Missed you all. Been a bit distracted by life (you know how it is!) but back now. And shall we organise a meet-up? How is June looking for everybody?

Brighton isn't looking hopeful for me at all tbh. London is a possibility but would depend on whether dh could get the day off to look after ds2. The cannon sounds as though it could be fun although Legoland is a bit too pricey for me.

TheRealMrsF · 08/04/2005 13:47

if legoland was an option...they do good group discounts...and families with SN get allowed to the front of all ride ques...so no waiting around...but understand that even so this might be too much for some to cope with

CT...according to the AA Route Planner....

From : Trowbridge,Wiltshire
To : Peterborough,Cambridgeshire
Distance: 150.7 miles
Length : 2 hr 46 min

A halway point for us would be :At Wendlebury Interchange roundabout take the 1st exit, then join the M40 motorway (signposted The Midlands, Northampton, Banbury)

So anyone want to join us at the Wendlebury Interchange roundabout !!!!!!!!!!!

heartinthecountry · 08/04/2005 13:53

Or London on a weekend?

TheRealMrsF · 08/04/2005 14:13

Oxford is kind of central to the southern uk.....i'm trying coppertop.......

coppertop · 08/04/2005 15:31

So anyone up for a picnic on the roundabout with me and MrsF?

TheRealMrsF · 08/04/2005 16:31

bring-along-a-clipboard....and we can do a traffic survey!

Bagsey counting red cars.......

dinosaur · 08/04/2005 16:42

There will need to be lots of buses to keep DS1 amused...

JakB · 08/04/2005 18:25

OMG!!!
Although I'd love to join you on the roundabout I'm thinking a standard London weekday meet-up before the school hols ????

How about a Brighton Saturday meet AND a London weekday meet?? Those who can make it to Brighton do and those who can make it to London do - simple as that. I would be up for BOTH! Gotta make the most of my short time here

CT - YOU tell us when dh can get the day off and have DSs. Coordinate with MrsF (or MrsBT or TRMF or ???...) and we'll work out the meet date from there. Anytime - you just say when.

Come down to London and count red buses - there are LOADS!!! BIG double deckers even!!

JakB · 09/04/2005 17:28

Yep, both sounds great!
Everbody else?

JakB, will email you to get some CDs. THANKS!
Well, as usual, I'm on for a London meet up during the week. Maybe InternationalGirl could suggest a date as she is the one leaving the country?

InternationalGirl · 09/04/2005 21:32

I'm thinking late Apr/early May for Brighton and maybe late May/early June for London.

JakB/RnB help us decide date for Brighton Please - seeing as we're coming to Brighton hope you will BOTH be able to come (families too if you like 'cause I will bring mine) and that you'll tell us a good spot to go close to the train. Please remind me... which station do we depart from in London to go to Brighton? Waterloo/Victoria?

London - when's May school hols for most folks? My kids are off May 16-20. Do you prefer to do it after the hols or during (so families could come)? CT, MrsF????

Also in London we really seemed to enjoy Royal Academy down by Piccadilly - seemed to fit us really well - should we go there again or anybody have an idea of somewhere different. I will take the afternoon off work so as long as its central London anywhere is fine for me.

And for London meet is a Monday generally good for most?

TheRealMrsF · 10/04/2005 09:50

if it's in term time.... i'd get to london/brighton probably 12.....and assuming my DH would collect the boys from school...be able to spend the whole afternoon---- so really any day would be ok.
