Jesus woman that could be an infected Bartholin's cyst, suggest you call 111 you might need treatment. Friend of mine nearly died when one burst. Seriously do not mess with it!

I've had Bartholin;s cyst problems and they were agony. Though mine burst and it was a relief - disgusting though - lots of greeny yellow pus. Make sure you have plenty of salt baths.

It's Sporner Corner And it's not any grosser than any other pus for having come out of her nethers.

Yes I just seen it on the usual headings on mumsnet, I didn't even know there was a sporners corner I literally just thought someone posted that randomly on here, I didn't even know what sporning was but I've worked it out now.

Maybe MN need to keep Sporner corner off Trending so the snowflakes dont get traumatised.

I think the OP may have thought she didn't need advice, just sharing a sporny, but it does sound like it needs monitoring. I'm more Oh dear than Yuk.

(saying that as someone who used to go faint at being ambushed by my mum showing me her latest ulcer on her gums, and one who like a bit of spot squeezing)

I don't think it is a bartholins' cyst. I've had one before- they're not usually on the surface. It seems like a spot that got out of hand with itself.
I was in a hot bath, I had salt water and swabs. I've been careful but I do have antibiotics on standby (prescribed them for someat else and didn't take them). We should be a bit more wary of antibiotics I think. They're wonderful things but to take them when they're not definitely needed isn't a good idea. You never know when your body might desperately need them.

It's a lot less painful now and I'll salt water swab it before I sleep. Why no antiseptic cream?
