Had a touch of the jealous green monster today :(

Beautiful day today, not a cloud in the sky. Perfect spring day. We had friends over for dinner last night - it was lovely, but dh and I are feeling jaded and I had rotten night with ds2 who has terrible cold/virus. Turned into bed at 1.30am - woken up by ds1 who had wet his bed at 2.15am - back to sleep to be woken up by ds2 at 3.15am (who then didnt go back to sleep until 6am ) I then slept until 11am, courtesy of dh giving me a lie in. Why, oh why, do we always burn the candle at both ends? We so rarely have friends round, but when we do look what happens!!

Anyway, shock off the jaded feel - went to a National Trust Property - ds1 moaned that it was boring (admittedly they had roped off all the fun grassy slopes that 8 year olds like to run down), ds2 (fast asleep in buggy - now he sleeps!!) and we were surrounded by loads of `perfect' famillies out with their NT 18mth darlings, walking, pointing, babbling etc. etc. Everywhere we looked!! Am I really a terrible person/jealous cow. I don't begrudge other people there healthy little darlings, but by God life sometimes seems so unfair....

Sorry to sound off, but I thought I'd get that out of my system before I went to bed

I can not beleive these women are real....maybe a few of us from here should tell them what life is really like....

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 00:54

They'd never believe it - after all, they know they're right [sad smile]

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 00:58

Glad you feel that way JM.. sometimes I have thought it's just me! So I come scuttling back to the relative sanity and grown-up world of MN!!

moondog · 29/03/2005 01:05

That ugly baby think was exceptionally thick. Some of them are barely literate (but still, you know, trying bless 'em )

Want to throw up at all that
'!2 years 5 weeks and 31/2 days until Harleeeeeeeeeeeee loses her virginity' crap, or whatever else it is they seem to be marking so obsessively.

Who cares???????

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 01:06

The tickers drive me mental - I was going to do some that listed all the achievements and non-achievements (bowel movements, mainly) in my life so far and then post copiuosly till the site crashed

However, that would've meant less time on MN, so I didn't!

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 01:06

COOL! Moondog is bitching too now! PML!

SJ xx

PS Don't you think we had all better go to bed at some point???! Just seen time!

moondog · 29/03/2005 01:07

lol hunker!!!
Can you do one for anything then?

Jayzmummy · 29/03/2005 01:07

ummmmm just finished the ugly baby thread....have to admit IMO........Trixie was right!!!!!!!!

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 01:08

I think you can - admittedly I didn't look into it too hard - may now for fun though!

moondog · 29/03/2005 01:08

I'm going to have words with that heather woman...very soon!!
She needs a smack-!

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 01:09

Careful though, MD - she does have a well-paid job she can return to at any time...

Jayzmummy · 29/03/2005 01:09

They all need a smack....so anal retentive all of em!!!!

moondog · 29/03/2005 01:11

She'll be in no fit state for paid employment when I'm done..
Does she post a lot of shite?
Is it worth signing up to goad her d'you reckon?
What are you two called over there then? (Or maybe I have to guess..)

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 01:11

Yes you can.. just put Tickers into Google. I made three to begin with.. but they looks stupid so I took themn off... and DS1 (age 12)was horrfied that I had 'charted' him on a forum full of 'strange women'! (Nowt stranger than those! [grin}) I dare you to do a really funny one Hunker! And Moondog, go on... post on there before I have to go to bed... (DS will be awake soon! eek!)

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 01:12

OK, will think one up and post with it

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 01:12

I SO wanted to ask her if her 'well paid job that she can return to at any time' was in fact, prostitution?! (But they would have pulled the thread, bloody BW Police..!)

Jayzmummy · 29/03/2005 01:13

you daredevil you!!!!

moondog · 29/03/2005 01:16

I have to prepare carefully sj....
Revenge is a plate best eaten cold don't you think..?

God listen to me!! I sound barking!!
Almost feel sorry for her. She's probably sleeping peacefully, unaware that a disparate bunch of people are planning to get her!

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 01:17

PML Moondog! You have well and truly lost your halo in my eyes now!

I almost feel sorry for her...

Jayzmummy · 29/03/2005 01:17

She should be made to go and work as a shelf stacker at tesco's and have to live on benefits for a month.....then lets see how bloody marvellous she is!!!!

moondog · 29/03/2005 01:19

lol sj!!! God, I MUST go to bed. On my own with the puppies who wake at an ungodly hour. Will sooooo regret this tomorrow!
Look out for me on BW. Will pick a name with a canine theme. G'night.
Kiss for your darling ds from me, sj.
XXXXX

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 01:20

...but she'd still have her well-paid-job-that-she-can-go-back-to-at-any-time to go back to after her Tesco's stint! There's always call for high class hookers!

hunkermunker · 29/03/2005 01:20

High-class is debatable, SJ

SleepyJess · 29/03/2005 01:22

Thanks MD. I will kiss him in the morning 'from you'.. don't want to wake the little sleepless b*gger up! (That's one of his tricks.. we say 'What are you??!' and he says "BUGGER!!" Bad I know.. but so funny, when his speech is so limited! [grin})
