The time has come for the insight team at MNHQ to do our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year!

(In case you don't know insight covers surveys, product events, product tests and sponsored threads on MN, as well as bloggers reviews, and reviewers recruitment)

Read on for the chance to win...
~ A £100 giftcard to spend at M&S or
~ one of four £50 giftcards for Bella Italia

In 2014, we have given away around £40,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers but also including plumbing jobs, products but also Cetraben excema cream!

The range of products you have tested and given feedback on is as varied as ever – from Miele vacs, TomTom’s Go 5000 sat nav and Microsoft's Lumia 735, Xbox One Console and Linx tablet to Barny cakes and Ambrosia mini pots!

Plus we were thrilled when Mumsnetters had help getting pregnant by participating in the Clearblue Ovulation Test with Dual Hormone Indicator product test Smile.

We have also run some extremely popular threads, enabling you to have your say on wider political issues such as the Scottish Referendum and the Cabinet Office. And really, who would have thought porridge was SUCH an engaging topic?!

We love meeting you face to face – and giving you the chance to experiences something new – from preview screenings of Annie to the family holidays at Butlins and Haven.

And loads of you enjoyed breakfast at Bella Italia with your family and recently some of you had a ‘behind the scenes’ visit to M&S.

There was even the chance to test drive the Renault Zoe, to see the videos click here

For a chance to win one of the vouchers, please share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about. Or tell us what you’d to product test next year?

Most of the product tests are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely (and fast growing) insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do insight sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Grin
Happy Christmas!
AnnMumsnet, LaurelMumsnet, AngelieMumsnet, MichelleMumsnet and KathrynMumsnet.

Think it was this year that we product trialled a Dyson - that was good and it's going strong although is so efficient that we're forever emptying it.

As a complete family with a tween and a teen, would welcome more insight product trials including hols aimed at those of us with older children. My recall was that virtually any/all of the holiday options were virtually ruled out for families with school-age children.

There is undoubtedly a market for many products for teens emerging into adulthood so would be good for families to trial some of those things.

Things like family railcards combined with an overnighter 'city trip' would be great.

Merry Christmas to all the lovely insight team Xmas Smile

My stand-out this year has to be the opportunity to spend the day on Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas, and discover how family friendly cruise ship can be (as well as being treated like VIPs).

My family adored their trip to the Annie preview - a fab film and bragging rights. It was fun to watch the stars on TV and have actually seen the movie beforehand.

Also, I enjoyed an impromptu visit to Mumsnet Towers to try out the Tassimo coffee maker and the range of drinks available - Costa, hot chocolate, even tea.

For the future - definitely a 'bra intervention' with some of the major stores, to compare and contrast the new and traditional measuring methods.

And, as parent of teens/tweens, there is definitely scope to focus on that age range, bunch of hardened and discerning consumers that they are!

Wow, that's a lot of giveaways and product tests!
I work full time and I enjoy doing the surveys as they can be done fairly easily in my lunch break.
I've done a few smaller product tests, like nappies for my toddler and pantyliners for me. I also like trying out new food products e.g. i did the kerry snack pack and flora margarine. I'd like more of these next year, because they're convenient for me and my family.

Wow that's a lot of prizes and product tests!
I work full time and I enjoy doing the surveys as they can be done easily in my lunch break.
I've also done some small product tests this year, again because they were convenient around my job. So I like the smaller tests like food items (I did Kerry snack pack and flora margarine) plus I've also tested pantyliners, and nappies for my toddler. More of those next year please!

BornToFolk · 22/12/2014 20:35

I've really enjoyed being on the Insight panel again this year. Thanks to Mumsnet and the sponsors for the opportunities!

My favourite thing this year was winning a prize on a sponsored thread for Andrex. I won enough toilet paper to keep DS and I going for at least a year! I've also really enjoyed spending the spa vouchers that I won on facials and massages.

Even if I don't take part in a product test I still often read the thread as I find it really interesting what other MNers make of the products.

I'd love to be picked for the Miele washing machine test as my washing machine is on its last legs.

mistymorningmemories · 22/12/2014 20:42

I've loved being part of the panel, I've done a few of the smaller product tests (nappies/ breast pads etc). I think my favourite has to have been the Bear alphabites, purely for the excitement that the packaging caused when it was delivered to work (and they tasted good too!!).

k8vincent · 22/12/2014 20:46

Thank you so much for letting us test the dishwasher. For 2 whole weeks I had really helpful children who were keen to help load and unload!

MonkeyPuzzler · 22/12/2014 20:53

I have tested nappies and the Cewe Photobook and won some moisturiser after commenting on a thread about eczema. I have also reviewed some books which are still being read often.

I would love to test or read reviews on days out / holidays, especially ones which go out of their way to accommodate children with SEN.

crimsonwitch · 22/12/2014 20:57

I love being on the panel, I have had a chance to try a number of things including toddler nappies, pantyliners, breakfast at frankie and bennies, and a baby-gate, which is worth its weight in gold with a toddler and a husky in the house. I look forward to more next year. would love to try out kitchen gadgets. I am a complete sucker for anything new that helps cooking be more fun.

Tzibeleh · 22/12/2014 21:26

The only test I've done this year is the steam cleaner. Well, I've received it, and have my eye on what I'm going to clean (shower tray, loos, oven - just for starters!) but can I get a moment to do it? Hmm At this rate I'll be scrubbing at 2am just to get my review in on time!

I enjoyed the porridge thread very much. Lots of deeeelicious ideas.

Tzibeleh · 22/12/2014 21:28

Oh, yes, I also tried the cereal. Bear something. It made me aware of an interesting new ingredient, coconut flower nectar.

Tzibeleh · 22/12/2014 21:37

We're well beyond that stage now, but several years ago would have liked the chance to test of home safety gadgetry. It's so difficult to know what you really need and which sort works better for you. By the time i'd found the right things I ended up with a sack of unused cupboard locks and other stuff.

(After extensive road testing I can tell you that magnetic cupboard locks are the best IMO.)

thewomaninwhite · 22/12/2014 21:48

We got to test the Miele vacumn. It's fab and the DC love the quietness of it. It has enabled me to actually use it in their presence! Thank you so much for that.

I have enjoyed taking part in lots of other surveys etc. The low low snack was yummy!

SunshineDaisiesButterMellow · 22/12/2014 22:08

I have to say a massive thank you for letting me try diet chef. I lost a stone in a month on the diet and it has kick started me into eating better. I've lost a further 7 lbs and friends and family are definitely starting to notice.

My daughter loved receiving the bear alphabites. She and my son enjoyed many bowls of cereal and still mess about with the magnets on the fridge.

CMOTDibbler · 22/12/2014 22:12

We've loved taking part in the panel this year. Ds(8) has got quite into the whole thing, and during the TomTom product test would suggest feedback 'mummy, tell the computer ladies that Serena could be better if'.

We probably enjoyed going to Annie the most, but I'm still using the Cetraben cream, and the Tomtom has been a revelation on how good it could be.

Ds would like to test more food Hmm, I'd be up for anything not baby related!

Keepcalmanddrinkmulledwine · 22/12/2014 22:21

We have been lucky enough to test the Alphabites and Barny Bears but the best test for us was/is the Sainsbury's mobile phone, which DD still uses.
I enjoy the sponsored threads and surveys and was lucky enough to win £250 John Lewis vouchers which was put towards a family iPad. Thanks ever so.

I'd love to test the Miele washing machine (fingers crossed).

I also think Mumsnetters would make great mystery shoppers, so that could be a way to expand.

Wow, astonished at the number of product tests. We too tried the new cereal, Alphabites, my DS loved them and I loved watching him get excited over trying new food.
Just trialling the steam mop, very excited Smile
I would like to continue trying anything that makes life easier!

Roseformeplease · 22/12/2014 22:47

I have had TWO amazing trials this year - YouView and FitBug, both of which have been great. I missed out on dozens too.

Agree with more trials that might involve teens more. I have 2 (one becomes such in the next fortnight) and both would love to get involved and, indeed, always have plenty to say on the things that I trial.

Thanks so much. Wonderful!

ShyPhilosopher · 23/12/2014 01:29

I was lucky enough to be picked for a Weight Watchers trial. I am so happy that it's gone far better than I could possibly have imagined. I've lost more than 2 stone, am no longer obese & it's really helped my confidence too. Am so grateful to Mumsnet & Weight Watchers.

Dottyhols · 23/12/2014 09:39

I enjoyed reading about the weight watchers trial. We didn't take part in any x

wonkylegs · 23/12/2014 11:59

We did the clearblue conception test and it was good to be involved in. I only gave partial feedback as unfortunately I suffered a miscarriage which quite understandably distracted me. However we will be using them again when we start trying again
I would be happy to test things again and give feedback.

Lulabellx1 · 23/12/2014 13:13

I have enjoyed all your competitions and have even had a couple of wins this year! Lovely stuff... keep throwing more competitions out way, they are great to keep me occupied during my lunch break at work :)

Khady · 23/12/2014 13:47

That's amazing!

I'd probably like more games-related or small ones like food items.
