This thread is now closed

Entering parenthood can be overwhelming, to say the very least. And while just about everyone and their uncle will have an opinion on what’s best for your baby, there’s nobody as in the know as Mumsnetters. That’s why Lidl would love you to share your favourite products from their new and improved baby range, Lupilu, just in time for their upcoming Maternity and Baby Wear Week, which kicks off in store on 10 June.

Here’s what Lidl have to say: “Whether it's your first or your fifth, having a baby is a wonderful, exciting and slightly nerve-wracking adventure. Lupilu is our award-winning baby range. We’re proud to offer all the essentials to follow you and your little one through their early years, including nappies in a range of sizes and nutritious meals, snacks and purées for each stage of the weaning process.”

Take a look at their baby range here and tell us which are your favourite Lupilu products and why. Maybe Lidl’s baby wipes have you seen you through many an ahem… sticky situation; their baby shampoo is the only thing that doesn’t irritate your little one’s skin, or their organic carrot sticks are your throw-in-your-handbag-and-keep-everyone-happy snacking saviour.

Whether you’re a Lupilu newbie or a long-time lover of Lidl’s baby range, post your top finds on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck!

I love the wipes, they are moist and easily used for all sorts.

Someaddedsugar · 15/06/2018 20:04

I went into our local Lidl yesterday and purchased a whole outfit from the Lupilu range for our niece (18 months) and got 2 pairs of leggings, a dress and underwear set and some hair grips for less than a fiver, along with some shorts for our son for 99p! Amazing value and great quality and would totally recommend!!

revelsandrose · 15/06/2018 20:24

I'm on baby number 3 and only discovered the lupilu nappies thanks to a trial through MN. I'm totally converted, wish I'd discovered them sooner, equivalent thinness and absorbency to pampers in my opinion and much cheaper. I always pop in for a pack and the fun size fruit and veg are always a hit too!

3boysandabump · 15/06/2018 21:43

Nappies used to be really good but they've been changed recently and now aren't as good in sizes larger than 2.

WheresTheCoffee · 15/06/2018 21:54

Their baby wipes are brilliant!

spudfield · 16/06/2018 04:39

When my kids were small I loved the nappies and pull ups, but that was before they were called lupilu. The clothing is great, we live on a farm and find the outdoors wear to be excellent, the boots, winter coats and waterproof trousers are the match of any premium brand with features from "expensive" jackets (and at a fraction of the price) .

SweetPeaPods · 16/06/2018 07:11

The new pull up pants/nappies are brilliant. Lovely and soft and very good price too.

ipswichwitch · 16/06/2018 07:24

The wipes are very good - even get coffee stains off the carpet! And I agree with a pp with regard to the outdoor gear. DS2 had a pair of the snow boots beginning of this year and they were great. Completely waterproof, comfortable and very warm. I’ll be gettin them again for this winter.

Amaksy · 16/06/2018 12:40

Oh wow its the nappies and nappy pants. They're amazing and really premium quality at affordable price. The Stage 1 fruit puree pouches also go down a treat and very handy when out and about. The banana and apple is tiny and fits great in lunchbox.

Celticlassie · 16/06/2018 17:55

I really like the baby vests. Very light for this time of year and lovely patterns.

biscuiteer · 16/06/2018 23:46

No hesitation, the baby clothes are brilliant value. Super soft 100% cotton, they wash and wear really really well. The baby vests are the best I have and the generous but snug fit sizing means my ds has been using the same grows for 6 months and still fitting them well. I really recommend the long sleeved baby vests ( ds is in 12-24m size) for durability, quality and comfort.
Family have gifted some fab finds in the Lupilu baby and kids clothing, from lovely cardigans to waterproofs, which both my children love too.

Aftereights91 · 17/06/2018 08:00

I love the nappies

dragontwo · 17/06/2018 08:45

definitely the wipes - amazing quality and cheap for the price

margaritasbythesea · 17/06/2018 15:33

The nappies are the best disposables I have found bar none. Leak free. Rash free.

AvocadoLovingMamaOfOne · 17/06/2018 19:54

We only use Lidl nappies now, and I always stock up on the xxl packs of wipes when they’re on offer as they’re the best wipes I’ve ever used. Also a big fan of the fruit pouches!

MyHomeHasPeculiarChildren · 17/06/2018 21:28

Have recently bought the Lupilu Muslins & think they're great. Really soft and really big! Very impressed for the price.

Highfever · 17/06/2018 21:43

We can't fault the nappies. Recommend the to everyone.

HeartshapedFox · 17/06/2018 21:53

I’ve been impressed with the whole Lupilu range - I’m currently on maternity leave with our second child and we are on a much tighter budget this time around. I love the nappies - like others have said they don’t leak or irritate my baby’s skin like other brands, the pull-ups are great for my toddler and the wipes smell lovely. The pouches have been a pleasant surprise (my baby will happily eat the chicken and veg one cold whilst out, so that’s really handy!) but my local Lidl often doesn’t have much else in stock - more flavours please, and more fruit ones!
The carrot snacks are also a hit, I bought them for weaning the baby but my toddler always steals them :-) Basically I started off buying most things due to our budget but now seek them out, especially the nappies.
So far I haven’t purchased any baby clothes or toiletries, so after reading these posts I’ll
give those a try too.

HeartshapedFox · 17/06/2018 21:58

Ooh I’ve just remembered - my husband did buy our toddler the waterproof trousers about 2 weeks before The Beast from the East snowstorm earlier this year and they were AMAZING. No whinging about being cold and wet, just lots of snow fun in the garden.

Pitapotamus · 17/06/2018 23:30

Their organic carrot sticks are delicious!

Jaderice21 · 18/06/2018 14:09

really love the new range of dinners my son loves them the nappies and wipes all great too i highly recommend to all

PrinceOfCheeses · 18/06/2018 20:25

We used the nappies and the wipes. I wish Lidl woud change their branding to not say "great for mum" or whatever it says on the billboards. Men change nappies too thanks.

VickyRsuperstar · 19/06/2018 04:34

I was really pleased to find the baby event and my best find was the nursing bras. I've had to stick with some ancient ones I had for my older children as I couldn't bring myself to spend £30 or more on a single bra - it seemed so much money. The ones in Lidl were only £4.99 which was brilliant. I also like the leggings I got for my baby daughter as they were great quality and only £2.99 for 2! When I was pregnant, I bought several pairs of black maternity leggings and a black maternity dress from their range and I believe they were only £4.99 each, so way below what other stores were charging and the quality was amazing! I also use their nappies because they are so inexpensive and the quality is good.

1moreRep · 19/06/2018 06:11

the wipes and nappies- by far the best on the market

wineandcheeseplease · 19/06/2018 06:17

Like the nappies and they are a good price
