. Some are trying to go to Leyton Orient instead

MrPan · 25/10/2019 13:01

There is def. a new law that says Man Utd are not allowed to score more than one goal per game.
Who knew?

OP posts:
HiHoToffee · 25/10/2019 21:56

That law definitely doesn't apply to Leicester, 9! Shock

HiHoToffee · 26/10/2019 17:21

Gutted, such a cruel way to lose. Never a penalty Angry

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 26/10/2019 18:55

Shouldn't have been a penalty. VAR is all over the place.

Happy with the way this game is going. Hoping can keep a clean sheet though! We want 5!

HiHoToffee · 26/10/2019 19:39

Well done Chelsea despite the no clean sheet.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 27/10/2019 12:02

Yeah I don't think we often do clean sheets...

Wonder what drama VAR will bring today.. Doesn't seem to be a match weekend where it doesn't go smoothly. So many problems. Guess it's how someone else views it though which isn't always right

HiHoToffee · 27/10/2019 15:38

The VAR assistent was Lee Mason and according to the statistics; Including video assistant referees, Lee Mason has awarded Everton's opponents 9 penalties - more than any other referee since WWII

Wonder why they call us bitter Wink

At least our women beat Brighton 2-0 today.

MiltonRoad · 27/10/2019 19:33

I nearly did an actual cry on Friday night
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

HiHoToffee · 29/10/2019 23:02

Very poor first half, better second and a deserved win, just stop hitting the woodwork! COYB ⚽️⚽️

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 03/11/2019 19:48

Horrible injury and hope for speedy recovery but the red card has caused a lot of debate.. As has VAR once again..

Happy with yesterday's win even if made it hard at the end!

HiHoToffee · 03/11/2019 21:11

The draw was a fair result for 2 poor teams. VAR was a farce and is ruining the game. I really don't know what to think about the red card, it was a rash tackle from behind that went horribly wrong.

Horrific for Andre Gomes, I felt sick watching it.
We have no luck at the moment.

WhiteHartLane · 03/11/2019 21:53

Awful injury to Gomes and i hope he makes a full recovery.

VAR is worse than useless, costing teams (admittedly some more than others) decisions/points every week.

Listened to the game on fivelive and it was dire. Both teams can play so much better than that.

HiHoToffee · 04/11/2019 15:26

The club put up a statement that Andre Gomes underwent surgery to repair a fracture dislocation to his right ankle earlier today and the procedure went extremely well. He is expected to make a full recovery.

⚽️💙

HiHoToffee · 10/11/2019 12:14

We won an away game Grin

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 10/11/2019 12:59

:-D hurrah!!! Don't think what was said about the Brighton penalty comes as any shock...

After the crazy game of Tuesday nice to have a calm game..

Oblomov19 · 10/11/2019 13:04

Can't believe how poor Spurs are. Awful. Sad

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 10/11/2019 17:07

I'm surprised!! Especially after last season. Though guess if don't add it effects?

Jose been rumour linked with Spurs and Arsenal. Know neither have sacked the manager but be interesting to see what happens.

Just hope Chelsea good start continues.

WhiteHartLane · 10/11/2019 18:32

I hope Spurs keep Poch. His subs and team selections have been a bit questionable at times but I still feel he is the right man for the job. He just needs to go back to basics and spend big in Jan Grin

Great wins for Everton and Chelsea. Chelsea are doing much better than I thought they would.

City lost Sad

HiHoToffee · 10/11/2019 18:35

And more VAR controvesy in that match too
Cough Liverpool were the better team though cough

WhiteHartLane · 19/11/2019 20:02

Cannot believe Spurs have sacked Poch based on a few months of poor form. After what he has done for the club over the past 5 years a little bit more time wasn't too much to ask. I am really unhappy with this decision. Expect Jose will be in charge by Saturday Sad.
