This thread is now closed

Entering parenthood can be overwhelming, to say the very least. And while just about everyone and their uncle will have an opinion on what’s best for your baby, there’s nobody as in the know as Mumsnetters. That’s why Lidl would love you to share your favourite products from their new and improved baby range, Lupilu, just in time for their upcoming Maternity and Baby Wear Week, which kicks off in store on 10 June.

Here’s what Lidl have to say: “Whether it's your first or your fifth, having a baby is a wonderful, exciting and slightly nerve-wracking adventure. Lupilu is our award-winning baby range. We’re proud to offer all the essentials to follow you and your little one through their early years, including nappies in a range of sizes and nutritious meals, snacks and purées for each stage of the weaning process.”

Take a look at their baby range here and tell us which are your favourite Lupilu products and why. Maybe Lidl’s baby wipes have you seen you through many an ahem… sticky situation; their baby shampoo is the only thing that doesn’t irritate your little one’s skin, or their organic carrot sticks are your throw-in-your-handbag-and-keep-everyone-happy snacking saviour.

Whether you’re a Lupilu newbie or a long-time lover of Lidl’s baby range, post your top finds on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck!

I found the breatfeeding pillow and baby clothes to be fantastic. We use the nappies, pull ups, wipes and nappy sacks and they are all reliable and good value for money.

Flamingdinosaur · 11/06/2018 19:54

The Lupilu nappies, wipes and baby bath are firm favourites here. We used to use Pampers but for the price, the Lupilu nappies are much better value.

MummyBtothree · 12/06/2018 10:48

I love the baby wipes. They are great value for money and extremely handy. I even keep a packet handy in the car glove compartment for sticky fingers!

koalab · 12/06/2018 10:50

Every time there are baby clothes in stock I buy a load. They are great quality and wash really well. The fruit pouches still go down well with my 18 month old who won't eat solid food when teething.
The nappies I didn't get on with when my DD was smaller, but I think I will give them a go again.

2infinity · 12/06/2018 11:47

I really love Lidl pull ups, however not a fan of the nappies! Weird!

BillywigSting · 12/06/2018 11:49

The clothes are lovely, very soft, wash well and very cheap. The sizes aren't enormous too which we have found to be a problem with our very slight ds. They have nice designs too.

The baby food is OK in a pinch but wasn't overly impressed with the nappies, especially overnight, and the wipes gave ds a rash (but he ridiculously sensitive skin and is sporting a rash from something more often than not. I like the wipes for freshening up though, especially now the weather is getting warm)

The toddler snacks are brilliant

Teaspoon74 · 12/06/2018 17:36

I love the baby clothing from Lupilu - particularly the fasten-across/ kimono style bodysuits. I must have bought at least thirty of them in different sizes and colours in the last year. So good. Comfortable. Easy to get on and off. Wash well. And very very reasonably priced!

The sound books are great too - Incy Wincey Spider is a favourite!

And the baby fruit pouches and yoghurt rice cakes are life savers - we are just back from a three week honeymoon overseas and one case was virtually full of Lidl baby products!

Leggs11xo · 12/06/2018 18:24

I like the range but haven't tried the baby food as I am concered about how clean the factory would be where they make it. I'm sure it is probably fine but I don't really want to risk it.

wedothebestbbqs · 12/06/2018 18:52

Baby food looks good, and I have heard good things about the nappies and wipes , we are soon having a store open in our city!

BaldricksTrousers · 12/06/2018 20:24

Lidl have always had the best nappies, hands down. Used them with DD for ages. Most coverage and fewer leaks, even compared to the 'high end' nappy brands :)

Gljenkins · 12/06/2018 23:52

I can only use the nappies size 5 for my little boy there perfect don’t leak and he’s extremely active!!! I also like the handy food pouches for on the go :)

MumzieMel · 13/06/2018 08:47

Nappies are spot on now, tried the toujour range a few years back and Confused fruit pouches are also good as a refreshing snack.

katiewalters · 13/06/2018 09:39

I recently tried the nappies. I have never tried anything from the baby range at lidl before. I was pleasantly surprised. They are a lot cheaper than the brand I usually use, had no problems with leaking. Only thing I did notice, was so touch they were not as soft as the brand I usually use, and a couple of times I had a tab come off, and I didn't pull it particularly hard. But over all, good and the price is brill

Babycarmen · 13/06/2018 18:37

I think the nappies are really good, been using them for a while. Also their nappy sacks are fab!

foxessocks · 14/06/2018 07:22

The nappies and wipes are great

LadyFuchsiaGroan · 14/06/2018 07:27

I am really impressed by the nappies and I love the clothing range for babies, great value for money. I picked up a nursing bra when I was pregnant and it has been invaluable (I can't believe how cheap it was though!)

The new range of baby food and snacks looks good too, even though I'll probably stick to making most of my own it will be handy to be able to grab things when we are out and about.

Missushb · 14/06/2018 12:57

Fantastic value pull ups

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 14/06/2018 19:48

We bought some jersey bottoms for DS; the pattern was cute (clouds), they were very soft, and they wash really well 😎

Battenburg1978 · 14/06/2018 20:10

I'm a huge fan of Lidl baby products (and Lidl in general!). I find the nappies brilliant on my DD and all the Lupilu clothing I've bought over the past 18 months has done really well and is great value. We don't really use baby food as DD would never eat pouches. In my local Lidl Dentinox gel is 99p and calpol is also cheaper per 100ml than the large bottle available from behind the counter in boots. They sell branded formula milk which looks cheaper than boots but it could be because the package is smaller (DD was a bottle refuser so I've not looked into it closely). Baby bath and shampoo great too. I use Aldi wipes as at the moment I slightly prefer them. Not Lupilu, but we also love the big 1kg pots of Greek yoghurt. Also toys when they are in stock, I've got a cool wood/felt play salad set out away for Christmas. Recently I saw a new line of baby meals but I've not tried them. My feedback for Lidl would be keep up the great work and effort with your products!!

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 14/06/2018 20:17

I love the nappies for my new born. They compare to the leading brands and have a witness indicator

Mossiebonbon · 14/06/2018 21:54

think lulipu do the clothes range too - some really nice designs for little ones!

QueenOfPharts · 14/06/2018 22:56

I love the nappies and pull ups not only are they better than other supermarkets own, they are very well priced. I like the organic pouches of baby food again v well priced. I must try the wipes next.

EsmeeMerlin · 14/06/2018 23:13

I like the nappies and wipes and their baby snacks.

Gesu · 15/06/2018 07:31

The pull ups! Didn't try the nappies but was very happy when they did pull ups. Sooo much cheaper and good too.

Nsmum14 · 15/06/2018 12:02

the nappies and pull ups are incredibly good value.
