Always have less than 5%fat mince, great for meals in a hurry, spag bog, chilli, shepherds pie.
Also have pasta which can be so versatile, macaroni, pasta bake, chicken alfredo.
We like basic, tasty homemade food.

Family staples are slow cooked brisket, chicken paella, curry, spaghetti Bolognese, Moroccan fish tagine, fish pie, jacket potatoes with a variety of toppings. My granddaughter asked if I would make her a cottage pie last weekend and it went down well!

Spaghetti bolognese and vegetable Lasagne are on the menu most weeks. In fact anything pasta baked goes down well in our house as does a roast chicken dinner.

I make a veggie spag bol using lentils instead of mince... I usually cook a big batch and it does as a pasta sauce for one night, and then I add some spices and beans/pulses to make a veggie chilli for another night, served with jacket spuds, wedges or garlic bread.

Healthy, cheap and so easy to do.

In the winter we eat a lot of casseroles. I pack then full of chunky veg and the do some mash. They are different every time as it depends on what meat and veg I have but everyone loves it and I can cook it in advance and then reheat for tea.

With different meal times it's difficult to get together for a big family meal. We do try a couple of times a week though and favourites are a big Quorn Cottage Pie with peas and gravy, or a Quorn pasta Bolognese.

My son has a few meals he will eat but have to be the same brand each time for example
Salmon fish pie and Quiche from Aldi
Quorn meatballs with spaghetti
Linday Mcartney Veggie Burgers
Pizza this is the only thing doesn't matter which shop it comes from!

only veg he will eat are Broccoli, Peas and sweetcorn. So our meals are pretty repeative.

Wraps:

Chicken diced, bacon strips, pepper strips, cucumber diced, tomatoes diced, sliced mushrooms, rice.

Salsa sauce or mayo spread onto the wrap and then help yourself to fillings. We all love this easy dish and it's also very filling.

Shepherds/Cottage pie is always a winner in our house, or loose potato pie with pastry squares. Everyone likes them and they keep you warm on a cold winters night so all good for this time of year.

My staple family meals are fairly standard: spaghetti bolognese, shepherds pie, pasta bakes and the like.

Mystery stir fry is amazing. All the fridge veg that is left at the bottom throughout the week, fried up with some honey and soy sauce, maybe a bit of ginger or chilli and served with noodles!
I usually have some roast meat left which gets chucked in too :)

Lidl is great for cheaper veg and cuts of meat as these are ideal for a last minute stir fry

Quorn, pasta and kidney beans is our go to meal. Quick and healthy and simple and, best of all, everyone loves it!

Our staple meals are a mixture of traditional meals, such as Cottage Pie, roast beef on Sundays, chicken, pork chops through the week, along with dishes such as lasagne or pasta of some sort.

I usually try to cook from scratch, and when making these dishes I try and make enough for two meals, and freeze one to make a little less work.
