pulling my hair out trying to book tickets atm

trying to book - tickets have got through to the requesting stage but time waiting varies between 7 mins then goes back to at least 15 ...I am wasting my energies are there any likelihoods of getting tickets????

Well it can't be hard seeing as they're probably only putting 1 or 2 up at a time

To count them I mean. Someone just give me some tickets dammit!

So many times now I have got to the 'reserving tickets', and a wait of 1 or 2 minutes, and it comes to nothing.

I actually got excited tonight as I had a wait of 10 mins, and thought I might be getting somewhere ! I thought "ooh, if it's taking that long, perhaps they are counting them out by hand".

You gotta laugh.

They should just release them at set times during the day. It's all very well saying they don't want the site overloaded, but surely it is anyway? You've got people staying on for hours and refreshing every minute and then logging in from multiple devices. Press were reporting 2.5m hits yesterday - I probably accounted for about 5% of that all by myself

I agree. Out of interest earlier, I tried buying all of the twelve supposedly available ticket. I only tried to get one of each ticket to see if I could get past the 'requesting tickets' phase. I could only do this on 5 of the tickets - so 50% of the supposedly available tickets on the website are not there at all!

I think the design of the website is terrible. The fact that the filters are poor, (I'm interested in Rhythmic, Artistic Gymnastics and if that's not possible, some kind of swimming - synchronised, diving or just normal swimming. There's no way to filter that down, so I either have to choose or search for everything.

Why can't the website display how many tickets are available? My local theatre does this, so you can hedge your bets and choose the tickets you stand the best chance with. This should be on the first page, not making you click into each event, before you can see whether there are any tickets still there... There is so much that is wrong with the website design...

And don't even get me started on the fact that the tickets I have tried to buy over the past week were blatantly empty today!! I could see 2 suites at the O2 were completely empty - that's over 30 odd tickets. Its a different issue I know...

LadyLetch, if you put in a date range you don't have to select a sport.

I agree Lady- anyone wanting to see rhythmic gymnastics would go to artistic gymnastics too!

The thing is, that it makes out that all the sessions are gone, only to put them up again later that day, or night, or the following day.

It makes it look more and more like they want to flog the expensive tickets, rather than get bums on seats, which from what I have seen, even today in the gym, they should be more interested in.

I was very watching the BBC news today, with some reporter bloke talking about how this is the 'people's olympics'....and how it has been made special by all the visitor's, mainly Londoner's making it so good. Really ?

No more talk of empty seats, or anything. I was staggered by the empty seats at the tennis yesterday on tv. Would you ever believe that Wimby would be a 3rd empty when Roger Federer and/or Andy Murray is playing ?

An ex-colleague of mine today got closing ceremony tix for £150 each just 2 but when I looked weeks ago all that was available were priced at £995!

They are selling tix for Hyde park to watch closing ceremony for £60 per person - WTF why would you stand in a muddy field and watch on a tv screen ok they may have fireworks but I'll take the comfort of my own home over paying that to stand in a wet field!!!

Can I ask others, how many tickets you are requesting ? I was just wondering if I am actually mad thinking I could get 4 tickets for £50 ? Maybe they just aren't there at all ?

Got into the dratted 'requesting tickets/reserving tickets' again but still no luck ?

Maybe they are only selling them in 2, even though you can request 4 ?

I given up wanted to take dd and ds3 but since I need disabled space they won't allow me to book as obviously at 9 and 7 I can't sit one on their own and not allowed both with me

Oh and paraolympics same prOblem infact they not increased amount of wheelchair spaces
