This thread is now closed

Entering parenthood can be overwhelming, to say the very least. And while just about everyone and their uncle will have an opinion on what’s best for your baby, there’s nobody as in the know as Mumsnetters. That’s why Lidl would love you to share your favourite products from their new and improved baby range, Lupilu, just in time for their upcoming Maternity and Baby Wear Week, which kicks off in store on 10 June.

Here’s what Lidl have to say: “Whether it's your first or your fifth, having a baby is a wonderful, exciting and slightly nerve-wracking adventure. Lupilu is our award-winning baby range. We’re proud to offer all the essentials to follow you and your little one through their early years, including nappies in a range of sizes and nutritious meals, snacks and purées for each stage of the weaning process.”

Take a look at their baby range here and tell us which are your favourite Lupilu products and why. Maybe Lidl’s baby wipes have you seen you through many an ahem… sticky situation; their baby shampoo is the only thing that doesn’t irritate your little one’s skin, or their organic carrot sticks are your throw-in-your-handbag-and-keep-everyone-happy snacking saviour.

Whether you’re a Lupilu newbie or a long-time lover of Lidl’s baby range, post your top finds on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck!

Been using Lupilu since before the name change; find the new adverts fantastic.

Recently upgraded to 4+ nappies for nighttime's which have stopped any leakages. The lupilu was the only nappy I rated other than Boots. Beats rest of supermarkets hands down. Much cheaper too;

Love the pouches and trays of food; would love a few more flavours.

Someaddedsugar · 06/06/2018 22:16

We love the nappies - fantastic value for money!

Someaddedsugar · 06/06/2018 22:17

We also love the Lupilu baby clothing when it’s available as it is so soft

asuwere · 06/06/2018 23:05

Having just looked at the range, the organic food pouches look great value, I would definitely buy them if I had a younger child.

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 07/06/2018 07:17

We love the clothes. 100% organic cotton and so soft. The patterns and colours are lovely and the waist bands are comfy.

The sizes are very big though!

CurrentCurrant · 07/06/2018 07:26

I like the pull ups but if it counts my best finds are the Lupilu splash suits and waterproof dungarees.
We spend a lot of time outdoors and their waterproofs are easily as good as the big brands, fleece lined under the shell, and have survived being passed to multiple children . Plus they’re about a fifth of the price of other males. We even use them on British seaside holidays

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 07/06/2018 12:02

Their nappies are great, they keep my baby dry all night and they are cheap.

FoofFighter · 07/06/2018 13:46

Even though dc is almost 5 I still buy lupilu wipes for out and about. A travel sized pack would be ace if you're listening Lidl!

CleopatrasMum · 07/06/2018 14:03

I think the wipes are great - strong and not too wet or dry (a problem I have had with other brands). The nappies are great but I think it is a shame that the range does not include size 4/4+ pull ups. DS is a runner and has been for ages and being able to get pull ups at an earlier stage would really enhance the brand for me.

Not part of the usual range, but I really like the Lupilu clothes that come out from time to time, especially the leggings they do in muted colours. They are soft and much lighter and more comfortable for DS than track suit bottoms or baby jeans which tend to be targeted at boy babies. They also have wide ankle cuffs so don't need to be rolled up at the bottom until he grows into them. I appreciate I could buy him leggings from a girls' range, and he does wear some of DD's old ones, but the Lupilu ones feel softer and seem more roomy round the legs somehow.

sharond101 · 07/06/2018 14:26

Love the nappies and the fruit pouches.

NoParticularPattern · 07/06/2018 16:50

The nappies are fab and so are the clothes- although the clothes are really really long! Even for my off the scale length baby!! Means they last longer though I suppose.

BuntyII · 07/06/2018 20:22

I love the organic cotton baby clothes, they wash really well. The wrap over vests are brilliant for young babies and the wee joggys are soft and comfortable.

icelollycraving · 07/06/2018 20:33

The pull ups are brilliant. I kick myself at how much we spent on pampers before as I wanted a decent known brand. Ds has a bladder complaint and so wears pull ups at night. Very rare to have leaks and he’s never had any soreness although he has sensitive skin.
Really brilliant but when you rebranded earlier this year, we couldn’t get the pull ups for love nor money. When we found them back in stock, we stocked up for months!
Very reasonably priced but great quality. I always recommend them to my friends too.

katmarie · 07/06/2018 21:48

Love the nappies, they are my first choice for nappies for my 4month old ds. I also really like the nappy sacks, they come in a really good little dispenser pack and they are a substantial size too. Now they have been rebranded as lupilu though the nappy sacks are hard to spot next to the wipes!

del2929 · 07/06/2018 23:15

the nappies we have used in the past and they were ok

Pressuredrip · 08/06/2018 01:40

The first poster who said the nappies are rough, I wonder if you only tried the newborn ones? I was surprised they weren't as soft as the ones in bigger sizes. I love the bigger sizes ones as they are so soft, though I find Pampers the softest. Lidl nappies are my second favourite after Pampers and I've tried every other type. Alas, I've stopped buying them at the moment as my skinny toddler won't stay still to have one on unless there is at least one other adult around to help, and I've resorted to pull up nappies. I'm really sad that there are no Lupilu pull on nappies from
size 4. Never had an issue with tabs.

The wipes are great. We buy a lot of them, but Huggies are my favourite as I always need less of them, they don't smear poo around.

I'm disappointed there is no baby food suitable for my vegetarian baby with a milk allergy, other than carrot crisps and fruit pouches. Some more baby and toddler food variety would be great.

The bath products are ok, but more drying than others, I prefer Childs Farm and Asda Little Angels.

Agree about the baby clothes being great, and the Lupilu waterproofs are the best in the market. We have had some great Polarn O Pyret waterproofs but why pay the extortionate price when Lupilu do the job just as well for a fraction of the price? I always recommend them to other parents at forest school, which we go to in all weathers.

Pressuredrip · 08/06/2018 01:42

My OH told me they don't sell nappy sacks anymore when I've asked him to pick some up, I need to go and double check for myself now thanks Katmarie.

biffyboom · 08/06/2018 10:07

It has to be the nappies. My favourite brand for my daughter by a mile.

voyager50 · 08/06/2018 10:20

There nappy sacks were great value.

They have them on their website Pressuredrip by the way.

katmarie · 08/06/2018 13:00

@Pressuredrip I had to hunt for them a bit, they are next to the wipes, but look very much the same as the sensitive wipes if I remember rightly, similar colour and pack shape. The toujours ones were in a bright purple pack, much easier to spot!

SandysMam · 08/06/2018 14:03

Love the pull-ups and the wipes. My favourite are the organic cotton baby clothes if ever they are in stock!

sarat1 · 08/06/2018 18:39

My baby enjoys the stage 2 pouches

GetKnitted · 08/06/2018 21:14

I would have said nappy sacks
www.lidl.co.uk/en/Non-Food-Offers.htm?articleId=12719
But these days i would probably just worry about the plastic

ohdearwhatcanthematterbee · 08/06/2018 23:31

I also love the nappies and the food pouches... don't know why anyone wastes money on pampers when these are a fraction of the price and better!

ifigoup · 09/06/2018 06:48

We have a footie sleepsuit that my DC wears. It’s cream with little dots and really, really soft. What I especially like about it is that the poppers go down one side and one leg, so it’s much easier not to popper up wrongly! The sizing is a bit crazy, though: it’s labelled as 12-24 months and only now fits my 75th centile two-year-old.
