Pasta salad.... chopped bacon and mushrooms cooked, added to cooked pasta, tomatoes, onion, mayo and paprika. So so good. Eaten with a green salad.

sezz35 · 26/01/2018 17:25

Lasagne, shepherds pie, casserole, roast dinner, pasta ragu. All made from scratch.

As many Home cooked meals as possible - slow cooks, sausage and mash, meatballs and spaghetti, cottage pie, stir fries. We do like to keep things varies but also simple after a long day at work!

Chilli, omelettes and pasta bakes are three meals that are staples in my house!

littlemonkeyz · 26/01/2018 19:18

Our go-to meals are chicken roast as everyone in the family likes it (we have Yorkshire puddings with it too!) and I make a quick and easy chilli but with Roast Sweet Potato instead of mince. It's really versatile and can be served with baked potatoes, rice or tacos etc.

Various pastas in our house. DD loves macaroni cheese, DS will go for ravioli, so both of these are always in the freezer on standby.

Abominus · 26/01/2018 19:57

I've try to cook from scratch as often as possible like my mum always did for us. The kids are pretty good when it comes to dinner. They love risotto, i do it with honey roasted vegetables and chicken marinated in white wine, garlic, olive oil, thyme and peppercorns. But they also love homemade burgers and chips.

We are big pasta eaters and find it so quick and easy to cook especially having been at work and kids having after school activities, so perfect for adding veg, cold meat to or a tomato sauce with some garlic bread.

littleme96 · 26/01/2018 20:36

Sausage pasta! A tomato sauce made with passata, garlic, chilli flakes and whatever else we fancy throwing in and chopped sausages with a bit of grated cheese on top. My son's favourite!

My children are fussy eaters but a roast chicken dinner always goes down well, as does a curry.
