The time has come for the insight team at MNHQ to do our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year!

(In case you don't know insight covers surveys, product events, product tests and sponsored threads on MN, as well as bloggers reviews, and reviewers recruitment)

Read on for the chance to win...
~ A £100 giftcard to spend at M&S or
~ one of four £50 giftcards for Bella Italia

In 2014, we have given away around £40,000 in prizes - mainly in the form of vouchers but also including plumbing jobs, products but also Cetraben excema cream!

The range of products you have tested and given feedback on is as varied as ever – from Miele vacs, TomTom’s Go 5000 sat nav and Microsoft's Lumia 735, Xbox One Console and Linx tablet to Barny cakes and Ambrosia mini pots!

Plus we were thrilled when Mumsnetters had help getting pregnant by participating in the Clearblue Ovulation Test with Dual Hormone Indicator product test Smile.

We have also run some extremely popular threads, enabling you to have your say on wider political issues such as the Scottish Referendum and the Cabinet Office. And really, who would have thought porridge was SUCH an engaging topic?!

We love meeting you face to face – and giving you the chance to experiences something new – from preview screenings of Annie to the family holidays at Butlins and Haven.

And loads of you enjoyed breakfast at Bella Italia with your family and recently some of you had a ‘behind the scenes’ visit to M&S.

There was even the chance to test drive the Renault Zoe, to see the videos click here

For a chance to win one of the vouchers, please share on this thread what you have enjoyed taking part in this year, or appreciated reading about. Or tell us what you’d to product test next year?

Most of the product tests are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely (and fast growing) insight research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please do insight sign up now. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it’s not for you.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Grin
Happy Christmas!
AnnMumsnet, LaurelMumsnet, AngelieMumsnet, MichelleMumsnet and KathrynMumsnet.

I enjoyed doing the Bella Italia breakfast
I would enjoy seeing more reviews of services rather than products..such as Supermarkets, furniture retailers and utility providers.

Eastpoint · 03/01/2015 05:47

I really enjoyed being on the panel, I was lucky enough to go on Oasis of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. My daughter who just reached 140cm was thrilled with our Thorpe Park tickets and we were lucky enough to be free for the Angry Birds Land launch which was great fun despite the steady rain. I have also been on the Chocolate panel but it's all hush hush. I've just remembered that we went to Metro Bank and again dd2 was entertained, she thinks MN is great and has apparently been defending it at school (who knew teens talked about MN). She even thinks one of her friend's mothers is on the chocolate panel by talking about the special gift last year (it's OK she only knows I'm on it, nothing else).

Eastpoint · 03/01/2015 05:49

Badkitten has reminded me about the NSPCC safety panel, I was on that & found it quite disturbing.

peaz · 03/01/2015 07:13

Was lucky enough to join the royal Carribean cruise ship (for a day) and it was fantastic. We were well looked after and it was a lovely experience.

I also took my boys to beefeater for the Mr Men day. My eldest is currently drawing every single Mr Man and Little Miss as a result!

I'm also reading reviews as and when the need arises and it's so useful. Im always a bit dubious about the authenticity of reviews, thinking they come from the actual company that is being reviewed but I know that on mumsnet it is not the case!

Trooperslane · 03/01/2015 12:40

I loved doing the organix one plus the baby products.

I'd loved to have been picked for the new app - ah well.

Also have won an amazing city print and £30 of amazon vouchers - been a good year!

X and O's to the lovely insight team.

starlight36 · 03/01/2015 15:09

We've tested quite a few products as a family this year from Ambrosia Pots, Flora Gold and some excellent body wash and hair de-tangling spray on the recent Baby and Toddler product test - probably the two most popular tests in the house.

I've been avidly reading the feedback on the Kaercher Steam Stick as am keen to see if the product is as good as it sounds.

I was also the very lucky winner of some shopping vouchers for posting feedback on one of the testing
threads.

Tw1nkle · 03/01/2015 15:30

id love to be a tester. ...

pillowaddict · 03/01/2015 21:06

I have been involved with testing pampers nappies in the past, and with DC2 on the way would love more opportunities to try out baby items, but also looking forward to opportunities to try out some experiences if the chance comes up in Scotland. Would love the chance to try out some DC friendly holidays/holiday related activities.

Fillybuster · 04/01/2015 00:23

I love MN product tests and the dcs (and dh) are always keen to get stuck into whatever we're lucky enough to be selected for. Sadly this hasn't been our lucky year, so didn't get to take part in anything except the Bear cereal - although we loved that one.

Even so, I love reading the product trial threads (even when I'm feeling green with envy...oh, how I would have loved to have been chosen for the TomTom or the Microsoft package!) and they're a great way to get an idea of what does and doesn't work well.

Please keep them coming...just please pull my name out of the hat more often in 2015!! Grin

xboxnovice · 04/01/2015 08:44

I'm on the chocolate panel but didn't get a special gift Sad I haven't had anything for months except surveys about walnut whips!

Eastpoint · 04/01/2015 13:44

xboxnovice my gift was last January I haven't received anything this year. It included... walnut whips.

Treaclepot · 04/01/2015 15:59

The one I most remember is the beat cereal. Tbh I was surprised by how much sugar (abet natural sugar) and how sweet they were.

I have enjoyed being on the panel, even the surveys are interesting.. plus i won some love2shop vouchers (we brought a new lawnmower with them) so that helps incentive wise!
we have tested out stair gates which were great, and other little things like BEAR alphabites, nappies and Stork magarine. Its all been fun and if i dont get through i always look on the feedback threads to see what im missing! things for next year, more theme parks as they looked great, weekends away, clothes and of course any food items welcome :)

Tortoise · 04/01/2015 21:37

I tested out a housetrip holiday to London with my 4 dc. It was a fantastic opportunity to visit London and my highlight was going in the choccy woccy doodah shop! Grin

sarahbanshee · 04/01/2015 23:56

Best opportunity by far was the Star Wars screening - DS loved it so much and taking his picture of himself with two Stormtroopers for show and tell the following week was one of his highlights of the year.

Sadly I was one of the testers who had a thoroughly awful experience at the Covent Garden Bella Italia but am still grateful for the chance to try it (and the kids still liked it!)

More food tests this year would be very welcome. We are a greedy bunch!

diamondsrock · 05/01/2015 15:30

I've found it interesting doing surveys and I'd like to see more of those. I would like to see more tests aimed at teens, especially clothes, gadgets and games!

cupofteaplease · 05/01/2015 19:41

I've just finished the Kinnerton chocolate tasting with Dh Grin

vincenta · 06/01/2015 12:23

I would love to test baby stuff, toys, clothes, accessories, pushchairs things which makes life with baby easier:)
I loved to be part of Insight Panel and hope that in 2015 I will be even more lucky :)

ekt55 · 06/01/2015 19:37

My DD loved the alphabites trial (especially the box!) I also loved the opportunity to create a photobook - I now have a lovely book of memories of my DD's 1st year. Thanks so much! Smile

Echoing a PP's request of reviewing bra measuring and other PPs' request of reviewing home safety equipment.

Boobyandthebeads67 · 07/01/2015 17:31

Hi and thanks so much for giving me the chance to be on the panel. I've really enjoyed testing a few smaller products and hopefully get the chance to test some of the larger ones in the near future. Testing panty liners was a bit of a giggle with the mums at our local breastfeeding group - we can all laugh about bladder weakness because the majority of us have suffered at one time or another so it was a great opportunity to be able to talk about new products with the.

silverlace · 11/01/2015 07:42

I tested the fitbug device. I must admit it has been shelved over Christmas but will be coming out again as part of my new years resolution!

I used the product test reviews to select a steam cleaner. I must say I am very impressed with the Karcher one that other mumsnetters tested.

I would like to see more for older children and more events away from
London that we could possibly attend.

AnnMumsnet · 14/01/2015 11:57
