After years of probably having to watch all sorts of wonderful and occasional strange children’s TV shows, it’s hard to not ending up having favourites...whether you love them in secret or not.]] would like to know which children’s shows you are more than happy to watch with your DC and why they’ve become your favourite.

Here’s what ]] have to say: “Now it’s the summer holidays, more and more families are streaming children’s shows such as Shaun The Sheep, My Little Pony, The Penguins of Madagascar and Just Add Magic. It’s great when you find a show that you can enjoy that works for both child and parent, and we would love to know what these shows are for you and your family.”

Has Dora the Explorer been an all-time favourite of yours for years because you end up learning things too? Perhaps you love trying to figure out who the baddy is in Scooby-Doo along with your DC? Maybe seeing Tom & Jerry on the screen always brings back some great nostalgic memories of when you were a child? Or do you love Postman Pat purely for the great theme tune?

Whatever your favourite children’s programme is, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

Hey Duggee

RiSo · 12/08/2018 08:15

Numberjacks and Alphablocks were always good, and Mister Maker, anything that teaches them something is better than the mindless cartoons!

tallandlong · 12/08/2018 08:21

i watch old looney tunes cartoons online, we all love them

start100 · 12/08/2018 08:22

I like smart children cartoons like Charlie & Lola or Winnie the Pooh.

Lindseymorris29 · 12/08/2018 08:28

Peppa pig. I love the cheeky references to silly old daddy pig. And Mrs rabbit with her millions of jobs.

Clairecricket1 · 12/08/2018 08:28

Horrible Histories as i seem to learn something new myself

SSCRASE123 · 12/08/2018 08:37

Ben and Holly for me, I think there is some quite clever humour in there. Peppa Pig though never fails to annoy me, I can't stand her !.

tabbaz123 · 12/08/2018 08:39

I think the programmers and writers actually often put little 'adult humour's adult twists in their programmes and I have a little chuckle every so often. I even like Fireman Sam (Elvis is so funny)

abby12321 · 12/08/2018 08:49

Dora!

LauraMMM · 12/08/2018 08:52

I secretly love Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom however it isn't my children's favourite so its not on as much! I like the little tunes and the voices, the characters are all colourful and happy. I suppose it could be nostalgia as when i was a child i was obsessed with anything fairy and ladybird like so maybe deep down it is something to do with my childlike interests. However my son loves peppa pig and i cant STAND it, my daughter is getting into Scooby Doo but my brother had it on all the time when we were younger so watched the same episodes over and over.

happysouls · 12/08/2018 08:55

The Simpsons is brilliant as it has so many levels so it holds appeal for all ages.

mrsstapletonwannabe · 12/08/2018 08:56

I used to love Dino Dan and dinosaur train, not seen them for a while, right now it's all fireman Sam, which I find quite funny in parts!

wonderstuff16 · 12/08/2018 09:06

Ben and Holly's Magic Kingdom.

toolazytothinkofausername · 12/08/2018 09:08

I love my soap operas, so obviously my favourite children's tv program is In The Night Garden. You have the lady of the night Upsy Daisy trying to seduce everyone by lifting her skirt. Iggle Piggle sometimes wants some action (I swear I've seen him have an erection a few times) by leaving his bed near Upsy Daisy but only wants casual action definitely not looking for a relationship. You have the polygamous Tomleboos who love stripping off in front of each other. You get to watch the worst parents in history- the pontipines who need to be seen by social services. Poor Maka Paka shows us all what happens if society turns their back on those with poor mental health. Who needs Love Island when you have this flirt feast!

allumsadventures · 12/08/2018 09:09

I enjoy Topsy and Tim.

Flamingdinosaur · 12/08/2018 09:12

I don't know why but I quite like Biggleton - maybe its the Biggle Wiggle Confused

HRoosevelt · 12/08/2018 09:20

Operation ouch...interesting and funny. I learn stuff!

kittykomp · 12/08/2018 09:28

Sponge bob square pants but it's no secret :)

Marg2k8 · 12/08/2018 09:33

My children are older now, so I don't know what TV programmes are on TV now. I don't remember ever actually enjoying them myself, but my children used to like bananas in pyjamas.

Dormouse1940 · 12/08/2018 09:42

My son watches things that I loved as a kid: Pingu and Camberwick Green (it's ok, I'm not actually that old lol)
I also secretly like the alphablocks, I feel a spiritual affinity for the letter 'T' with his constant tea drinking :D

Miles away from Peppa sodding Pig, which I grew to loathe with such a passion that when we moved house last year we explained that Peppa lived at the old house and we couldn't watch it anymore. I fully appreciate that that makes me seems like a horrible parent, but I promise DS was totally unfazed by this! (And it saved my sanity. It was worth the expense and stress of a cross-country relocation just to never have to hear or see that spoilt, snorting brat on the screens anymore!)

sammie1884 · 12/08/2018 09:46

I secretly love watching Regular Show!

Treaclespongeandcustard · 12/08/2018 09:48

I enjoy observing Flops parents skills and am inspired by his one liners and endless patience. Sometimes I even ‘blow out my angry’ like he tells bing Grin

janeyf1 · 12/08/2018 09:50

Peter Rabbit because it makes me feel nostalgic

phillie1 · 12/08/2018 09:51

Barney, the purple dinosaur!

007hel · 12/08/2018 09:52

Shaun The Sheep and Mr Bean Grin
